Given that most fans who attend the real-life shows or watch on TV will have their favourite truck and driver it is a bit of a shame that pretty much all of the trucks need to be unlocked via play time and challenges. Other than that though, believe it or not, I have played a tonne of Monster Truck-themed games in my lifetime and the bar is higher than you might think. Monster Jam Showdown gets a pass from me.

However, it's not as fun and spectacular as I expected. Yes, it's worth a few hours and the split screen is a great tip to spend a fun time with colleagues but, at the same time, the simplicity of its proposal and the lack of identity of the vehicles in the technical, being all the same monster truck with different costume, ends up leaving us a little disenchanted with its proposal.
