Jun 11, 2025Mindseye was supposed to be an ambitious entry from IO Interactive. What was delivered is a bug-filled, unoptimized, and less-than-desirable mess instead. Almost to no one’s surprise, MindsEye needed a lot more time to polish its core aspects and mechanics.

Jul 15, 2025Although MindsEye brings varied missions and entertaining situations to the action, thanks in part to solid acting, the final quality is below par. The frame rate is dramatic, the game has many bugs, the AI is stupid, there are many graphical glitches and we could go on and on. However, the most sad thing is that MindsEye has quite a lot of potential, but it simply does not live up to it because of its many shortcomings.

Jul 23, 2025Unfinished, monotonous, and riddled with so many bugs and glitches that MindsEye has become more of a parody of GTA. What undoubtedly began as an ambitious project ultimately became a disastrous action-packed failure.

May 6, 2026MindsEye is still not a good game. It has received several fixes after the release and now it is at least playable. But the story, gameplay... Everything screams mediocrity. The driving is fun though.

Jun 14, 2025As an open world game, MindsEye is a colossal bore. It delivers on exactly zero promises generally attached to such a genre all the while being a technical shitstorm. If you were to even accept it as a straight-forward action game, and purge the hours of monotonous driving from your mind, it’s cliché, formulaic, and sadly forgettable.

Jun 17, 2025MindsEye feels like a massive missed opportunity: technically a mess, creatively lost. Even with future patches, there's little left to get excited about.
-
Jun 16, 2025There’s palpable ambition fueling MindsEye, but I can feel where it likely clashed with business decisions that forced the project out of the oven prematurely. It’s the kind of game that you can only pity, holding some empathy for the artists watching an unrealized dream tumble away like a self-driving truck down a crater. No chef wants to serve you uncooked beef.

Jun 12, 2025MindsEye is a broken, boring mess of a game that has somehow been allowed out in the world. It has little glimmers of something semi-entertaining in there with its cutscenes and story, but it’s bogged down by a vapid large scale map that is at odds with its aggressively linear campaign, and padded out with a dull repetitive gameplay loop that is nothing short of archaic.
-
Jun 17, 2025One of the worst video games of the modern era, that clearly isn’t finished – but just as clearly wouldn’t be worth even a moment of your time if it was.
-
Jun 13, 2025Poorly made and ineptly designed, MindsEye cosplays as an open world game to its own detriment. The lifeless cardboard realm we could generously label a "world" is aggressively closed off, its sandbox appearance nothing more than desperately shallow dressing for a cover shooter so bereft of features it’s bloody embarrassing.
-
Aug 7, 2025MindsEye is a grand theft of everyone’s time and money.

Jun 27, 2025I have no idea who this game is for, and I don’t think it will find an audience. Perhaps after months of updates, MindsEye will run better and feature fewer bugs. But that won’t change how boring, bland, and utterly unremarkable this game is. MindsEye is a bad game that isn’t even so bad it’s good. It’s just bad, and it will probably be forgotten in a few months, only remembered briefly when the game’s servers are shut down with little warning.
