Dec 2, 2025Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, like previous editions, appeals to a wide range of aviation enthusiasts. It can be as forgiving or as exacting as the player wants, though the PS5 version might not yet support the range of flight peripherals that PC gamers enjoy. On a vanilla PS5, the graphics lag behind the PC version as well. Still, the core experience — the deep hangar of aircraft, the ability to fly anywhere in the world — is endlessly engaging. The PS5’s closed system means that the already extensive available add-ons and dedicated legion of PC armchair pilots can’t join you in the sky. Overall, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on the PS5 is the same, full-featured experience PC and Xbox gamers have been enjoying for the past year.

Dec 8, 2025Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is a good entry point for the franchise on PlayStation, even if it still has some old problems and lacks the surprise and impact of 2020. It remains a niche game, and the shift to a more traditional game structure isn't the best way to open up that market.

Dec 8, 2025Another Microsoft exclusive arrives on PlayStation 5 and this one is marginally superior to the Xbox version, with excellent DualSense support and ironed out performance.

Dec 8, 2025Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is without a doubt the most ambitious and polished sim on the PS5 – but it’s not without its faults. Slow loading, visual inconsistencies, an underwhelming sound mix, and plenty of bugs pull this otherwise exceptional experience back down to earth. But if you can accept its shortcomings and you’re open to learning about aviation, this an obscenely impressive package, with a seemingly never-ending array of activities to engage with. Digital tourists will adore its attention to detail, while aviation obsessives will simply get a kick out of sitting in the cockpits of their favourite aircraft.

Dec 4, 2025Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 offers its most polished PS5 experience, brilliantly leveraging DualSense for deep immersion via adaptive triggers and motion controls. It delivers clearer progression through diverse challenges, but inconsistent visuals and flat AI voices occasionally detract. Crucially, forthcoming PS VR2 support promises unparalleled virtual piloting.

Dec 3, 2025While still imperfect on PS5, MSFS 2024’s methodical simulation pushes even casual flyers toward piloting zenith.

Jan 9, 2026Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PlayStation 5 is more than a crossover release. It stands as a statement of unification that allows console players to experience the same depth of simulation once reserved for PC while benefiting from the tactile feedback of the DualSense controller and the introduction of new modes that give purpose to every flight. Whether you are chasing realism, competition or exploration this is a visually spectacular and deeply immersive aviation adventure that feels perfectly at home on PS5 and sets a new benchmark for what simulation can achieve on consoles.

Dec 2, 2025My 30,000-foot view of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is that it’s one of the most immersive and meticulous simulations you can play, for better or worse. But even Microsoft is not immune to some good old-fashioned simulator jank, which keeps it from totally sticking the landing.

Dec 3, 2025MSFS 2024 on PS5 is a mixed bag. When everything works, it’s a near-perfect simulation playground with stunning visuals and complex flight mechanics. But technical issues and buggy career progression significantly temper the experience. For newcomers or casual pilots, patience is required. For enthusiasts, it’s still a compelling, if imperfect, flight simulator.
