    Pros:
    -Fun gameplay loop
-Making levels is easy and fun - Watching replays of people dying in your levels never gets old -Always different levels to play - constant progression (ableit slow) - Grapple gun allows for some advanced movement Cons: -Low amount of traps/enemy types (More is promised in a roadmap) -Raids on player made levels are mostly ethier brain numbingly boring or sadistic

It's worth a go but it definitely needs more content ASAP.

Got it free on PS Plus a week after it first came out - first red flag. Controls are slow, aiming is finicky and difficult not to overshoot. You can't dash, and your jump is long and floaty. Traps are big glaring pieces on the grid-based terrain, and your goal is to trudge through, try to move your cross hair over them, and blow them up one by one. Your staring gun has 2 ammo, and you have to retrieve it from the destroyed traps afterward. You also have grenades - not sure why. You do all this to essentially "capture the flag", a DNA packet you take back to a giant embryo to level it up for in-game currency. You use buy more costumes and such, to look different while you raid in first person. It's a shame, this is a concept that could have been very competitive and exciting. Expand

The game is really repetitive... It could be so much better, the creators are really good in design but dont have too much imagination to create the maps... IDK... GIVING A 5

Great concept, but with a truckload of flaws.

Apart from the painfully slow loading times, the bugs with replays (freezing, crashing), the server issues (can’t log in, stuck at 95% loading) - the game design itself is deeply flawed. Meet Your Maker only rewards maps that cause maximum player death. This has lead to cookie cutter level design by users that are 90% killing floors. Users

Users don’t have to ensure their maps are not impossible to complete, or (mostly) unique, so they are actually incentivised to create boring, repetitive, close to impossible levels. The most popular comment thread in a Reddit AMA with the developers spoke to this exact flaw, and there wasn’t one response from the developers around it. There are other issues around lack of diversity in traps and design capabilities that also lead to boring repetitive levels, an OP grapple, the fact that you can basically run through any level that isn’t a “killing floor”, but they pale in comparison to the “killing floor” issue, so not even worth going into detail.

I love the concept, and was obsessed with it for the first day or two, but after a week of playing I’m done. Without a big fix to core level design incentives this game has no player longevity.

Good. try it. Create your own outpost and upgrade it to at least a 2:1 death to raid ratio.
Don't give up quickly. Try to find your way to victory. Some outposts are easier with sword and shield + temporary shield and grenades, others with two guns. Start with small and normal outposts, but some of them are really hard. You can always change the map after 1 attempt. Great fresh concept,

Great fresh concept, lots of really cool designed levels and really nothing to lose. I have 25h now and there will be more :) for ps+ users if you have it for free then be sure to try it. Of course, not everyone will be pleased. Some may get mad but it depends on the approach

I can see how this game can be divisive but personally I think it’s great, the idea is killer and for someone who likes a challenge in games it’s really addictive. Plus making dastardly bases for my friends to die miserably in is just too much fun. I can see this becoming something pretty amazing. But give it a go and see if it clicks for yourself

I have already seen some pretty amazing builds. One person made a giant mammoth, another an incredible labyrinth. Looking forward to find some other crazy builds.

    What I don't enjoy:

-Warmonger can be kited to the starting area where they will freeze and become easy kills.

-There should be an easy way to collect the loot in your own bases, like a mass collect button, instead of having to collect it one by one. Depending on the base you might miss a lot of loot. The dead player tags can be very hard to spot.

    - The grappling trap should be worked on : It should either be able to grab you trough the lava traps or it shouldn't, not what's happening now, grabbing you clipping through the lava blocks.

    - There should be a negative accolade (causing a drop in prestige) for players intentionally blocking access to the ancient tombs.

    - You can use a piston trap at the spawn location of the resource carrier to kill it, which gives the raider an incredibly unfair disadvantage if used correctly.

    - It should be possible to buy grenades and other accessories in the safe zone at the start of raid.

    - There is a high chance of meta builds being etablished. This could literally kill the game. Because the moment you run in the same kind of raid every time, it becomes boring.

    - The rezz in co-op mode should have a timer. Now it's way to easy... You can just send one player trigger all the traps and the other keep rezzing him.

    Final thought:

This game has a lot of potential and I really hope that the devs don't drop the ball and actively add new stuff to the game, whilst keeping an eye on how the builds develop in order to nerf or buff some stuff to avoid meta builds being established.

As a player, I have enjoyed the game immensely and have spent over 89 hours playing it.

Meet Your Maker is a game that has a lot of potential, and I believe that future updates could improve certain aspects such as the behavior and intelligence of traps, their activation range, the functionality of blocks and weapons. However, despite these minor improvements, the game executes its premise extremely well and is a must-play for anyone looking for an immersive and engaging gaming experience.

Meet Your Maker reminds me of other successful games like No Man's Sky and Cyberpunk, and I can confidently say that it has a bright future ahead of it. The game is not too difficult, but it is not too easy either, and the gameplay ultimately depends on your playstyle.

Overall, I give Meet Your Maker a perfect score of 10/10. It is a game that executes its premise flawlessly, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new and exciting gaming experience

Why is aiming artificially made delayed and laggy with performance mod on but not on resolution mod. Add fov slider like any modern game should have. Also add custom controllers options. Cmon this is just pure lazyness. Simplier lighter game also like this should have 120fps options.

Try to upgrade a weapon without the required amount of resources.. The game waits several seconds before telling you you don't have enough resources! Omw modern gaming.

The game self feels a bit... "hollow". Everything looks dull, like the Playstation 1 "Doom" era. You can play it with friends so, that bumps up the rating.

How It Stacks Up: Made by the people who made Dead By Daylight, it is of similar quality. Very fun to play until you realize how broken it is. At which point, you either quit, or hate-play it. There isn't quite a game out there that's like it, so it's worth to play it once just for the unique experience.

Meet Your Maker is a particularly fun title thanks to the combination of shooting, exploration and construction of the fort. The playful recipe has proved to be fairly varied and never excessively monotonous, although the players' choices are still rather limited. In other words, insiders will have to continue to support the project so that the community can indulge in creating ever more ingenious bunkers and outposts but, more than anything else, capable of claiming countless victims.

Meet Your Maker is a highly addictive first-person shooter/base-building hybrid. Its satisfying gameplay loop is cemented by various progression systems, filling that itch of watching bars and numbers go up at a consistent rate. The tools and systems are in place to allow for creative death traps filled with tons of hair-raising moments and satisfying encounters, further enhanced when playing with a friend. In fact, the community has already made expert use of existing content. Unfortunately, creativity can only take that content so far. Before long, deja vu will become this game’s crutch. Meet Your Maker needs significantly more content across the board to become a sustainable community experience.
