    Engaging and funny adventure from beginning to end. I really enjoyed my time with the Guardians! Too bad it's only 4k30 though. I hope it gets patched before my next playthrough.

    Truly next generation, a perfect 10. I would not have ever played this game if it hadn't been part of PS Extra, and it was an eye opening experience.

    The game stood out immediately due to it's graphical quality on ps5, with extreme detail and lovingly designed sets rendered in perfect 4k. I later found out I was running in performance mode instead of quality or raytracing. The score is    Truly next generation, a perfect 10. I would not have ever played this game if it hadn't been part of PS Extra, and it was an eye opening experience.

    The game stood out immediately due to it's graphical quality on ps5, with extreme detail and lovingly designed sets rendered in perfect 4k. I later found out I was running in performance mode instead of quality or raytracing. The score is marvelous and cinematic, and if you grew up in the 80ies there will never be a better game soundtrack.

    But the true distinction in this game is in the writing. It's written at a level of a Marvel blockbuster, with constant meaningful dialog by the characters, but stretching over the week or so that it'll take you to complete the game. On a deeper level, the story is meaningful and interesting.

    This makes this game a novel work of art. I can't stress enough how big of a step this is - this is the game where the family gets together to watch the player complete just for the sake of getting the story.

    A special shout out to the actors and voice actors in this game. For licensing reasons, the games feature character models different from the cinematic actors, which to me has been offputting in the past. In this game, the actors and writers did such a phenomenal job that the dissonance (which is explained away by alternate timelines) disappeared and I fully bought into their portrayal.

    At 10/10, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is still criminally underrated.    … Expand

    What a great surprise! Fantastic writing and story, really fun gameplay, and stunning graphics. More linear, story driven single player games like this please!

    One of those few games that I'll happily give top marks. They had the deck stacked against them after the movies since it felt weird to accept new versions of those same characters. But I ended up finding the game versions even better than in the movies.

    This game is so amazing !
    Tons of run ..after avangers game i thought this game will be the same ..but...this game is one of the best game i played in years !
    The fighting is so fun,the story is great .

    Being a fan of the movies, when I saw a couple of videos, I thought this was Mass Effect only with the Guardians of the Galaxy, maybe too good to be true, but willing to give it a good gamble (got the physical deluxe cosmic edition).

    This game is the perfect example that shows that the meta score is pointless. The actual gamers are rating it higher than the “expert” critics. It is that good. You play the game as Star Lord and command the other Guardians to use their speciality moves. The voice acting and in game music is amazing. It is a very fun game and if you haven’t played this already, what are you waiting for?This game is the perfect example that shows that the meta score is pointless.     I really enjoyed this game. The gameplay, visuals were top notch, but i also really loved the story & characters. I do miss triple A games with a solid campaign, no online multiplayer and -surprisingly- the pause button

    Fairly speaking I do not think that it is 10 out of 10. More like 8 out of 10. But I really want to give praises for linear story driven single player experience. While the game has it flaws it still gives the amazing experience. Writers should get theirs reward on TGA. For those ppl who like cool stories in the games, I really recommend this. It is amazing.

    I haven't been this happy with a game in years. It's clearly inspired by the Mass Effect series and yet adds to it in design quality. The ship and missions feel lively at all times, as there is constant conversation and banter going on. When it was over, I missed this found family immediately. Even as a GotG fan, this is by far my favorite Marvel content ever made, including the movies,I haven't been this happy with a game in years.     Fantastic single player experience. It’s great having a linear experience, beautiful sci fi set pieces, great music, awesome dialogue. It’s as close quality to a first party game from the likes of Naughty Dog that a 3rd party studio will likely ever get. That’s not a slight. Please buy and play the game. Tell Enid these games are still important. A sequel will likely knock it out of theFantastic single player experience.     Holy cow, is it possible ?

    okay the combat could have benefit from a few more hours in the oven but the one point it loses for a not top notch combat system it regains for the "absolute no BS" approach when it comes to games as an escapism without politics.. WOW. you almost forget you play a stupidly normal white southern US metal loving country guy. mister max ordinary. and its still fun to the brim.

    11/10 this is a well deserved gem in the open..    … Expand

    What a great game.
    Well written characters, amusing dialogues and gorgeous music.
    It's a shame that Square Enix decided to give this game so poor marketing company.

    This game looks so good on PC I'm utterly impressed. I was hesitant because of the Avengers game but I'm glad I took a leap of faith and bought it. This is a no-BS action comic book game without any politics injected. The devs were out to make simply a fun game and a great experience and they succeeded! The environments are creative, colorful and just breathtaking. The missions are fleshed out with tons of variety and unique ideas. Your job is to basically direct the team within the arena while kicking a** yourself and the combat system is super unique as you control your teammates! Tons of cool unlocks and unique abilities as you play as Star Lord, Peter-Quill... I don't know what the PS5/XBX versions look like but on PC it has some seriously amazing next-gen level graphics and I haven't ran into a single glitch. The game has very obliviously been well designed but with a controller in mind. I took the risk of playing it on m/kb and it's def doable/fun but probably a bit more relaxed on controller. This game is well deserving of your money! Great work. Bravo!… Expand

    It's like Mass Effect meets Uncharted. Love it. Universe, graphics, characters, everything works well to deliver one of the best stories in 2021 for me.

    A fun single player story, a beautiful graphic even on PS4. One the best campaign i have played! The dub in Portuguese is the best I've ever seen! They used the same voice actors from the movies here, it was amazing!

    My god, this game is good!
    Amazing dialog, story, set pieces, combat, graphics. Almost didn't buy it day one but glad I did. If you love good immersive fun singleplayer games, don't miss out on this one!

    gameplay is fantastic, story is great. graphic look great.. Rocket, Star-Lord aka Peter, Gamora and Drax are great characters in this game. it is hell fun game ever i playing. hope it getting sequel

    With all the lifelike dialogues this really feels like being in the movies. I even like those characters partly better than the "real" ones. Combat is also fun. Best movie adaptation to date.

    Guardians of Galaxy are the real blast that Marvel fans needed after more than mediocre Avengers. The “worst” part of the game is a mere fact, that you are not able to enjoy every single comment in the background and enjoy very well written characters.

    The story is entertaining, and it features characters from the Marvel universe that haven't yet surfaced in the movies, such as Fin Fang Foom, Lady Hellbender and the Nova Corps. Add in the requisite humor and self-deprecation and an eclectic killer soundtrack, and you get one of the most enjoyable games of the year.
