May 21, 2024Many people claim that Madison VR is the scariest horror game ever. Such a claim, scientifically backed or not, still depends on you. As a veteran of many a horror game, it is certainly in the discussion. Smooth controls and an improved inventory system would make Madison VR a definite contender for the title of the scariest horror game ever.

May 23, 2024Authentic horror experience, MADiSON VR is claustrophobic, scary, distressing, and bizarre. The title features a well-crafted atmosphere, which takes advantage of wonderful technical and sound effects to amplify the feeling of "bad things."

May 21, 2024Madison VR is quite reminiscent of P.T. in its approach to horror and definitely not for the faint of heart. Additionally, the story is engaging the visuals are impressive.

May 1, 2024MADiSON VR brings the spine-tingling chills and palpitation-inducing dread that the 2022 horror game is known for. This is further complemented by full immersion in virtual reality, coupled with haptic feedback from your headset and controller. Obtuse and unclear puzzles that were present in the original, alongside poor contextual controls in the VR adaptation, mar what is otherwise a terrifyingly terrific outing from Bloodious Games.
-
May 1, 2024Madison VR is derivative, some of the puzzles have annoyingly obscure solutions and there really should be more VR comfort options, but the foreboding atmosphere and genuine frights more than make up for this. Put on your PSVR 2, plug in the earphones and get ready to have the bejesus scared out of you.

Mar 6, 2026Madison is a great VR horror game. With a constant biting tension and excellent puzzle design, utilising the camera mechanic throughout, players should be thrilled. It is highly recommended for the install base of PS VR2 owners who are into horror content. Bring a spare pair of underwear and strap in for some very cool spooks.

May 24, 2024With Madison, we got a unique indie horror game that was wonderfully atmospheric and genuinely scary. It also scored with a very well-written, multi-layered story. All of this is present here. However, the controls and interactions don't translate well to virtual reality, often being clunky and choppy, and can take you out of the immersion and atmosphere of the game.
-
Jul 4, 2024The move to virtual reality strengthens what makes MADiSON an effective scare machine, while shining a light on its poor design choices and slightly wonky VR implementation.

May 2, 2024I think the VR format is utilised very well, the visuals and atmosphere are brilliant and the horror is effectively done. But at the same time, it is dragged down by gameplay frustrating things and some design around puzzles that do not work in a satisfactory way.
