    Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is a phenomenal narrative adventure from DON'T NOD. It expertly blends supernatural elements with a deeply personal coming-of-age story.

    Lost Records Bloom & Rage is another gem in the now revered catalogue of Don’t Nod Entertainment. Sporting a set of characters that are so wonderful, and propelled by powerful voice acting, the tale will stay long in memory. Gorgeous visuals and a superb soundtrack help make this game a beauty to behold. The camcorder gameplay mechanic is a fantastic addition to an otherwise solid, if not spectacular gameplay design. Whilst the main plot can get bogged down by some minor issues, the characters themselves help seal this game as another memorable adventure.

    The coming-of-age adventure in the style of Life is Strange, with great characters, dialog and a mystical storyline, lets up a little at the end, but offers a great experience overall. I had a lot of fun with Swan, Nora, Kat and Autumn. I also enjoyed taking a nostalgia trip back to the 90s through the girls and reminiscing about my own youth.

    By the time it reaches its conclusion, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage feels like a missed opportunity. What begins with such a compelling and intriguing premise is rooted in a mystery that, over the course of the hours needed to complete the adventure, never becomes truly engaging, fails to surprise, and gradually loses its edge as the story unfolds. The game's real intention lies elsewhere: to tell the story of a friendship, a drama that is sadly human, and to explore a dual timeline, where past and present ultimately never truly connect. It could have been a powerful tale of coming-of-age and friendship, had it been written with more honesty.

    An engaging, intriguing story in which every element seems well thought out and fits in with the rest: from the audiovisual setting, to the authentic characters, dialogue and the plot. It's a pity that the story moves too slowly at first, and when it speeds up, it speeds up too much.

    Lost Records: Bloom & Rage feels like a genuine return to form for Life is Strange spiritual successors, offering a concise yet profoundly moving story enriched with heartfelt themes, tightly-woven character dynamics, and subtly captivating supernatural elements. Although I suspect I landed the “bad” ending among its possible outcomes, this only heightened the emotional depth of the experience. Bonding with Swann and her friends felt like reconnecting with reflections of relationships I’ve nurtured in my own life, cherishing them in the present before they inevitably fade into memories. That sense of fleeting connection is nothing short of magical.
