It's another dumpster like the last games and somehow is the worst one in the series. Don't buy this game it's a literal scam that uses queer baiting for sales. Absolute garbage.

Would have rated it higher if I were to rate it as a PS4 game. But I bought it for my PS5. It's unacceptable that the devs are either so greedy to release it at its current state or too lazy and incompetent to optimize the game for the PS5. It plays like a last-gen game at 30fps and slooooow loading times.

30 FPS is unacceptable, this is a simple game from the technological perspective - how come it is limited to 30 fps and has such long downloads? And why can't I skip the boring dialogues? I stopped playing the game until it gets patched.

Been a HUGE fan of LIS since the beggining. I was excited as hell to play a new game.
But they took the crappy decision to cap the game at 30 fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X and it's a sluggish 30 fps.. And they dare claiming that it's for a cinematic experience (Official anwser from their Twitter feed) But on PC you can go at 60fps and even higher..

PS5 and Xbox Series X would have EASILY handle this game at 60 fps but Deck Nine excused their lazyness by telling us that they did that on purpose.

Also the game is filled with several seconds loading screen when you go from inside to outside, when once again the consoles would have been able to handle no loadings screen at all or very short time loadings.. There's nothing immersive in a sluggish 30 fps with frequent 10-12 seconds loading screen. There's no excuse a game like Miles Morales can play at Dynamic 4K + Ray Tracing + 60 Fps + No loading AT ALL on PS5. Deck Nine, you missed the mark completely with this one and it's unacceptable. You didn't took the time or the will to optimize your game, don't you dare tell us it was on purpose. We're not dumb.

Life is strange true colors runs with unstable 30 fps on next-gen consoles and need patch. I expected from game like this 60 fps option...

The worst of all Life is Strange series, including Before the Storm. Do not trust professional reviews, story is so boring.

I quit the game half an hour in, so my review will only show the technical mess this game is. It's not even 30fps on PS5, and I could live with 30fps in games like that.

Poor story telling and poor acting. Actors seem to be reading from the script like absolute robots. The game failed miserably in trying to make any of the characters likeable, apparently the town was full of soulless people until Alex arrived and somehow made it worse. The “power” Alex has is not called empathy, is manipulation. No real consequences in any choice you made. This is game isPoor story telling and poor acting. This game is extremely expensive. The greedy developers are charging $60 for this interactive movie. The first Life Is Strange was $5 per episode, making it a total of $25. You would think we would get more than 5 episodes/chapters at this outrageous price increase, but the developers were too greedy and lazy for that. It doesn't even have the AAA quality to justify the $60 price tag. This game is extremely expensive. The greedy developers are charging $60 for this interactive movie. The story is poorly written with cringeworthy dialogue. The running animations are also cringeworthy. The graphics are trash. Despite the trash graphics, the game still manages to have loading screens when entering/exiting interiors. That is very PS2-like. It's already bad enough that this so-called PS5 game has garbage animations. To make matters worse, this game doesn't even have an option to run this game at 60 fps. How can a bare-boned game with terrible graphics not run at 60 fps on a PS5 console? That is embarrassing. The in-game arcade games are more fun than the game itself.

There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, there is not a reason to touch this game again. Charging $60 for a 9-10 hour campaign with no replay value is a cashgrab. You can't even play the table soccer minigame locally with a friend. Not to mention that the ball physics are pathetic in that minigame. I don't recommend this game at all. Just wait for it to be free on PS Plus.

Life is Cringe and Soy: True Colors . I'm not an empath and I guess I'll never will be. If you like woke cringy nonsense like this you should definitely buy. I don't know what type of audience likes these types of games but it is obviously one with inferior genetics and intelligence.

Life is Strange: True Colors is next game from great games series, but is much different than first and second game. Main character arrive to her hometown and players start from that point. Alex who is playable character has super power. She can see people's emotions as specific aura. Fun factor from this game for me was terrible. Fun factor from this game for me was terrible. Alex's superpower is not as cool as previous game's characters powers. That reason gameplay is boring, players can't fight, can't change time or do other epic actions. Most of gameplay is roaming on the streets of little town, speak with "friends". Characters in game are too soft, too weak for me. They have personality, but I felt like in teen drama. We don't have strong lider, woman, man. All characters are crying babies, and Alex's must speak with them about feelings. After excellent Life is Strange 2 I expected something more than "teen drama".
Controls in game is good on ps5, players can use a few buttons with intuitive placement on gamepad.
Graphics looks nice and stylized on animation movie (like Shreck), this is big plus, because that kind of graphics slowest get old. City is full of details, and look nice so it's another advantage.
About sound in this game I cannot tell much. Is not good, but not bad. Voice acting can be better, songs used in game are pretty fresh and cool.
Despite boring plot the newest part of series offer a lot of morality choice with impact to game, maybe not that big impact as previous parts of LiS, but still True colors is replayable game, minimum two times.
Life is Strange: True Colors is not bad game, but if you don't like teen drama you will be disappointed, but if you want kill some time, you like shallow plot and you don't have other games to play you can try True Colors.

Life Is Strange drifted away from exciting teenage stories towards serious narratives commenting on our reality. Alex’s ability elevated interactions to a new level but its potential feels unrealized. The game is also short and the story only livens up by the end of it. [12/2021, p.46]

Life is Strange: True Colors sets a new bar for the series. Deck Nine does a stellar job of exploring painful topics that evoke true emotion both in-game and out, using its cast of well-written characters and set pieces, all packaged within a gorgeous environment and a beautiful soundscape.

The end result is a remarkable, powerful game. Life is Strange: True Colors stays true to the series’ roots, using supernatural twists and an underlying mystery as the backdrop for a story that’s focused on the quiet beauty of everyday life and the connections that form between people. Within that, it carves its own path with a moving exploration of the power of empathy and the importance of finding a place to call home.
