    Mixing repetitive, imprecise combat with annoying characters and a landslide of nonsensical, proper noun-stuffed lore, Immortals of Aveum is almost so bad it's good. If only.

    Immortals of Aveum should be applauded for trying something unique and exciting. It’s not every day that a studio attempts to aesthetically reinvent the first-person shooter genre with its debut game, and it’s clear the folks at Ascendant Studios tried their damndest to make the “Call of Duty but with magic” concept work. But for all its overwhelming visual splendor and adherence to modern conventions like skill trees and stat-boosting equipment, Immortals of Aveum is just as soulless as the military shooters from which it takes inspiration. It’s a paint-by-numbers buffet of contemporary tropes, and even when regarded against the full scope of creative and moral bankruptcy in the AAA space, it somehow still manages to fade into the scenery.

    The devs brag about using UE5 but this game is blurry and full of weird artifacting or visusl weirdness on the consoles.. just like the uglyThe devs brag about using UE5 but this game is blurry and full of weird artifacting or visusl weirdness on the consoles.. just like the ugly characters that have milion of polygons but the face of a monkeys but the game has all the modern tech but its sll worthless as the game overall looks soft and ugly..We pay for all this tech for devs to avert the male gaze to make Anita proud. The no artistic representations of female beuty in this game thsts for sure..The soy drinkers willl be happy. If your a real fan of gaming you know what this is before playing it. Another cringe filled bore festival, filled with ""Modern Writing"""and Chatacter design ...The fact that the characters in this game are so unlikable and badly written makes it hard to sit though the hours of dull finger bang bang combat as you don't care to know what happens in the story...It is generic EA wannbe AAA gunk that appeals to a minority of people that log in to twitter every morning to find out what they are thinking and feeling for the day and decide what to play by tunning into IGN or Shill Up...Corperate sheep...You must like this cause the big comoany made ..All the twitter generated Politically correct and university ideologies are here in this game and the whole thing is just off putting like watching She Hulk or an IGN podcast...… Full Review »

    18 hours into the game and im enjoying it. The first 5-6 hours are no fun and annoying because tutorials and jak calling kirkan "sir" when18 hours into the game and im enjoying it. The first 5-6 hours are no fun and annoying because tutorials and jak calling kirkan "sir" when kirkan is female and in kirkans bio she has her/she pronouns but she wants to be called sir, you get used to it after some hours though, Enough with the ESG DIE garbage because it takes me out of the fantasy. Graphics a bit grainy but nice on the eyes, music is kind of cool, the gameplay is actually very good with the magic shooting. I think the gameplay and magic shooting is strong and keeps me engaged. Biggest complaint i personally think is the characters and their dialog. I would still recommend this game to anyone who sees this but maybe, if your broke,wait for it on sale or when it comes to Playstation +… Full Review »

    Just Finished the game. It is a great game night wait for a sale though if you don't plan on getting the platinum. It is a FPS with magic.Just Finished the game. I think it is mostly a beautiful game graphically, I had minor issues of slowdown but mostly not notable. It does start slow, the first few hours are tutorials with stretches of game play. Once it opens up and you can level up it is fantastic combat.… Full Review »
