A strong beginning, but the fun fades when Humanity moves away from the puzzles in favor of action.

Humanity is one of the most bizarre video games ever, but also is one of the better puzzle games in the last years [Recommended]

The thing about Humanity is that, at various times, it can feel like a lot of other games, whether it’s Lemmings, other titles from Enhance, or those classic PlayStation experiences that inspired it. But eventually, it shows itself to be entirely unique, a masterclass of design that keeps confronting you with concepts while somehow also easing you through the experience. It doesn’t just want to challenge you; it wants to show you things — and there’s a lot to see.

Despite some missed opportunities, Humanity is still an excellent release and nonetheless compelling in VR. It's a great fit for the medium and a brilliant example of Sony's PS5/PSVR 2 dual offering strategy, also seen in Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil Village.

The game starts out fun because you can solve problems your own way, but after act 3, all of the puzzles have one fixed solution, which is boring and makes the game a chore to play. Full Review »
