    This game is everything I ever wanted from a good Harry Potter game. And Harry isn't even in it. The game mechanics, especially the fighting is far better and more fun than I expected. It's clearly aimed at children so don't expect people or creatures exploding into a cloud of blood and organs. Nearly every aspect of the books is in the game, potion brewing, broom flying, taming magicalThis game is everything I ever wanted from a good Harry Potter game. And Harry isn't even in it.     Hogwards legacy is such an amazing game. It’s the dream all Harry Potter fans have been dreaming about. The graphics are stunning even in Performance mode. I would recommend using balance mode with the fps limit deactivate (40-50fps).

    The story’s actually quite interesting and it develops during the whole game. You also progress getting all the spells, monster sack, broom, etc slowly so    Hogwards legacy is such an amazing game. It’s the dream all Harry Potter fans have been dreaming about.     I rarely review on Metacritic but had to come and support this amazing game. I was excited for the game as I love the books and movies, but my word I had no idea! I expected that it would be good, but I had no idea it would be this good. It looks beautiful and captures the world so incredibly well.     I've never really payed any attention to the Harry Potter books or the movies, however ever since I started playing Hogwarts legacy all that has changed! Hogwarts legacy is a Masterpiece of a game!!! And a must have game in any gamers library of games. I've now starting to watch the Harry Potter movies and I'm impressed!!!     Excellent adaptation of its source material. Combat, while not complicated, is overall fun and challenging. The graphics have great design and detail, though there could stand to be some technical improvements. The main plot and sidequests, while not perfect, is serviceable.     Hogwarts Legacy is an absolute masterpiece. Sure the game has it's flaws but it is the most faithful recreation of the Wizarding World I have seen. Nearly every detail is accurate to the books to a point that even the films fail to realize. It almost feels like the pages of the books are coming to life but with a whole new story.     The closest game comparison is probably Skyrim, but this game is much more charming, more fun, and the combat is actually better. It does have its shortcomings like average graphics and voice acting, but Skyrim had the same weaknesses.

    The open World Potter game you have been waiting for. I got the deluxe version of the game and have played a good deal now. The world is so detailed and magical. All the moving paintings and staircases you expect. Combat is fun too! Hard mode has enough of a challenge to keep this Elden Ring fan happy.

    The best single player rpg in the Harry Potter's universe. The world is massive, Hogwarts is full of secret and easter eggs, i love this game and i'm really happy i finally got a chance to be part of the wizarding world! A must play for every fans. If you like a challenge i suggest to switch the difficulty to hard.

    A very polished Ubilike open world game with a harry potter finish, nothing you haven't seen before in terms of function.
    It's amazing to see Hogwarts realized on the nextgen, the people who did the world design are the True MVP's of Legacy.

    I'm very impressed so far. The game performs fine, the music is incredible, it feels like I'm playing inside the movies, but a different time period and story, combat is very good but I do wish there was more variety, the world feels huge, memorable characters, graphics are excellent, controls and menus are fine except for spell switching...a bit cumbersome.     On Combat: I was a bit afraid how combat was going to be. One tip is as soon as talents are unlocks make sure you buy the 3 other spell diamonds. With that they did an amazing job of making you have to parry and dodge. Watch those goblins their attack patterns sometimes are quicker causing you to lose out a parry. The spells are not super flashy which I enjoy cause it does not cause to much stuff happening on screen which if you played Forspoken would fill your screen up so much you lose track of the action. On Graphics:
    I play it on PS5. I have found the Balanced setting to be the best for me and I turn off motion blur and depth of field. This makes it look cleaner with a ton of small details still showing and frame rate barely ever dipping. I am surprised on the user reviews that say it ps3 era graphics cause then I know they haven’t played it and prolly just acting as if they know based on some low quality videos. Also those that rated 3 or less must not like gaming cause this game looks beautiful. On Characters Love the interaction with other students they have a whimsy to them and even the one you don’t interact with will have side conversations that are fun to listen to. Your own character is fun to make look cool or goofy. You can alter your look regardless of loot. Once you loot an item or identify the cosmetic is instantly unlocked to apply to any other item. I currently wearing a suit of armor with a goblin helm. The house you choose only has nuanced bearing on the game so play the house you connect to. Yes I am a HufflePuff. On Story. I have seen many mixed reviews about the story. But half way through I love it simplicity but at the same time intriguing way it is being told. Sadly I will not elaborate as I won’t give spoilers. I have played some small side quest and some that are full fledged fun individual stories. Conclusion
    Though I am not doing an extensive review here. It’s only because I think you all should decide. But for me it’s a tie with GOW Ragnarok for my most enjoyment gaming in the last 2 years and above my other favorite Horizon Forbidden West. If you hate open world style games this might not be your cup of tea. For me it’s 95 percent what I love therefore 10/10 for me. That missing 5 percent are for only the few tech flaws I experienced. Thankfully they were not immersion breaking for more than a couple seconds. P.s. saw one reviewer give it a zero with saying there are loading screen everywhere. If you have not played the game don’t believe the zero point reviewers they have not played the game at all. There is no loading screen and the only loading I have noticed is when going from inside the castle to the outside and it take less than 4 seconds for the door to open. But it never goes to a separate screen    … Expand

    The immersion into the Harry Potter world is phenomenal, the introduction had be feeling like I was in control of a movie, but with great gameplay. I’ve spent hours just walking around hogwarts, both inside and out.

    10/10, it’s for both kids and adults alike.

    This game is contender for game of the year and the year just started! The beauty, gameplay and story are all just amazing. Every time I start playing is extremely hard to stop. I played the first 7 hours of the game and have not made a dent to the story line because I just can't stop exploring Hogwarts!

    There’s so much to love about this game. The castle, the grounds and hamlets, the score, the combat, the deep respect for the lore… I could go on and on. The Wizarding World game I have waited for since I was old enough to want something, I am so excited to see what else can be done within this universe. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

    If you ever dreamed of attending Hogwarts you owe it to yourself to play this game. The world is beautifully realised and rich with details and puzzles, the characters and story are interesting, the voice acting is top notch, the music is amazing, and of course most of all it's just a lot of fun! As a Harry Potter and RPG fan I'm very pleased with what Avalanche has done with this game.

It's absolutely huge, has a ton of detail put into it, and truly makes you feel like a student experiencing the place for the first time. The combat isn't the deepest experience I've ever seen by any means but is still very enjoyable. Chaining together attacks in optimal ways always feels very satisfying. The only issues I have with the game is that the map for Hogwarts isn't especially helpful and really in functions as a fast travel mechanism, and that early on your inventory space is very very limited which can be very annoying until you unlock the ability to expand it.     By far the best open world Harry Potter world type game I have played. The magic, the characters, Hogwarts itself is exactly what I expected and I love it. Anyone who plays it won’t be disappointed, I highly recommend this game.

    A dream come true for the fans of J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World. So prepare your wands, put on your wizard robe and start exploring this incredibly magical world of Hogwarts which is an amazing homage to Harry Potter universe which set the bar so high, that not even Levioso could put other games on the same level.

    So far I've been playing for about 15 hours. And the game is great. Better than what I expected from it. The only thing that slightly spoils my experience are bugs. Strongrst sides - music, fights, beautiful castle. The story is also compelling. Although I do not expect any incredible twists and turns from it. Incredibly, but I got more satisfaction than from God of War.

    This is so much better than I expected. Best graphics I've seen since Red Dead Redemption 2, and a surprisingly interesting plot. The open world is huge and Hogwarts castle is the biggest labyrinth Ive seen in a game.

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
