    Quick background on me the reviewer, I tend to like single player games that is heavy on narrative the most. I also play a lot of racing games and use to play multiplayer games in my high school days but now that it's hard for me and my friends to find a good time to link up so now it’s rarer for me to get into a multiplayer game. Up to try any genre of games and sometimes I find something new that I didn't think I'd like. I own a PC (built by me), Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, PS3, PS4, PS5, and a Switch. I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of course influenced by my personal opinions.

    (9) Superb. Just shy of gaming nirvana, this score is a high recommendation because the game reviewed is head-and-shoulders above its competition.

    Rockstar is hands down the best there is when making a parody of the real world. They came out with an innovated idea to have three main characters to play as and they are all well written. You can spend a lifetime in the single player mode with how much there is in the game to do, but they also have a online mode which they just keep on adding more too. How do you choose? Online mode is full of greifers so be aware, but there is a work around to have a session all to yourself if you find yourself with bad luck in finding a good lobby. The online economy can be tough so do some research if you find it hard to make money. There are tons of helpful information on the internet for you. Now for the reason I’m not giving this game a ten. I never felt attached to any of the main characters/story didn’t have any moving moments. It was all action, which may not be a bad thing to many of you. I will always remember Niko Belic and his ambition to start a new life in America. Another issue is how they aren't being as detailed as they did in the past with the driving mechanics, car physics, relationships, and businesses.    … Expand

    I genuinely can't see the difference with this and the PS4 version. I really genuinely cant see the difference at all. I was bought it as a birthday present and I immediately felt bad for my friend after playing it. They paid real money for a change in box art. I'm really disappointed in Rockstar for this.

Same years old bugs from last gen still not fixed but GOD FORBID THERE'S A MONEY GLITCH. You'll fix that in minutes. Barely anything visually has been updated to take advantage of next gen hardware, you released gta trilogy knowing that garbage was broken, players are still able to grab your ip and boot you, online has a ton of stupid restrictions, oh but instead of fixing any of that **** you announce GTA+ and microtransaction out of the sea of microtransactions.     GTA 5 is franchise stagnation in its purest form! The PS5 version wasn't supposed to come out at all. This is at best the most ordinary patch that was supposed to come out free of charge without personal noise and trailers. Instead of releasing the next installment in the franchise, Take Two is milking the cow called "GTA Online" with update after update.

    The game is still very fun to play. This could be a free update, but since I didn't own any PS release of GTA 5 and got it for less than 10 euro it was worth it in my opinion. The upgrade brings stable 60fps and dynamic 4k. It felt very enjoyable to replay it for second time in new fidelity.

    This is still the best open-world game ever made. Well, this and rdr2. And it’s now in 4K and 60fps, so I’m enjoying the hell out of it. Yes, there’s not much new content but the low ratings are not off of Merritt. If you have a ps5 and haven’t played this game yet, go spend $20 at GameStop and waste 30+ Hours of hysterically fun foolishness

    Really low effort money grab. Sure it looks better then the original, but not 9 years and two console generations better. So I'll calmly wait for GTA 6, and in the mean time play games by other publishers that actually put effort in story and gameplay.

    3)Charges people for a framerate increase
    4)Announces a subscription which pays less than the PlayStation sign in bonus from before Enhanced release

    This company disserves zero money and I feel so bad for the incredible talent trapped by Take-Two.

    I liked it at first, the. GTA+ was introduced. Now even a 0 is to much for this **** I really don't understand why developers are trying everything to scam their fans. For me this is a BIG red light for NOT buying GTA 6 when it is released. I bet it will be one big cash grab.

    Now, this port has some false advertising aswell, yes, you guess it, Seamless Character Switching, basically its wasnt even implemented into the game, the loading times for character switching is the same (as PS4/XONE), or even a second slower. And also there's graphical improvements, well, the only thing thats look good so far would be the fire particles/effects, which was more realistic, Ray-Tracing does work, and (this will lead to reviewing ther graphics).

    For graphics, Ray-tracing first, there's hardly noticeable difference during normal gameplay without comparing, sometime shadows look worse and more blurrier and also it's didnt even change the outdated cubemap method of reflections, instead of more modern method like the Screen one (from GTA Definitve Edition).

    And lastly, to sum it up, this upgrade is not worth it, as i said before, just encourage (including those dumb kids who paid all the sh-t to Rockstar), to stop paying for this next-gen, microtranscations like Shark Cards, and GTA+ subscriptions. This will actually helping Rockstar being less lazier and using their budget to make GTA 6 and completing it, seriously, either don't buy them, or just buy GTA 5 next gen (only if you want, see below for more about upgrades) but don't pay anything microtranscations to GTA Online.

    Oh and about the Next gen upgrades, it's not free, no Smart Delivery (for Xbox users) or any bulit-in upgrade method from PS4 to PS5, and its pricing isn't worth it either, atleast 2 games (GTA 5 and Online) are now separate but still.    … Expand

    One of the the best games polished with new feutures and graphic modes. The variation of trafficking and people is one of many things worth mentioning. Very nice of rockstar to take this gem further.

    It’s GTAV, a buggy, grindy, greedy mess of a game that has no competition and therefor no reason to improve. All the greedy, grindy, sharkcardy, paywall, micro transaction ideas that they put into this game will be used to their full potential in GTA 6 and I can promise you, this is the end of a once great company    … Expand

    Can't play with PS4 players, can't retreive my save data, 10 USD for the same game that i paid 3 times, PS3, PS4, PC, not even a crossplay, they can block game modes that can't run in any other platform, but they don't do any better than slide the 30 fps cap, 1080p cap and put it on for more money

You pay the same $60 up front as you give for a much, much lesser game. Think about “Returnal” or something by comparison, made by a much smaller team with exponentially less funding.     This is simply Gta 5 with a graphics bump,and slight raytracing,and while that is cool,it is absolutely unacceptable that Gta Online has been chopped up from the last gen servers and as a result if you migrate your account and all your friends are on last gen,you're SOL.Still it might be worth the price if you really want the slight bump and significantly improved load times just be informed.

    This is very anti consumer behaviour by R*.
    Not only did they recycle this game 4 times already they are also being extra greedy by adding a subscription to the said old game.

Not only that, I saw better enhancements 6 years ago on PC, made by dudes, FOR FREE, while sitting in their boxer shorts. To top it all off, this "upgrade" ISN'T EVEN FREE. There have been MUCH better PS5 upgrades from other smaller devs for free, but the mostAbsolute disgrace. I played GTA 5 last year on my PS5 long before this recent "upgrade" and it looks no different than it does now. Not only that, I saw better enhancements 6 years ago on PC, made by dudes, FOR FREE, while sitting in their boxer shorts. To top it all off, this "upgrade" ISN'T EVEN FREE. There have been MUCH better PS5 upgrades from other smaller devs for free, but the most profitable video game dev couldn't even release their sad excuse of an upgrade for free.     So i bought the game and was hoping to be able to transfer my game from my PC to my ps5 but nope. You have to start all over again. Another thing is that the graphics is better then ps4 but not much difference compare to PC on very high settings.

    Now charging users again for an old game is unbelievable, now doing this GTA+ subscription to milk more money out of a very old game.

    Rockstar deveria ter vergonha de cobrar por essa atualização, não mudou nada no jogo somente a taxa de quadros. Coisa que outras empresas atualizaram os jogos para ps5 e não cobraram nada pra quem já tinha comprado.

    this game doesn't have much change, you have to look closely to observe the difference, it's not the same effect from gta ps3 to ps4, promises say i can't see like grass etc. apart from the first ad a lot of things turned out to be real lies i really hope the new episode of GTA, rockstar messed up the 5 in every way luckily i didn't have to pay for this one for once.     rockstar vous vous foutez de la gueule du monde avec votre jeu de merde, c'est aussi moche qu'avant, les détails des voitures sont même pas refait, quand on regarde dans les retros c'est trouble, les détails moteur encore pire, l'intérieur j'en parle même pas. bref, fini pour moi je n'achèterai plus jamais vos jeux !!!

    GTA V is at its best when leaning into the cinematic blockbusters that it takes inspiration from, while at its worst when trying to be controversial for the sake of it. Thankfully, its striking open world and variety of missions – most notably, Heists – help the Rockstar game hold up remarkably well in 2022.

    Without any content additions for those who have already explored every alley in Los Santos, this version of GTA V may not be enough for veterans, but it remains a true masterpiece in the new generation. It also supports 60 fps or the ultra-high definition in 4k, making it the best possible way to enjoy this great criminal journey.

    GTA V is a milestone in gaming -there's no doubt about that. If you are one of the few who haven't played it yet this is the best edition you could possibly get, but for everyone else there's really nothing here to justify even the low price point Rockstar is asking for.
