    Not even a single improvement apart from the 4k 60 fps that was always present on PC. They can't sell this game again. There is also no ray tracing as it was advertised.

    It is the same game that I played on PS3 with minor upgrades that are not worthy of the extra 10 USD to buy it. Nothing new. Fake RT, no textures improvement, loading times still long for nexgen consoles. 60 fps is the only thing to remark.

    It's the same s*** repackaged in a new game case with Some Very Slightly upgraded graphics and lighting. It's like beating a dead horse but changing the weapon. I felt like a sucker buying it on PS4 but did and then you wanna try selling it again on PS5 when it came out on PS3. Just let it die already!

    Not sure why this version is getting review bombed to hell, but as someone who's going into GTA V completely blind for the first time, this is the best way to play it, hands down. The DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers are used to an insane, amazing degree, 60fps framerate is smooth as butter (a much welcome relief to the PS4 version's 30fps lock), and the surround sound audio worksNot sure why this version is getting review bombed to hell, but as someone who's going into GTA V completely blind for the first time, this is the best way to play it, hands down.     Honestly, if you've played GTA V within the last decade it's been out, then stay away from this port, it's not for you. However, if you're like me and finally getting into GTA V and the series, this is a perfect jumping-on point and, bar none, the best way to play this game on consoles.    … Expand

    The game is a lot improved in terms of graphics (Now consoles have pc graphics) and performance. But the "Expanded" part is not good at all, because it's just Hao's modifications and Hao's time trial and races.
    I didn't try the story mode yet but Rockstar didn't update that.
    So I think you should try it.

    Melhorado mas nem tanto, expandindo só se for em sonhos, é mais do mesmo pela terceira vez, um lançamento onde a única diferença foram 5 veículos exclusivos e uma oficina de melhoria exclusiva pra nova geração, nada mais que isso, sem falar que sóigrar sua conta pra nova geração vc tem seu personagem zerado na plataforma antiga, coisa que não aconteceu na geração anterior.

    minimal changes, poor ray tracing, various bugs, changing characters in story mode takes longer than on ps4, draw distance isn't optimized, car mirrors don't even reflect anything
    Nothing "Expanded" and little Enhanced.
    Save transfer is a crap!
    And is it still paid? What a shame rockstar. A company that made amazing games is now like ubisoft...

    Same thing I played almost a decade ago. PS3, PS4, PC and PS5, I own them all and this is by far the most over hyped crap ever. The new R* sucks, I'm going to uninstall it and play something new for a next gen console. Even the free "Astros playroom' had far better graphics etc lol

    It's basically the same PC version with settings on Ultra. Ray Tracing, I didn't see it anywhere, and when I did it was something so minimal and it was almost impossible to see with the naked eye. and 60fps is nothing new, as it has been there for years on PC. in short, this "new version" of GTA V for the New Generation of consoles is just a hardware improvement.

    There are solid visual and performance upgrades compared to the PS4. The ray tracing implementation is decent but not great. The changes to GTA Online for newcomers is also welcome. The DualSense implementation is done relatively well.

    Thoughts-
    There isn’t much else that’s new in this version of GTA 5. That shouldn’t be surprising, of course- you wouldn’t really expect a remaster for a nine year-old game to be brimming with new content. At the same time though, given how light GTA 5 is on meaningful upgrades on new consoles, one could easily make the argument that it’s overpriced. Heck, something like this would make far more sense as a free upgrade, but anything above $10 just feels undeservedly steep. Of course, what we circle back to is the fact that the next mainline GTA game is still probably has at least a couple of years to go, and GTA 5 still clearly has more than enough life left in it to keep Rockstar flush with cash until its sequel is ready to release. Until then, if you’ve somehow never played GTA 5 before or are willing to spend money to play it again, its new-gen version is certainly the best way to do that. If, however, you already have the game on previous-gen consoles, or especially on a PC, my advice would be to save your money.    … Expand

    another lie and money scam from rockstar. only ray tracing is shadows,
    NO realtime reflections in mirrors, windows, puddles etc. all those are your bog standard in dev coding for reflections, Rockstar are a joke and MUST be INVESTIGATED. I got refunded under consumer rights of being mis-sold

    They gave us literally the same game that releases way back in 2013 for almost full price… rockstar is killing a dead horse for 3 console generations and seem to not care about the consumer. Terrible outdated with minimal “next-gen uodates”

Better Resolution than the PS4 version, better global illumination, better textures, faster loading times (up to %75 faster than on the PS4 version), better smoke and fire effects, and obviously the biggest difference is the higher frame rate. But you really shouldn't expect next gen graphics from a game from 2013. I mean it's basically GTALet's be real. The game looks obviously better. It looks great considering it's age and it does play better on performance RT mode than the previous generations. Also for £9 I would hardly call it the cash grab that the remasters were.     - BUT geometry draw distance is still the same as on PS4 version/worse than 7y old PC version
    - PC version with Redux mod looks 3x better
    - 0 single player DLC/added missions NINE YEARS after it first got released

    NOT WORTH IT!

    Long review but it’s gotta be said. If this game wasn't almost the identical version of the PC GTA5 I might’ve rated it higher. The fact that it only cost $10 is the only reason I didn’t rate it lower. The graphics aren’t breathtaking by any means. It’s a slight upgrade at best.     But 10,- eur for the ps5 optimized game is very okay. Don’t think you get gta vi here but gta v is still very Good. When you play it every 2-3 years in story mode it is still great and funny and so on. I would recommend it compared to all the „new“ remakes and remaster of this time with Worse graphics or controls.

    Cheap PC port, good deal if you never have played it but a ripoff if you have bought it in the past.
    Then again: If you never had played it until now, why would you play this now?

    I'm not a 'fanboy' but I have always very much enjoyed the gta game series, it has been a big part of my gaming growing up right from the original on ps1, the enjoyment and laughs my friends and I have had from them is priceless, and the main entries are always groundbreaking, I was eagerly awaiting the ps5 version, the ps4 version was amazing at the time but even with backwards compatibility on ps5 with faster load times it was really showing its age, the 20-25 fps had become kind of painful and even sending in screenshots to our group chats we ended up laughing as the resolution actually looked blurry in them, I don't know why it was originally called expanded and enhanced maybe Rockstar had bigger plans for it at the start, maybe time was running out or the pandemic caused big issues I don't know but they quickly dropped that title and we get gta 5 for ps5 with online becoming a separate download if you just want that.
    For an update to the game to bring it up to playable standards 9 yrs on it does quite a good job, the extra resolution is so nice with 'native 4k' being an option and omg does it show compared to the last gen versions, everything looks crisper, much more detail stands out, this game world I have spent many hundreds of hours in over the years almost feels new as stuff around every corner now catches my eye, 60fps is a very nice option and is immediately noticeable everything feels a lot more responsive, the 'ray tracing' I really like I think it makes a big difference to everything, I'm really now sure if its hardware based or in engine from Rockstar themselves, but light reflecting off cars looks great, to how headlights light up everything as you drive around, I walked into my arcade and suddenly stopped and thought oh I didn't even realise it was a glass front as I looked at the reflections in it. The game now has a much needed nice menu on startup where you have multiple options or can flick between online/story depending on what you own. Online also now has a much needed career builder for new players which gives instant access to some businesses/ vehicles/ weapons/ gta bucks, which is great as it had become very tough for new players starting from rank 1 with nothing. On next gen versions there are also a selection of 5 new cars and a new upgrade shop with new options, taking advantage of new hardware they are a lot faster than cars currently were, with another 5 older models being eligible for the faster upgrades. That sums up most of it, it isn't the next big gta its 5 updated for the new generation of hardware and as that I think its good, the game even though its showing its age is still a masterpiece, and again even by todays standards online is still very good and very unique, there is a lot to it, if I had to say what type of game is it like I would say an gta style mmo, there's so much to learn at the start, Youtube videos will help when learning how the different businesses run, and I find it incredibly addictive running my empire and my crazy collection of vehicles and property ive built up over the years. I find me and my friends always end up going back to it there's so much to do from general messing around in the world, to doing missions/ races the heists are all great fun very different and require teamwork from the movie like mission structure of the doomsday, to the play it how you want diamond casino heist to the many options Cayo Perico.
    I do think a lot of the criticism Rockstar are getting lately is self inflicted someone there is making some bad decisions and I do think they need to think about how to keep their community happy, I think something like being able to run businesses from an invite only session would go a long way, even on double bucks weeks not one of them makes as much as someone willing to farm the Cayo heist and it would make the game a lot more approachable I think to newer players. To sum up if you enjoy gta 5 it is by far the best version of it to play, for people on ps5 atm if you or your friends are looking for something to have a laugh on online I would say you have got nothing to lose by trying it while its free, I did personally buy story mode to while its on offer, playing through sometime with all the nice new resolution/ fps and extras seemed like a good purchase    … Expand

    Remember those PS+ members suppose to get 1 mil every month to carry to PS5?
    It appears that you need to own PS4 version and play the game every month to get that money.
    Those that just claim it on PSN and waiting for PS5 version got screwed over with no rewards.

    Also PS5 default does not comes with all premium rewards, they don't even have an option for you to purchase it, only way to get that premium reward is to buy the PS4 premium version and then transfer over.

    They had new thing call "Career Builder" for new player and give you 4 mil startup but that just a scam. Because you HAVE to spend at least 3 mil to start the game so you only left with less than 1 mil and options are VERY LIMITED!

    WORST thing being a new starter, is that high level players will target you and keep griefing you and you had nothing to fight back.
    Pretty much to make money it is like a living hell.

    NOT RECOMMENDED FOR NEW PLAYER!

    How about a suggestion that give new players perm passive mode for until 20 RP, just so they can actually play the game and make some money first?    … Expand

    This is a huge improvement on the PS5, only who has a 4k TV will know the great improvement on the resolution and graphics.

And because of my trying, now I need to pay in order to play gta online. Which supposed to be free. After GTA Trilogy, its clear that Rockstar and takes two have become the ultimate cash grabbers. There's absolutely nothing expanded about this "expanded and enhanced" edition, but the only thing getting expanded is the pockets of a once beloved turned greedy company.     I cannot respectively give this game a proper rating as it shows itself not to be a game, but another shameless cash grab, this is not the product of their hard working ground floor who is most definitely being pressured with this news in addition to working on GTA 6.     Play the last gen version, play it for days at a time until you're tired of it. After that, look at PC mods on ultra settings, THEN I'd recommend playing this version and seeing how much they have "expanded and enhanced", because that's the true experience rockstar wants us to have after all this time.

    Oh and give them your real life money for shark cards too please, that's still a thing    … Expand

    Ridiculous cash grab! Minor graphics improvements! Nothing new; the same game with a bit higher resolution and higher FPS count. It is not even a remaster, it's just a patch they ask you to pay for! Even if you own the game, you'll have to pay for another version! Pathetic!

    GTA 5 expired and outdated. It isn't expanded as the title suggest, no new missions, no new story content. FPS is better and it looks a little less antique as the ps4 version. Not more than a simple cash grab

Should I say more, GTA V is just a pointless cash grab that I found profoundly underwhelming when I thought the latest console port would be an instant graphics and engine overhaul adopted fromFor the fourth and possibly the final time, Rockstar Games has finally managed to bring back Grand Theft Auto V to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and surprise! It's literally the same game AGAIN. Should I say more, GTA V is just a pointless cash grab that I found profoundly underwhelming when I thought the latest console port would be an instant graphics and engine overhaul adopted from Red Dead Redemption II and sadly, it's just a maxed out PC port with no self radio that I found that very disappointing. On the positive side note, the game is playable in terms of visual and gameplay performance with nice adaptive controller response, but the overall familiar feel of Southern San Andreas in this current gen port is complacent and utterly embarrassing to fans of Rockstar Games. It's funny how Ubisoft gave Assassin's Creed Odyssey a 60fps patch for free while Rockstar Games charges consumers $10-40 to buy the game that was made from 2013 to experience more mayhem and more explosive action that still plays and feels exactly the same in 2022. No wonder why the Mile High Club building is unfinished after all these 9 years and I'm concerned for the future of Rockstar Games ever since they jacked up on the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition last year. With lazy cartoony AI upscaling and gamebreaking bugs made by the hacks from Grove Street Games, it's about to be clear that the future of Rockstar Games might be in trouble especially after we've learned that Grand Theft Auto VI is right around the corner. Ever since that notorious controversy that happened at Rockstar during and after development of RDR2 especially Dan Houser + Lazlow's departure, it is evidently clear that greed got Rockstar Games by the balls and I am sad to see them deliver games like this for profit. Overall, Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S is just a cash grab insult to gaming history and it's nowhere "Expanded and Enhanced" alright...… Expand

    GTA V is at its best when leaning into the cinematic blockbusters that it takes inspiration from, while at its worst when trying to be controversial for the sake of it. Thankfully, its striking open world and variety of missions – most notably, Heists – help the Rockstar game hold up remarkably well in 2022.

    Without any content additions for those who have already explored every alley in Los Santos, this version of GTA V may not be enough for veterans, but it remains a true masterpiece in the new generation. It also supports 60 fps or the ultra-high definition in 4k, making it the best possible way to enjoy this great criminal journey.

    GTA V is a milestone in gaming -there's no doubt about that. If you are one of the few who haven't played it yet this is the best edition you could possibly get, but for everyone else there's really nothing here to justify even the low price point Rockstar is asking for.
