    I´ve been playing this game for the last 9 years, my online character is 9 years old and I have already bought this game twice. Why oh why should I have to buy a full game for a third time? The same exact game, except now it has a few minor visual tweaks, fake raytracing and "seamless" character swapping? Please fellow gamers I beg you: do not buy this game, it is a scam by a company more than capable of remaking a game on their own, support mods, make new IP´s, renew old IP´s or just come up with new games, but instead they decide to take down mods and sue the modders, they decide to "remaster" game in the worst way possible and they decide to re-release a game that already has backwards compatibility.… Expand

    Really low effort money grab. Sure it looks better then the original, but not 9 years and two console generations better. So I'll calmly wait for GTA 6, and in the mean time play games by other publishers that actually put effort in story and gameplay.

    Really nothing new. The improvements to the games are small...Xbox one and PS4 versions are all you need. I really wish I hadn't spent the extra to upgrade.

    It is the same game that I played on PS3 with minor upgrades that are not worthy of the extra 10 USD to buy it. Nothing new. Fake RT, no textures improvement, loading times still long for nexgen consoles. 60 fps is the only thing to remark.

    The game was really good for a while... great solo, really cool online with friends, but quickly Rockstar proved to us many times that they had no other passion than money... Loads last an eternity and now that we finally have more powerful and faster consoles.. we still have to get out the wallet and it's more expensive for Xbox players...!!!     Absolute disgrace. I played GTA 5 last year on my PS5 long before this recent "upgrade" and it looks no different than it does now. Not only that, I saw better enhancements 6 years ago on PC, made by dudes, FOR FREE, while sitting in their boxer shorts. To top it all off, this "upgrade" ISN'T EVEN FREE. There have been MUCH better PS5 upgrades from other smaller devs for free, but the mostAbsolute disgrace. I played GTA 5 last year on my PS5 long before this recent "upgrade" and it looks no different than it does now. Not only that, I saw better enhancements 6 years ago on PC, made by dudes, FOR FREE, while sitting in their boxer shorts. To top it all off, this "upgrade" ISN'T EVEN FREE. Their ips like gat v and red dead are so boring and no exciting. At least before there was some variety, now they just make red dead and gta.

    I liked it at first, the. GTA+ was introduced. Now even a 0 is to much for this **** I really don't understand why developers are trying everything to scam their fans. For me this is a BIG red light for NOT buying GTA 6 when it is released. I bet it will be one big cash grab.

    Another lazy cash grab from once a beloved studio. No real improvements besides a graphics setting that should be free. A resolution bumb and framerate boost is not worth it.

    Now, this port has some false advertising aswell, yes, you guess it, Seamless Character Switching, basically its wasnt even implemented into the game, the loading times for character switching is the same (as PS4/XONE), or even a second slower. And also there's graphical improvements, well, the only thing thats look good so far would be the fire particles/effects, which was more realistic, Ray-Tracing does work, and (this will lead to reviewing ther graphics).

    For graphics, Ray-tracing first, there's hardly noticeable difference during normal gameplay without comparing, sometime shadows look worse and more blurrier and also it's didnt even change the outdated cubemap method of reflections, instead of more modern method like the Screen one (from GTA Definitve Edition).

    And lastly, to sum it up, this upgrade is not worth it, as i said before, just encourage (including those dumb kids who paid all the sh-t to Rockstar), to stop paying for this next-gen, microtranscations like Shark Cards, and GTA+ subscriptions. This will actually helping Rockstar being less lazier and using their budget to make GTA 6 and completing it, seriously, either don't buy them, or just buy GTA 5 next gen (only if you want, see below for more about upgrades) but don't pay anything microtranscations to GTA Online.

    Oh and about the Next gen upgrades, it's not free, no Smart Delivery (for Xbox users) or any bulit-in upgrade method from PS4 to PS5, and its pricing isn't worth it either, atleast 2 games (GTA 5 and Online) are now separate but still.    … Expand

    GTA 5 is franchise stagnation in its purest form! The PS5 version wasn't supposed to come out at all. This is at best the most ordinary patch that was supposed to come out free of charge without personal noise and trailers. Instead of releasing the next installment in the franchise, Take Two is milking the cow called "GTA Online" with update after update.

    Not worth the money. If you buy this, you're supporting **** like GTA Trilogy Remastered, GTA+, and milking out a game that has already been around and released multiple times on different platforms, out of pure greed. If you support this, you support waiting for another ten years for GTA VI to come out, or to come out earlier but in a disappointing state compared to what Rockstar has already delivered to us, years ago. Usually in the game industry, you see progress over different sagas throughout the year, and here you have the complete opposite effect, yet the end result is the same for them, because you are buying their trash. Even Apple releases more features every iPhone they get out than this, that should make you have a serious reality check.… Expand

    It's my favorite game since 2014, but Sony blocked the Russian PS store and canceled my preorder of GTA5 for PS5. So Rockstar and Sony, you will never get my money (and all my friends) again. This is our collective response ban for you!

    "Expanded and Enhanced" really did mean something, but for Rockstar's pocket,because that didn't bring any relevant new features to the game that would make anyone buy this version. It could be totally free and still be a minimal upgrade. Total disrespect towards the community. **** you Take two

    GTA 5 expired and outdated. It isn't expanded as the title suggest, no new missions, no new story content. FPS is better and it looks a little less antique as the ps4 version. Not more than a simple cash grab

    I'm tired of the same ps3 title rehashed to now include magical flying death bikes that spam the world... this is like the 12th version of skyrim but full of children and people that only want to ruin your day

    Sorry, I played a game still it published on Xbox 360, but no I can't play it on my PlayStation 5 course I am Russian, it really a discrimination, rock star not a Tollirent and free politics.

    They gave us literally the same game that releases way back in 2013 for almost full price… rockstar is killing a dead horse for 3 console generations and seem to not care about the consumer. Terrible outdated with minimal “next-gen uodates”

    So tired of game companies ading mtx even after a decade really depressing to see I remember playing vice city as a kid just driving around shooting people listening to music all for just the price of the game.

    GTA V is at its best when leaning into the cinematic blockbusters that it takes inspiration from, while at its worst when trying to be controversial for the sake of it. Thankfully, its striking open world and variety of missions – most notably, Heists – help the Rockstar game hold up remarkably well in 2022.

    Without any content additions for those who have already explored every alley in Los Santos, this version of GTA V may not be enough for veterans, but it remains a true masterpiece in the new generation. It also supports 60 fps or the ultra-high definition in 4k, making it the best possible way to enjoy this great criminal journey.

    GTA V is a milestone in gaming -there's no doubt about that. If you are one of the few who haven't played it yet this is the best edition you could possibly get, but for everyone else there's really nothing here to justify even the low price point Rockstar is asking for.
