    The GTA Trilogy "Definitely Not Definitive Edition" is sad. Because if done correctly, this could have been one of the, if not the greatest Trilogy ever assembled in 1 package. Instead we got a busted, lacking attention to detail, and even the game directors mocking the critical reception as if we are crazy.

The greed on either Take-Twos side, or the music industry's (I believe both) is BS. Come to terms, get the music! The graphics are okay, albeit a little odd at times. The visual atmosphere is really missing in San Andreas. The performance is unstable, which is comical on PS5. Why can't we get a Native 4K, locked 60FPS on all 3 games.... which are Cell Phone Ports! Speaking of which.

    I'm enjoying it, cities look great and drivings cool, musics mostly there
    Yeah there's glitches...
    They distract and can be a pain
    But these are still great games
    Maybe I'm wearing rose tinted specs..

    a very weak game compared to the originals, the game has an instagram filter and a bad character model. I would say it's lazy, the game is pretty graphically but the graphics don't save this game from this disaster

    Made the mistake of buying this game on the switch and that's something I don't recommend anyone else does, at least until it gets some patches.     The value of definition trilogy is not for 69€ the real value is 10€

    It's sad, that this remasters did not carry many of the original's features. For example:

    Vice City: - no "Mission complete" music - menu sounds from GTA SA, and poorly implemented, like no sound on hover San Andreas: - only sprint ride on bicycle (I suppose it comes from mobile versions). Original game had a regular ride - Buff/Fat CJ run animations same as skinny. Original game    It's sad, that this remasters did not carry many of the original's features. For example:

    Honestly I really love How the Graphic is such Lightning and shadow And Grass , but unfortunately Some models are Bad And lot of bugs And bad optimization , Lag stuttering and stuff, and also I could say that this game Overprice , is this What we Got from $60 ?

    I purchased this game from the day it was released and it was a bloody mess then and not much has happened to improve it even with the recent patches.

    The rain in San Andreas at least is not fixed as they have claimed to fix it at least the plane gravity rain issue and it not showing in front of object like lakes or rocks.

    People still look like hideous monsters on the streets of every game and the AI is more stupid than I think the original games are.

    I grew up living and breathing the GTA series from GTA 1 on the gameboy to GTA V on the PS4 and this is the last game I will be giving money to as they are refusing refunds.

    CDPR, Square Enix, RockStar and EA Dice used to be great companies but they have all fallen at the wayside and are not the companies that now care about how they release games and what quality they are when they do so.

    Shame on you Rockstar……..

    This game only gets a 4 because under all the bugs and awful new graphics the original games are still good. The "definitive edition" is bad and you shouldn't play it, play the original games instead and you'll have a better time.

    So many bugs, the character models are atrocious, and worst of all, Rockstar has taken down the older versions of the game, forcing you to buy this version which is, for sure, awful.

Also one of the things why this remaster is bad, is the price, the price is dedicated for a full AAA game, but it's actually a remaster that could've been even done by a mods maker.     i hate this game. there are a lot of bugs, more than in cyberpunk. i think war drum studios or grove st games didn't try on their remaster. some of these bugs just crash your game!!! this project - spit to gta trilogy fans

There is some positive in the game like checkpoints, weapon wheel, draw distance, and GPS but that is the only change. The game looks cartoony compared to GTA IV and V, it looks like a mobile version of the game. The game's rain is giving me headaches. The gameplay is still the same to no change, you can't aim while drive bying, even 2006 Saints Row has that as this made me appreciate Saints Row more than GTA SA IMO that was just a cash grab for Rockstar.… Expand

If you bought the trilogy for 60 bucks like I did, expecting a Rockstar games quality game, you weren't just fooled, back stabbed and bamboozled, you were quite frankly ribbed off. And if you haven't bought it yet, just don't. These remasters are just lazy ports of mobile versions of the most beloved and influential games of the early 2000s, heck, probably ever.     Второе - медленные анимации, медденный отклик от игровых действий связанный с розовыми кругами во время миссии ( медленно начинается, медленно открывает сейф, очень большой отклик и ужасный)
    Третье - отвратительная и попобольная стрельба, текстуры нет, а я противника не простреливаю, один патрон противника сбривает по 20 хп, я хз было ли такое в оригинале
    Четвертое - нпси просто с ума сошли, неожиданно творят *****, просто так начинают въезжать в меня, таранить, пешеходы постоянно на дороге. В сан шайн аутос нпси спавнятся просто десятками в самом автосалоне их одновременно может быть около 30
    Пятое - что то определенно сделали с вождением, потому что в оригинале настолько часто я не переворачивался в машине, на мотоцикле то невозможно ездить, потому что после небольшого столкновения слетаешь сразу, то таранишь автобус и автобус отлетает, я хз как так. Огромный минус за миссии Филла Кесседи, изза бага с коробками, которые весят в воздухе как текстурка, миссию не удается пройти, благо это не влияет на последнюю миссию, так бы поставил 1. Ставлю 3 балла, за визуал и текстурки    … Expand

Some of the bugs are funny, but others ruin the experience. The game is playable, but it's definitely not the "definitive" edition of this game.     If you don't look too closely on visuals it will even seem not bad (but this doesn't include characters) . But the more you look the more problems with visuals you see: weird rain and water, some problems with lighting, no fog, some textures look super weird and there's a lot of problems with spelling on them for some reason, some things look unrealisticly shiny etc. Vehicles are nearlyIf you don't look too closely on visuals it will even seem not bad (but this doesn't include characters) . But the more you look the more problems with visuals you see: weird rain and water, some problems with lighting, no fog, some textures look super weird and there's a lot of problems with spelling on them for some reason, some things look unrealisticly shiny etc. Vehicles are nearly the same as in original. They only have new textures and wheels. For some reason they didn't even used better XBOX/Mobile models of them. And also vehicles lost some extras. Some guns (like AK) are badly modelled. And should i even say something about characters???
    Sound is completely untouched. Whis is inadmissible. In GTA 3 some sounds literally hurt the ears.
    Physics is like in original, but in some cases they even managed to mess it up.
    Technically the games is bad. Most of bugs ang glitches are stayed from the original, but now there's A TON of new ones (including visual bugs). The games is very poorly optimized.
    They also promised us better controls, but controls are barely changed.
    Oh, and the price is 60$!!! Defenitely doesn't worth it    … Expand

The game looked okay-ish on screenshots with even some very questionable design choices but still, revisiting these playgrounds in modern day made me excited. Until I played it, horrible frame drops, inconsistent resolution, bugs, if anything it’s destroyed theUtterly disappointed in this. May never play a Rockstar game again if they continue being the money hungry greedy corporation they’ve grown into. It used to be that video games were a labour of love, now they’re just cash grabs for money hungry CEOs. For a billion dollar company to not think about their fans is just sad really. It crashed on me too when I was on level 12 of the paramedic mission too. I was furious. I haven't even made it to VC or SA. 3 is so bad.     this game have a little bit advance example in the trilogy we have check point and navigation bar but from another see we have alot of bug and glitch rain is awful and side characters design is terrible we need a huge update from RockStar

    Other than an hour of nostalgia I had with the game, it truly was a pure disappointment. It's not a full remake and it's not a remaster, it's a new odd thing in between.

    Absolutely inexcusable performance on PS5, even in performance mode there is fps drops constantly! I did not expect this level of poorness from Rockstar! They need to fix it asap! Right now with the poor performance, terrible rain effects and ugly character models the game is unplayable!

    I've got the 3 platiniums. And there is one thing I can say for sure. Optimisation is bad, really bad. The games are freezing every 30 seconds. We are talking about Rockstar, it's a big disappointed for me coming from them. I loved it, but I don't recommended the games until they fix the framerate.

    This is a review from a 2000 kid. The definitive edition is good. The graphical improvements are spot on. BUT THEY NEED TO ADDRESS THE PEOPLE. The countless bugs and silence from rockstar are disheartening and a big middle finger to the fans who grew up with these games.

The rain effects are bad (granted I haven't seen some of the worst that has been floating around) but constant bugs and pop ins are killing me. When I'm driving around, each of the cars on the road pop in from about 4 feetBased off my time on GTA 3 and a little bit of Vice City, this is rough.     Auto save is a nice touch but that's about the only thing these games having going for them. Everything is worse apart from lighting, 60 fps and textures. Models are worse in every way and they somehow introduced more bugs. Game gets 2 points for quality of life.

    There has been very little work done here to bring the games up to a 2021 standard. Unfortunately in its launch state just doesn't play as fun or enjoyable. Played on Xbox Series X and it can just about run at 60fps in some places. There have been some amazing fan made mods that have come out and they really showed the potential for what the developer could have gone for.     GTA 3 is a complete disappointment and disaster. Do not bother playing it until they patch it. Vice City is a little bit better, but still has some bugs and glitches. Also really disappointed in the number of tracks that were removed from the original. San Andreas is at the very least playable and enjoyable of the 3.

    They managed to destroy three of the best games ever created for the sake of the money and shareholders satisfaction. The trilogy comes with bugs that didn't exist on the original games and the enhanced textures and light doesn't come close to worth 60 bucks.

    From the Definitive Edition of the iconic GTA titles emerged a technically unfinished remaster, which remained halfway. The content is and will always remain timeless, but the way to get to it and to enjoy it is simply not good.

    A textbook example of how not to remaster games from the PlayStation 2 era, these defective "definitive" releases are just desecration of three classic titles that deserve much better treatment.
