Nov 5, 2022This game is fantastic. I don't know what arkane7 is smoking but maybe he shouldn't review games because he doesn't know what he's talking about. Ghost Song is a good game with an awesome atmosphere accompanied by a stellar soundtrack, great graphics and an intriguing story. The enemies are well designed and varied. It's a great title to add to your metroidvania collection.

Nov 5, 2022Decent take on the 2D metroidvania genre. Unfortunately, very low production values and poor writing let the game down. The main character as well isn't great to play. They could have done so much better with this title. The visuals are decent and so is the sound but this might be one for the bargain bin.

A "small" metroivania who has 100x more storytelling and heart than 120h of Elden Ring & Co..
Only for the players who like to explore the lore and open to an amazing storytelling
My biggest surprise since Returnal !! Thank you Devs !! -

Pro: the art style is really neat looking
Con: No tutorial at the beginning
Pro: well optimized and smooth experience
Con: enemies are bullet sponges
Pro: simple gameplay that anyone can play
Con: lack of communication on what is the player suppose to do to progress.

Aug 11, 2023Ghost Song is a decent Metroidvania that avoids feeling derivative thanks to some great world-building and engaging risk Vs reward combat systems. While its Soulslike elements can make the game feel punishing for the sake of it at times, this is somewhat alleviated by the explorer mode that makes it play more like a challenging but traditional Metroidvania.

Nov 10, 2022Ghost Song does some things quite well but as a complete package, it remains a tedious and patience-testing experience. With so many Metroidvanias out there, it's probably a good idea to look elsewhere for some exploration-based action.

Nov 1, 2022Ghost Song isn't a bad experience, but one that shows glimmers of excellence without fully realizing it. With so many metroidvania titles on the market today and with more polished experiences, it's hard to recommend Ghost Song.
