    Absolutely fantastic game, but seem a bit slow in the beginning, however the world and the potential opens up after a few hours of playing. If you enjoy magic, battles and open world games - this one is definitely for you, very unique and totally worth the money.

    Would not trust the reviews as most people have not actually played the game, just demo.

    I like the story much, a lot of spells, good graphics.
    The thing is not so well an open world after ending the story mode, but every game got the same.

    Surprisingly enjoyed this game. The voice acting is cringe but gameplay is surprisingly good considering how poorly the game was received.

    This game was FANTASTIC!!! I know it received a lot of hate when it first came out which is why I waited until the price dropped to $30 to grab it. And grabbing at $30 was a STEAL. This game was fun. It has a solid story, the gameplay is solid, the combat was really fun & fast paced. However I have my issues. My two biggest issues were, #1All of the side quests were basically same. AtThis game was FANTASTIC!!! I know it received a lot of hate when it first came out which is why I waited until the price dropped to $30 to grab it. And grabbing at $30 was a STEAL. This game was fun. It has a solid story, the gameplay is solid, the combat was really fun & fast paced. However I have my issues. My two biggest issues were, #1All of the side quests were basically same. At first they felt fun to do, but after hours and hours of doing the same thing, it got boring. Which pushed me towards focusing more on the main story line rather than exploring Athia. And #2 while how the game has you traverse Athia is fun and different from other games, it felt extremely weird and clunky at times. Climbing was also annoying as everything wasn’t climbable without certain skills, or abilities. Overall I give this game 8.5/10. It was fun to play paired with a good story, and was bought at a great value. I definitely hope they come out with a Forspoken 2!… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. While the game is not perfect, post updates it runs well on ps5, the gameplay is rly solid and fun. The story is a little wacky, but plays on the fish out of water aka isekai formula pretty well. I enjoy the banter, unfortunately, it does repeat at times. I think the game had really high expectations that of course it was not going to live up to. I enjoy the combat, I do enjoy the banter, mostly because I love the style it is going for. I also don't get why people say “people don't talk like this” when these are not people from Earth, but I can't use normal speech patterns and idioms from a society that does not use them. All in all I enjoy the game and wish it did well or better than it did because I think it is leagues better, at least post patch, than people believe it to be.… Expand

    Ignore the negative reviews. Solid game, great graphics, decent story, fun and engaging combat. The dialogue isn't as bad as it initially sounded. Play this fun game!

The story is well written with twist and turns.     The game is not perfect, but I am enjoining it a lot, the story, the graphics, the action.
    I see people complain about a empty world, but the story explains it, only the city has the humans that survived, so what is outside are like zombies or mutated animals, dragons, etc that are corrupted.
    About the camera during battle just turn on the options that fix the camera on the targets and    The game is not perfect, but I am enjoining it a lot, the story, the graphics, the action.

    I actually liked the voice of the cuffs and the conversation, it makes the game more alive

    The ambient music is great, I dont like when a game lets you hear just silece and fx sounds, the music helps keeps the tension

    The default configurations are a little dark so I just increase a little of the brighness and or gama and it is more clear

    the graphics are great, I dont feel like they are outdated like some say, some things and areas needed to be more polished

    but overall it is fun to play, enteresting imersive comovent story if you pay attention and read the items

    it is a action RPG game so it has RPG elements like story conversations lore etc...    … Expand

But I can't comprehend on how a game that shows " glimpse at the potentially genre-defying" or a game that "is on the precipice of something great" is rated 7 or worse. I think this is exactly what an 8 out of 10 needs to have. A game that is really close to greatness but somehow miss it. And this is Forspoken in a nutshell. Is really mindblowing that weThe reviews are kinda on point.     I am surprised at the hate this game got, as I thoroughly enjoyed it. While Frey may not be the most likeable character and story feels a little forced, it’s good and enjoyable, full for turns and twists.

    Combat mechanic is great, very satisfying and rich, while not overwhelming, which I found was the case with the demo.

    Traversal is fantastic, world gorgeous and vast. Definitely recommend it.

    This game it's a solid pretty fun game. And gets a lot better when you unlock more types of magic.
    The fast pace, the magic, the movement and the combat its pretty fun.
    No parry option so you can rely on movement to avoid attacks. The secondary missions can be a little bland especially in the city but the open world activities are better.     An amazing story and graphics that drive the series forward in a amazing way. The Side Quests are a step forward for RPG games by immersing you into the lore of the world.

    This game is very fun to play. The traversal and fighjt mechanics are awesome. It's a fast paced game with beautiful graphis. The only thing to complain about are the cutscenes fading to black in a janky way every now and then.

    After about the first 4 hours, the gave finally comes into its own, and for the next 26 I had done it the best times of my life playing this. Unfortunately some things in the first 4 hours really are unbearable.
    However, overall, I do recommend this game

    Forspoken is a really pretty game i loved the visuals and art direction of the game the story is not the best in the buisness and the game mechanics are pretty sticky but once you open up new abilities i like the gameplay i feel its hard to play defensive in Forspoken but its definitely not ad bad as the reviews

    I remember being really hyped for this and then it came out and I had to so much other stuff to play I didn't pick it up on release. Then I saw all of the negative feedback and backlash and thought, wow it can't possibly be this bad. I watched a lot of reviews and gameplay videos to see why it is so bad and while most complaints seemed reasonable, I didn't think it deserved to be calledI remember being really hyped for this and then it came out and I had to so much other stuff to play I didn't pick it up on release. I watched a lot of reviews and gameplay videos to see why it is so bad and while most complaints seemed reasonable, I didn't think it deserved to be called one of the worst games ever or even from this year. The negative reviews also didn't really affect me wanting to play it, so I eventually did pick it up.

    What can I say, I really really likes this game. I do agree with a lot of the criticism, but most of it was just way too exaggerated. Clear review bombing by people who maybe played 2 minutes of the game or just watched all the clickbait reviews on youtube makes this game look way worse than it is. The dialogue is fine, it has a few cringe moments here and there, but not in a way that makes you want to cry. I even laughed at some of it and found joy in the character interactions.

    The gameplay is what makes this game though. Beautiful to look at and insanely fluid magic, I have not experienced a game with better magic. The story has the right length and is good, but not amazing. I like some of the characters a lot and didn't care for others at all. The world is a little bland but you need the wide open fields to really make use of that amazing movement. Just as with the magic, I do not know a game with better traversal abilities. So smooth, so fast, so much fun.

    Overall this game is much better than I expected and I really enjoyed it a lot. People should give it a chance, especially when you have the chance to get it on sale.    … Expand

I picked it up for 45 bucks and needed to see if it deserved all the bad press and reviews it got. And guess what.......NOT AT ALL!!! This game has its flaws, like other games, but overall it is a kick ass game!!! The game has all the patches and updates fromMy plan worked.......     Giving a 10 so it might have a bigger score than redfall. The game is mid and not worthy 60$ BUT, still playable and is possible to have fun. (I know a lot o ppl says the cringe dialogue kills the game and i agree, but try to put the game áudio in JP or idk and problem solved

    Tyler Outland-I got Forspoken day 1 at the Gamestop I shop at ps5 disk version. I absolutely loved the story and how the relationship between Frey and Cuff progressed before he became a awesome menacing villain. I also really liked how each Tanta affected Frey in different aspects. And I loved seeing Freys mom at the end. Also I liked the different magic upgrades and the different tombs with the difficult bosses. The graphics music and world of Athia was beautiful for me to explore I absolutely loved Forspoken my only complaint was some of the puzzles were not good and there weren't many side quests. I give Forspoken a 9/10 and I really want a sequel in the future.… Expand

    After playing the early access dlc, this game has taken a 180 degree turn. Improved textures, more parkour abilities, the interaction between Frey and her cuff is more natural. It feels like a new game. The dlc is short, around 4-5 hours. However, that twist at the end? SWEET!!!. A nice send-off for the main game.     I can understand all the hate on this game, because the main downside, in my opinion, is the storytelling. The protagonist swears a lot, always complaining about the same things throughout the whole game. The dialogues are really bad. However, the game combat is AMAZING, and the parkour system is one of a kind. I really love all the effects and the magic system. There 2 separate arguments, one about criticism its self and second about interests of critics.     What exactly is missing in the forspoken, which the elders of this genere have ? Go check final fantasy, final fantasy 7 remake was a mess, with that homosexual task and town. Pardon me, but I'm so angry about these propagandas.
    I swear, not because I've paid 64 bucks for, or because I like it, I'm a 36 years old gamer and have my experiences, forspoken is a good game, with a great potential story . I haven't mentioned it's walk-through and graphics and world, because even worst reviews about forspoken have admitted its graphics and Ambient and inviroment are wonderful, their only problem is the short story and the missions of the game and the characters, which is not acceptable at all with the positive points of the game and the fact that it is the first work of a game studio.    … Expand

Gráficamente es muy notable (en ocasiones excelente), jugablemente también, libertad total con una de las mejores movilidades que existen, diferentes estilos de combate y un centenar de hechizos, buen diseño de personajes, gran ambientación y una trama interesante a través de los mismos.

    Si el juego te llama por lo que sea, no hagas caso ni a medios ni a tontubers y hazte con él. No podrás parar de volar por el mapa explorándolo. Este juego es cojonudo, digan las mierdas que digan de él.    … Expand

    Forspoken has plenty of other glaring issues like its occasionally janky platforming that results in Frey falling off buildings or its less than memorable soundtrack. It also has a number of additional points to praise like the scale of its cities and the cast of cute cat chimeras that Frey can lay down and cuddle with. This duality of fantastic ideas with less-than-stellar execution places Forspoken in a place where very few games end up — smack dab in the middle. It’s not so bad that it should be burned by fire, but not nearly good enough to make anyone’s game of the year list.

    Forspoken feels like an interesting blend of gameplay elements from Square Enix projects past and present, but we're not certain it all comes together. A middling story and combat make its fun parkour harder to bear.

    World exploration in Forspoken can bring you some real joy, and same could be said about the combat system. And yet the writing, weird visual presentation, and overall direction can really bring the whole experience down.
