Gameplay was flawless, i was able to finish it without problems, there weren’t any problems in key moments, there was only one bug discovered (that’s why i couldn’t give it a 10). I suggest making additional saves. The game is very visually beautiful,

The game is very visually beautiful, characters were interesting. I haven’t played any previous entries of FNAF and yet the characters where memorable and one of them became my friend at the end.

There is a lot of discovering and only little information given. If you are used to games that point you every direction you might dislike this game as you have to uncover everything yourself.

There were interesting and hard quests that gave a sense of fulfilment at the end of completing them.

Game has multiple endings, and each is good in its own way.

I recommend this game, especially if you like playing in dark evenings. Also this game is great if you have a backseat companion watching the game with you.

Despite some bugs and confusing moments, security breach delivers a solid game worth its price. The story is filled with action and puzzles. Negatives would be the lack of polish and scares, but you can tell the developers worked hard on this title. Personally I'm a bigger fan of help wanted, but this was a beyond solid experience for me.

I have wanted FNAF to be like this game ever since the very first FNAF came out, being able to move around, explore, and use gadgets. I know some people say there are some bugs on PS4 or PC and that it doesn’t run well, but a whole week later and the developers have pumped out three patches and fixed many bugs already. Please get this game and support a new, and better era of FNAF for future games to be like this too. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Where to start?

Well first off, I'd certainly recommend maybe sticking to actual critic reviews for most games in the FNAF Franchise. As this fandom is notorious for its loyalty to Scott and the Games. This can be seen by reviews which gives "10s!" to the game but nothing in this game suggests so. I mean this fandom gave FNAF world overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam. A RPG so shallow and derived from anything good that Scott himself on 2 occasions has admitted to it being so. Yeah, but the FNAF Fandom didn't care, it's got scary bear on it so 10/10.

Now I am a fan of the games, big part of my childhood. And Steelwools last game was good, even, great! But this one has no identity, no uniqueness and it's incredibly rushed.

Firstly the gameplay. It has no identity. It has nothing that tells me "This is a FNAF game!" in the gameplay. It's any old cookie cutter horror game but with a coat of FNAF paint. Literally you could replace these characters, and the FNAF branding and nothing would suggest this is even FNAF. Most of the gameplay is run away from robot whilst grabbing something. Nothing unique. In terms if uniqueness, barely any of the robots are unique. For 90 percent of the game, they are the same robots except they are just different models. Only until you take parts do any of them have uniqueness about them however only Roxane the Wolf really has some as she's "blind". You might say, the cameras! Or the... Map? The cameras are so useless I never found myself using them. Mostly due to how big the place is that tracking these monsters would be irrelevant anyway. The cameras could be removed for 99 percent of the game it would be just the same. I saw this with YouTuber Dawko aswell as mine. So the cameras have barely any use to the flow of the game due to the scale of the map itself. Then you have a awful map which Dawko himself commented on being not that good either. Note: Dawko seems to like the game just using something's he didn't use that much or like.

So the gameplay for the most part is shallow. Only the Weeping Endo part had me on edge and had me scared, but this experience was available with the Gmod FNAF Pack so it isn't ground breaking.

Speaking on the scare factor it wasnt scary either. Seeing these robots move around removes any of the fear factor, you know they are just incredibly high tech robots that can run, any supernatural atmosphere is removed from the previous games. So instead of having the uncanny valley feel with the creepy old animatronics you are running from robots as at this point they don't resemble animatronics.

Speaking on the designs, there isn't any creepy factor to them. They look too cute. The Toys in FNAF 2 atleast had a creepy look to them. Freddy's black out eyes and creepy dead stare, Bonnie's dead eyes peering right into the camera and atleast Scott recognized Toy Chica wasn't scary so removed her beak. Now they are just cute looking robots....

    Honestly, it's just very disappointing.

Now to some of the major story beats:

First of all Vanny. Vanny is hyped up as the new Afton, new Villian but she BARELY appears in game. She has barely any on screen development, barely any cool moments. She is just barely in it. And it's strange as she was a key focus on marketing. Then the game ruins the end of FNAF 6. Afton didn't die and Ennard didn't either...they survived? In cryo pods? So the FNAF 6 ending which was perfect to tie loose ends is now ruined, odd choice. I mean the cutscene was cool but in terms of logic it has 0. And the Animatronics also are down here? Spares? Well no they are also withered? So there is 0 explanation.

So the story is poor, the true ending is rushed and the games mechanics are bland and not unique which is a insult to why FNAF was popular. FNAF was popular because it was against the norm, it was unique for it's time back in 2014 but now, this game Secruity Breach? Back tracks on that. It's a standard horror game with barely a thread of uniqueness. Now let's talk about Graphics. Amazing! Yeah something positive. The Pizza Plex has no much love and detail planted into it. I'll give the game that. The graphics and design for such a small team is sublime. So props for that.

Overall seeing FNAF fans they will eat up especially ones who just watch it, they don't care about the quality and just want more FNAF so yeah. But if you are a horror fan or a FNAF fan who cares about quality pass on this. Or get it on sale. It's like a 4/10. Maybe 3/10. Eh.

From security key card level 2 to 6 I ran into a sequence break, unknowingly jumped a barrier, got an ending that didn't make sense contextually and credits rolled. Reloaded for a while until giving up on trying to fix the sequence break (missions were no longer completing, companion AI not responding.) I started a new save, almost having to go out of my way to avoid sequence breaking but noticed AI were acting more aggressively then in previous playthrough, it became more challenging. Upon reaching a boss that requires interacting with stationary cannons, the game continuously freezes without warning. Reinstall does not fix this issue. I have put the game down until patching. I'm sad. TL:DR:The reports of PC version being unoptimized mirrors Playstation 5 at launch, even showing a mouse cursor before the main menu loads. It is too easy to break, making it possibly unable to finish. Waiting for a patch. Saddened. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach (or as others call it (FNAFSB) is a game a lot of people were hyped for, did it deliver the hype? Not so much.

FNAFSB released on December 16th 2021 and it contained a lot of bugs, it felt rushed, though the game definitely delivered with the graphics, everywhere you go is super beautiful in it’s habitat that ur just awe’ing in surprised of how beautiful the habitat is.

Though it contained LOTS of bugs, one bug where you jump over a fence to time travel leaving you confused, another where you get soft locked, etc, yes the company (Steel Wool) had patched some of these bugs, yet it definitely still felt rushed, The frame rate was…. Horrendous, even if you had a good PC, it would just not run correctly. Though some parts of the game were pretty awesome, the Sun/Moon part (where you have to get the security badge, ending up in monstrosity) had definitely caught my attention as the voice acting, the tension of nightmare fuel implementation was great, though I wish the game did this more, half of the game is basically a fetch quest.

Let’s talk about the characters, Roxy, Monty, Chica and Freddy give the atmosphere some tension at-least, though Vanny (Basically the new William Afton) barely did, she never had enough screen time and it disappointed me, she was the one who was supposed to hunt you down, though end up not having enough screen time, it’s really disappointing.

Let’s talk about the endings, the endings does not live up to the hype, there is barely no CONTEXT to what happens and ur just sitting there confused, yes it was an interesting way to put the endings in a comic book way on paper, but in execution? Not so much.

Let’s talk about the pricing of FNAFSB, 40$ for a game where it is buggy and felt definitely rushed, I don’t really recommend buying this for 40$, though if it’s for sale, why not buy it yourself?

    CONCLUSION

Overall, FNAFSB is okay, the graphics are beautiful, the game itself…. It’s eh, lots of bugs on release and felt rushed.

    I would give it a 5/10.

This game is awful. PS2 games look better than this. Graphics are bland and bad, levels are boring and tedious, missions are mostly just dumb fetch quests, the AI is stupid, story is boring, characters are bland and annoying and the game is not scary at all. Creating a huge 5-level mall with enormous locations was a difficult task and they made it perfectly. Locations are filled with Easter eggs, lore, tiny details and love. They loved SB as their child, and it is noticeable. Game world is stunning. Character design is absolutely great as well. All animatronics, all their in-game transitions, screamers - everything looks glamorous! Memes. Surprisingly, but memes were there as well. A tons of moments made me laugh: Mr. Hippo magnet, Map bots, DJ music man jamming etc. Plot. Game lore is deep and it’s essential for you to know at least more than basics of FNAF universe. This game continues Vanny plot line, and brings it to its conclusion. Story is a true mystery: Why is Gregory here? Why is Freddy friendly? Why Vanny is evil? Game keeps us interested at all times. But, sadly, there are some bad aspects as well. First - missions. All of them are quite similar with “Go and bring” mechanics. It’s not that bad, because meanwhile you explore that beautiful Pizzaplex, but still not very cool. Second - not a lot of different mechanics. That would have been great if you were able to play more arcades, drive a cart in the raceway or play golf at the Golf Court, but you are not. To sum up, the game is definitely a huge step forward for the Franchise itself and SteelWool especially. I had a great time playing it and I would recommend you experience it yourself, especially if you are a fan. The game has its issues, but it’s not 0/10. Solid 8.

However, the people giving this game 10/10s have clearly not played it to completion. First of all, you can't. On PS5, it is currently impossible to get the good ending. Princess Quest is utterly unplayable. In order to even start it, you have to plug in a keyboard, and then the action button doesn't even work. Next criticism, the animatronic's AI. Wow they are incredible dumb. After the beginning of the game it is WAYYY too easy to juke around them or to literally hide right in front of them and they immediately forget where you are and leave. Alright, onto the biggest issue with the game on PS5. The bugs and glitches. It's bad. Really bad. I already mentioned the fact that you can't even 100% the game, however there is a lot more than that. Here is a brief list; 1.) Using the generator for the compactor before the pizza making mini game allows you to duplicate chica. 2.) Sometimes when you get jumpscared, the animatronic just disappears with the sound still playing. 3.) You can only skip a few cutscenes, not the credits. 4.) You can die during the credits if you try to skip them. 5.) The music for Monty's golf mini game isn't looped properly. 6.) If you wait on the title screen, the background disappears. These aren't all the bugs, but they are the worst ones I experience in my playthrough. It makes me so mad because I enjoy so much about this game, but it feels like SteelWool never even playtested the console port to make sure completion was at least possible. Thanks for reading. If bugs are fixed, I will ABSOLUTELY increase my rating. Expand

I really love exploring the facility and finding new easter eggs to past games, and some of the scares are genuinely scary. However, the game is riddled with bugs... most are just stupid stuff that only messes with looks, but there is enough game breaking, soft locking bugs that I've had to put the game down twice because I could not progress. After a patch on the 18th I got past the first one, just to be met with another one a few hours later. Also, the enemy A.I. is laughable at best. You can easily get away with running around carelessly without even being spotted by an animatronic or security bot. Also, the story so far is pretty bare bones which is disappointing considering how much the trailers made it seem like it was going to have a pretty decent story. It could all be at the end, which is still not good, but I guess better than not having anything. Overall, I do like this game, but the bugs are making me hate it. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. FNAF: SB is completely different from the normal series. You play as a child named Gregory, and are able to free-roam the Pizzaplex freely. However, there are a lot of restricted spaces that you can only get to later on in the game. Unfortunately, although the Pizzaplex is huge, there's a lot of clutter surrounding the areas you can visit, or some that are closed off completely restricting a lot of exploring. As Gregory, you are on a mission, along with Glamrock Freddy, to survive until 6am. There is only one night here and time only moves as you progress. With Freddy, you can climb inside him to freely walk around without attracting any of the other three animatronics. However, his battery dies rather quickly and when it does he kills you instantly. Visually, everything looks pretty. That's about as good as I can say for the game. The lore is all scattered around. An antagonist, Vanny, is a female rabbit that appears to be a major threat. However, her actually appearing is really rare. Vanessa, another antagonist and night shift security guard, also gets her role downplayed to just being mad that you're there after hours. In previous trailers, those two were meant to play a huge role in the game. In the released version, they play it very minimal. I myself have seen Vanessa once, and Vanny twice. The three other roaming animatronics (Roxy, Chica, and Monty) continue to roam the facility in random spots. There are missions to destroy them, however after you destroy them, they continue to roam. They're just broken and have a small handicap to make them easier to avoid. As you progress, you gain a flash light and then can choose either a toy blaster gun or a camera. Those two stun the animatronics (aside from Monty due to his sunglasses and later on Roxy due to missing eyes). There are also a lot of security bots roaming the place. If they catch you, they alert the other animatronics.
Now let's get to the really bad parts. The game is FLOODED with bugs and massive frame rate drops, even on the PS5.
    These include:
-Animatronics not spawning where they are supposed to
-Frame drops when sprinting and when approaching main stage
-A mission that involves flipping three switches for power, sometimes the switches just refuse to turn on
-Animatronics that chase you will sometimes get stuck, sometimes standing there without moving which can be a problem as they'll sometimes just stand in front of your hiding spot refusing to move
-Freddy getting stuck in places and being unable to help you
-the video cameras you use to check your surroundings are rather slow and sometimes freeze

It's a mediocre game, with a lot of bugs and a lot of weird lore all over. There's more to the game, but they're pretty insignificant to put here such as useless collectables. There are 6 endings to the game, but if you choose to go through with any of the good ones you are stuck with 0 save points as they are all deactivated.

As a huge FNAF fan, I was pretty disappointed. It's not a difficult game, nor is it lore friendly. A lot of characters see minimum screen time. Gregory is just a rather bland and sometimes annoying protagonist. I would wait for it to be at least a 20 dollar game, as it is not worth it at it's price currently.

The Pizza Plex feels way too big and i feel it suffers from that, and it’s only as big as it is for the sake of being big, especially since some of the bigger rooms are near empty. I can appreciate and see the passion and care Steel Wool put into Security Breach, but they’re a small team and are not capable of making a game of this scope in just two years. There’s a reason game development from even some of the biggest studios takes 3-4 years and sometimes longer. Now onto my biggest complaint, the game really could do with more checkpoints(especially when you can’t save or a save point isn’t close by) a good example is the endo area where they move when you’re not looking at them, it took me 3 hours to get past that part and i had to restart from the very beginning of the area every single time i got jumpscared. Checkpoints would be great for longer areas where you have to start from the very beginning if caught. Vanny was also supposed to be this pursuer of the game, and i only saw her two or three times and she’s easy to escape from and loose her. That being said, i would have delayed this game to scale parts of the game back so it’s within the limits of what a team the Size of Steel Wool can make. Like the size of the Pizza Plex, Vanny could and should have been of a threat showing up more often at random spots and make it so you could run into her while she was wandering around looking for you with a knife(like she was pictured with in teasers) and have it so she chases you and not just skip. She didn’t feel like a threat because i could easily outrun her the two times i saw her Expand

Lots of fun stealth elements and ideas at play. There are lots of endings, mini-games, and different paths making this game replayable for hours beside the main stealth and boss areas. This is one of my favorite horror games, but the bugs and performance issues at launch drag it down.

I’M WATCHING THE PEOPLE WHO CREATED THE GAME SCROLL ON BY AND THEN I DIE AND IT MAKES ME CLICK RETRY, SPAWNS ME BACK IN THE GAME, AND MAKES ME START THE ENDING OVER AGAIN. Even on PS5 the frame rate suffers. Not as bad as PS4, but still has its moments. It’s playable, but it’s annoying.
I’m giving it a 4 because the game has its moments. Several stages I enjoyed were the Daycare, the DJ room, and the entire opening. Other than that enjoy just mindlessly walking around wondering what to do next, as well as collecting random trinkets and collectors items. Every now and then you’ll stumble upon an upgrade for something like your flashlight, but it seems so thrown to the sidelines.
As I mentioned early, yes the art style, voice acting, and setting are all wonderful. The entire art team did a wonderful job, but that doesn’t save this game. The visuals did not distract me from the game breaking and falling apart around me. During the Day 1 release I visited the Reddit page to see if anyone else were experiencing bugs. And I was shocked to see that when people were expressing their experiences with bugs, game breaking glitches, and that honestly they wished they would’ve held off on the game, they were bombarded with downvotes. From my point of view there is a lot of denial happening right now in the fan base. People are latching on to what’s good and trying to pass it off as a 7/10 game. I’m sorry but it’s just not. I love the previous games, and I’m sorry if the development period had some bumpy moments, but that doesn’t automatically give a game a handicap for a hiring rating. If you’re a diehard FNAF fan then I guess I would recommend, but do know that the FNAF charm alone cannot and never will save this game.

Honestly, I expected more from this game, it has a lack of horror and tense, I really missed the tense moments of the game, and at the same time, what they have done with this game, it's amazing..like, bro, you spend 70% of game time walking around looking for your goal. and even more the very poorly used characters, like, the guys filled the game with staff bots and the vanny, who was supposed to be the game's antagonist, had minimal importance, and even more so william afton, who showed up and died, like. .what did they do with the game? Another thing that needs to be said is about the false promise of the game, as in the first trailer of the game having presented as much suspense as possible, but in reality, none of that happened, really disappointing...so much hype, for nothing.

Resume: This game is for Fnaf fans that loves everything that they made in the game, if you're a fanatic fan of fnaf, buy this game, otherwise, stay away.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So I will start by saying I was really excited for this game when I first saw trailers, I had had good experiences with the five nights at Freddy’s series in the past and was excited to see what direction they took this game. Safe to say I was pretty disappointed but I still had my fun with it.
I’ll start with the graphics. I think this games graphics are gorgeous and the whole art style and theme was candy for they eyes the whole way through, everything is very colorful and shiny and nice to look it and I liked the way the game looked.
The gameplay was pretty hit or miss but sneaking past animatronics and figuring out how to move through the environment without getting caught could be fun at times, but the AI needs some work for sure. Enemies were constantly getting stuck on things and the way they moved around was awkward most of the time.
As far as story goes I think it started off strong but oh boy did it get worse and worse as the game progressed. The start had me intrigued and the motivation of needing to escape the pizzaplex seemed like it would be an enjoyable ride but oh boy was it messy. There was a huge lack of cutscenes and story beats in this game. Half the time the characters barely reacted to things that happened and when they did it was very underwhelming. Like huge story beats would happen and the characters would barely react so at the very least more voice lines could’ve made that better. And the lack of cutscenes really sucked cause there was potential for so many cool cutscenes or anything like that and there were barely any. Also this game having multiple ending felt wrong to me, it felt like the game didn’t really have one set ending and so after the game was over I felt like I needed more closure and even within like six endings I don’t feel like the game was wrapped up well at all.
And finally the characters, I did like a lot of the characters in this game. I thought all of the main animatronics were well designed and they each had a distinct personality and their voice lines were legitimately creepy sometimes. And Freddy being a guide for the player was really nice and I actually got pretty attached to his character, I definitely liked him more than the main kid. Speaking of the main kid I honestly found him very annoying and idiotic most of the time. It didn’t help that he also barely reacted to anything that happened to him even though this experience would be traumatizing for any child. He seemed like he barely cared and was more annoyed than scared the whole time. And now oh boy, last but definitely least we have Vanny, the killer rabbit lady. When the trailers first came out and this character was revealed I was so hyped to see where they would take it. She seemed creepy and the potential for her to be a looming presence throughout the game that you needed to constantly deal with and avoid seemed promising and she was one of the main reasons I was excited for the game, but oh my lord she was easily the biggest disappointment out of the ENTIRE GAME. She BARELY shows up in this game at all and the like three times she does she is the most easily avoidable least scary character ever. She had so much potential to be a creepy cool villain that constantly pursued you but she was CRIMINALLY underused and I was baffled she didn’t show up more. That was honeslty one of the biggest reasons this game disappointed me and Vanny will forever be one of the biggest missed opportunities in gaming history for me.
So overall this isn’t a bad game, but it seems sort of like a glitchy unfinished mess that has an undercooked story and especially undercooked characters. I honestly had high expectations given the game was delayed a few months from its initial release date but it was kind of a disappointment. It was fun here and there and a few sections of the game were actually pretty creepy and tense at times but honeslty I don’t even think I could recommend this game to anyone as sad as it is for me to say it. So yeah, disappointment, missed opportunity, but snippets of good ideas and concepts hide under a buggy undercooked mess.

As much hate as this game gets, I don't think it's as bad as people say. But sadly it is the definition of good concept, bad execution. I'm quite bittersweet about this game. Sometimes I really enjoyed it, and sometimes I was very disappointed.
    Pros:
    - Freddy as a companion was an excellent design choice, I was actually concerned about the character's fate during the game
    - The PizzaPlex is extremely big and detailed
    - The voice acting of the characters were really great, the actors did an excellent job to outline the personality of the characters
    - The cutscenes and the animations were never this good for a FNAF game

    And now the cons sadly:
    - The game is quite buggy, you can easily break it by just playing casually, the pathfinding AI is also not the greatest, the animatronics usually just teleport abruptly to player, which feels very unnatural
    - Texture seams clearly visible in certain areas
    - The mission objectives are never clear, I had to use walkthroughs at least 5 times, the player's are hardly guided about the stuff they need to do (addendum: they tried to convey the goal clearer in recent patches, but its not enough)
    - Vanny hardly appears in the game, yet she is the main antagonist
    - DualSense features broken, not working, yet clearly stated in the store page

This game has so much potenial, but even after patches there are several issues with the game. It's not a bad entry in the FNAF franchise, but has it flaws, and the player has to learn to live with them.
(I originally gave 6 points to game, but patches improved the experience a bit, and I increased my score to 7.)

It really needed another year or two in the oven. The story is pretty disappointing with almost no explanation as to what happened throughout the story. The main villain has almost no screen time and the final boss is very disappointing. Although there are many negatives to this game I can't really call it a bad game. I had a good time exploring the pizzaplex and going through its various areas. The pizzaplex itself is one of the best parts about the game. It is such a cool place to explore and look at. The music is also good. I will rescore this game once more updates for the game come out. Expand

Security Breach does a great job of continuing the FNAF legacy while also paying homage to the previous nine FNAF games. You can tell that the developers really put everything they could into this game. There are even some fun mini-games including a very good mini golf game. However, this game is not without its flaws. The game has already received one patch and more are on the way. I’m hopeful more patches will come to reduce the number of glitches – and maybe even tone some overly challenging sections down and add a few more much-needed checkpoints. The visuals are outstanding and the audio is brilliant. This is easily the best FNAF game and hopefully, the direction they choose to make future FNAF games.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach is not a game that revolutionizes survival horror. By taking up the codes of the genre without particularly original ideas, the title is intended above all for fans of the franchise who wish to learn more and more about this horrific universe filled with animatronics and secrets. Unfortunately, the many bugs, the technical issues, the lack of finish and the rather too visible tricks used by the developers to scare people make the experience difficult for others. It is nonetheless a classic horror game with some interesting sequences that will be able to please survival-horror lovers who lack titles to be consumed.
