    Great graphics! With that said the game felt rushed and wasn't polished. The series hasn't evolved much since FC3, which in my opinion was the best game of the series. Perhaps my expectations were too high but I was disappointed in particular with the character models.     A splash of RDR, a splash of Crysis and there you have it...nothing more/nothing less and failed to move the needle forward. I'll give this a generous 6 out of 10. Ubisoft went soft and missed a golden opportunity.    … Expand

    Ok, let me show my points. I really understand why people hate this game, but why it is that much? Farcry 6 isn't a bad game. By the way, it's really good and get me addicted for hours and hours. The gameplay is simple and basically the same of other games in franchise. The graphic is good, even in the old generation they have a glimpse. The AI lacks of intelligence, which is horrible in a game like farcry, and sometimes it gets annoying. The activities in the game are several, but simple. My conclusion: the game is good, it can entertain for a long time if you like farcry. It's not the best of the franchise, but the ambience in my opinion is. It worth to play.… Expand

    a fun game, with amazing visuals but comparing the previous Far Cry's it lacks a lot in different areas, but still if you're not looking for story this is a fun game.

    I will start with the major issue I have with the game, the gear system. The gear system is very restrictive as it now links abilities to certain clothing items, for example to stealth kill an enemy and follow up by pulling the pin on their grenade before kicking them towards others is now locked into a pair of gloves where as in previous Far cry titles this perk was unlocked permanentlyI will start with the major issue I have with the game, the gear system. The gear system is very restrictive as it now links abilities to certain clothing items, for example to stealth kill an enemy and follow up by pulling the pin on their grenade before kicking them towards others is now locked into a pair of gloves where as in previous Far cry titles this perk was unlocked permanently once you earned it. Switching out your gloves for another pair you will then lose the ability to carry this out and this goes across all of the abilities that could just be used as normal in previous games which really restricts what you can do at one time, like drawing the enemies sidearm after a stealth execution to immediately take out another nearby enemy, in the previous games you can decide to either pull the grande pin or draw the side arm in then moment but now it depends on what gloves you’re wearing.

    This limitation applies to all aspects of abilities from previous games like reload speeds, running speeds, defence against fire, airborn takedowns, chain stealth executions and so much more.

    Ammo types as well, this also greatly restricts your ability to take out certain enemy types. If you’re using armour piercing ammo against enemies not wearing armour they will take 20+ bullets just to take them out which just ruins the flow of combat.

    These issues are arising across all of ubisofts games as they seem to be trying to turn all of their franchises into open world RPG’s, however these games just do not suit the RPG game design and it takes away what made these franchises great to begin with.

    Grinding for loot, XP and fighting over levelled damage sponge enemies is not what made Ubisofts titles so special and now it has ruined them in my honest opinion. This goes for Assassins Creed, Watch Dogs, Ghost Recon and Far Cry. They all follow the same RPG open world design now and it just sucks.

    Please for the love of god just give us an authentic FarCry experience without loot grinding, awfully baked in RPG mechanics and bloated open world activities. Basically, just give us a modernised FarCry 2 or 3.    … Expand

    Après avoir fini le jeu, je ressors avec un sentiment très mitigé. Car le synopsis était à la hauteur mais Ubisoft pèche encore une fois par ses quêtes ennuyeuses. Le jeu n’est pas mauvais mais il n’est pas excellent non plus. C’est un jeu moyen qui propose par moments de belles séquences.
    Pour moi, j’ai aimé le début et la fin du jeu.

    The game had amazing voice acting, music choice, dialogue and scenery that felt genuine to the location. As a latin person I'm very thankful for it, we usually have to consume content that in inaccurate in all ways but this genuinely seemed to be like effort and love was put in all details of the world to be true to a Latin American country.     I was not expecting this game to be such a disappointment. It looks and feels like 2007 game. Textures and materials are bad what happened to the water? Animations are creepy. This should not be sold at any price.

    Ubisoft has become one of the worst developers by far. The world is empty and each little checkpoint has the same three guys and a tank. Every other NPC is woke themed. The storyline is garbage despite having an amazing actor. This game is a complete disaster. I wouldn't play it for free or even if you gave me a few bucks. Then you have the jobless mouth breathers who cannot afford new games and just copy/paste the same trashy, shallow two sentences because there’s some gay people somewhere in the game. The people who cry about every little thing being “WOKE” are sexually confused, self-hating snowflakes. Sorry, it’s not our fault you’ve got issues from what your daddy did to you. Get a therapist instead of having a meltdown over Disney movies and video games.

    As for the game itself, this is one of three FC games since the original that actually has a soul, FC3 and 5 being the others (by the way, it’s absolutely HILARIOUS how the cretins I described above now apparently LOVE FC5 when it was at first considered “anti-American” LOL). There are some design choices and story elements that I would have definitely changed, as well as some boring side activity/questing options, but there is a decent feel of authenticity here although it’s drowned out at times. Another thing that annoys me is how the game suffers from the same thing that has plagued basically all forms of multimedia nowadays - an obsession with mistaking “let’s kill everyone around protagonist, including other main characters, and surround them with constant brutality” as “seriousness”. Sorry, but that isn’t how it works. Instead it gets to a point where there’s no reason to even a reason to develop any emotional attachment or give an F about really anything with how all these movies, shows, games, etc. that think they’re being clever or “real”. This is, I think, why the game - again, like many others - tries for moments of levity and comedy in-between, but a lot of times these come off as awkward or forced.

    As for the rest, the gun play is good, graphics are great, there are no “bugs” - which is another vague code word used when these sad losers try really hard to make their “0” score of something they’ve never experienced, look like a real review.

    Overall, not the greatest FC, but definitely not the worst (FC1 on console and FC Primal). It’s a solid 7.5 or so, maybe a 6 or 8 depending on how burned out you are on these “open world” action games. Of course I have to give it a 10 on this site because of the aforementioned sad trash bombing its score.

    Definitely worth grabbing now as it’s super cheap on every console and *just* (literally today) became free on PS Plus.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. با سلام . خلاصه بگم بازیش واقعا برای من اوایلش خوب بود فقط بعدش کل معموریتای اصلی شدن فرعی و این یک اجبار بود برای تموم کردن بازی و به شدت حوصله سر بر شده بود طوری که تا یکی دو ماه سمت بازی نرفتم و فقط بعدا برای گرفتن پلاتنیوم تروفیش یه سری زدم دوباره که بعدش بازم حالم بد شد از سیستم مبارزات و داستان و پشیمکن شدم باز کل معموریتای اصلیکه عملا فرعی بودن در گرفتن کامیون ازاد کردن یه بابایی بعدش خراب کردن بیلبورد خلاصه میشدن و ی چیز خیلی بد که گند زده بود تو گیم پلی این بود که کاراکتر اصلی بازی ضد گلوله بود و من تو طول بازی یک بارم سر موقع مبارزه و .. نمردم و فقط سر باگای بازی که یهو با ماشین داریم میریم و ماشین میوفته داخل زمین و یهو کاراکتر میمیره یعنی ماشین یاگ میخوره و میره داخل زمین و یهو هیچی میمیریم واقلا کلا بگم مبارزات افضاح و هیچ چالشی مداشت مخفی کاریم که نگم یهو طرف صورت ش اونطوربه اونور دنیاس یهو میفهمه اینا هم بیخبر از دنیا میفهمن و گند میشه تو همه چیز . با تشکر این بود انتقاد من از این بازی مثلا شاهکار برای خیلیا… Expand

Two: there is a good main story here but it's spaced out by too much padding. Three: the side characters can be so annoying and cringe that it's hard to like any of them.     Do not buy this game!!! Buy Far Cry 5 or 3 instead. This game is literally a carbon copy of Far Cry 5, made worse because of no perks, no crafting, and only suits giving you power.

    Just far cry 5, but better mechanics. Still the game is pretty bad. Very low replay value. The "hardest difficulty" isn't even hard. Anton is a better villian than Joseph, but at the same time Anton is played by giancarlo. Basic ubisoft game 7/10

    After giving up on the crappy Call of Duty series, worn every year, with each title released, more of the same Far Cry and Bordalands will become my favorite first-person shooter series, however I recognize that Far Cry 6 is far from being the best of the series but one thing it continues to have the fun factor and it's not boring and good for co-op play

I mean - when you ask people to name something they liked about Far Cry 3... they're going to say    It's honestly sad just how Far Cry has fallen.

    Far Cry 3 captivated people not really because of the gameplay, but because of how well written it was, with a bunch of stupid but likeable characters, a wild and recognizable (secondary) villain that shows some depth and an exciting storyline. I mean - when you ask people to name something they liked about Far Cry 3... they're going to say "Vaas", right? They're not gonna tell you that they love the collectibles. Or the crafting system.

    But with each entry in the series, they moved further and further away from what made Far Cry great while at the same time expanding the scope of the game. The maps get bigger, they get "more to do" while everything else falls by the wayside.

    I have played about half of the main story and the only story development I got so far was "we need more people for the revolution because look how horrible this Castillo guy is!" None of the characters are interesting or likeable, they're shallow caricatures, empty shells filled with stereotypes from comic books and movies. And if that wasn't enough, even the main character has the charisma of stale bread.

    Even when moving on to the gameplay, it's somehow... worse? Nothing I did in the game felt fun or rewarding. The activities on the map are uninspired and samey. Go here, destroy a billboard and kill all soldiers. Go there, destroy an AA gun and kill all soldiers. And so on and so forth. It very much reminded me of the NCPD scanner events from Cyberpunk 2077 - at least the combat in that game is actually fun.

    And that's about it. When you purchase Far Cry 6, you get an ocean of lukewarm and shallow activites with a story and characters that might as well just not be there. I honestly do not understand how anyone can like or enjoy these games anymore.

    Ubisoft is a shadow of its former self, focusing on easily monetizable content that can be churned out every two years or so using gigantic development teams. With that kind of structure in place (as a whole at Ubisoft), there's no way the devs can put the deserved creative energy, love and care into their projects. They just have to grind away to make everything bigger, to keep people playing for a whole two years until the next entry in the series drops.

    I'm done with Far Cry.

    2/10 because the game looks nice and runs pretty well on PC. It's a "working product", just not a good one.    … Expand

    I have to say, although I really don’t like RPG elements as they are added with clothing, everything else about that game is typical far cry.
    I like the story setting and the sneaking very much. You should give it a try.

Far Cry 6 is a very Ubisoft game, and I could care less about it.

Far Cry 6 also continues the trend of colorful gaming by splattering everything with red paint for the bad guys and blue paint for the hood guys. Every system, down to the crafting menu, has the most basic, generic look and feel. Polished? Yes, but then that polish is cut and pasted across the entire game world. The gameplay feels exactly like the last Far Cry I played, which was Far Cry 4. Gun don’t really feel good. Driving doesn’t really feel good. And hiring enemies with a machete feels terrible. You charge to cut them in half, and they effortlessly knock you down. The only new game element is the “Supremo”, a backpack rocket launcher. This serves as the ultimate ability you see in many other games like Destiny and Overwatch. Everything does work, and I’m this age of busted releases, I give Ubisoft credit for not making a broken game.

    What makes these kind of generic open world games special is the open world. Give the player an interesting challenge and they will do it. Give the player a lot of cookie cutter based, and they will become bored and stop playing. That’s what happened with me. I could see the entire arc of the game after the first few mission. Doesn’t help that this game is so much like Just Cause 2, and Just Cause 2 made the revolution more fun.

    All in all, I think Ubisoft needs a change in leadership. As an organization, they just don’t have the taste or desire to make anything memorable. As far as I am concerned, they could give their games away. Indeed, I played Far Cry 6 over a free to play weekend. Despite every monetary reason to play this to the end, I couldn’t do it. Almost anything is more fun than Far Cry 6. I also couldn’t get past the first mission in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and I downloaded that via PlayStation Plus Extra. I probably won’t touch another Ubisoft game for the foreseeable future.    … Expand

    Don't listen to the reviews, go play the game it's a lot of fun. It may be worse than the other far cry games but the artwork and design is very solid.

But with far cry 6 I am 20 hour in and bored out of my mind..FC 6 is a hugh steep in the wrong direction..Its an open world game filling with generic overused ideas, lbgtq politics, tedious grind or pay mechanics and not one ounce of originality..I have played and finished every Far Cry gamee since the first.     I quit the game after 6 hours. Start was good but when the game let you in open world it hits you that sadly its just kinda uninteresting and really boring. No immersion for me.

Genau so wie das letzte Ghost Recon, stupide immer das gleiche und das Stunden lang auf einer riesigen Map. Nur einige Charaktere sind teilweise interessant gezeichnet. Optisch ist die Welt okay, aber von Nextgen weit entfernt.

    Never in my life as a videogamer I gravitated towards the villain as I did in FarCry6: Anton Castillo doesn't seem better nor worse than his antagonists in any aspect, but at least he's not an hypocrite, unlike the "La Libertad" clowns that I have the misfortune of dealing with.
    In every mission where I massacred soldiers, civilians and animals I deep down hoped to be crashed by Castillo's forces, being captured and hanged in the capital main square as I deserved.
    My bad for not doing my research before buying this piece of garbage (yes, in 2022 you need to do research before buying a damn videogame), I have much rather spent these money on cyanide flavoured popsicles.

    And last the vehicle logic dont know what the horses of Yara eat but make them strong like tanks kinda dosent mach here, and talking about the tanks, the tanks are one of the most annoying vehicules in the game they dont have any strength in the roads a simple bush,rock or something in the way can make the tank stuck you cant crash with a vehicule because they dont let you pass. At least make the cars explote if we cant run over them if they crash against us.
    ¡UBISOFT if you want to make good games again listen to the players for once!
    Wanna fix the game at least a bit? Make an update where we can choose the how we want the experience for example: to choose if the enemies are weak to a certain type of bullet and more(like you guys did in ghost recon breakpoint)

At points of the story I wasn't sure if the writers wanted the player to feel justified or disgusted, because the warcrimes just keep on coming. I'll end my **** here for now, the only silver lining for me was that it didn't crash and that nothing could score lower than BF2142 in 2021.… Expand

Die Special und abstrusen Waffen habe ich so gut wie nie genutzt. Als Tier nur den Hund. Und halt so Standard-Waffen. Karabiner, Sniper und Pistole. So hab ich mir selbst ein nicht zu übertriebenes Spiel geschaffen.

Don’t get me wrong, the core gameplay mechanics are pretty solid, which is why I scored more than zero. What makes this game terrible is the story and the characters. Literally every likeable character is killed off, and all we are left with is an unlikeable group of psychopaths. The nominal good guys we are left with go round committing war crime after war crime, killing unarmed prisoners etc. By the end of the game I wished I could join the totalitarian dictator, who seemed positively good and decent in comparison.… Expand

    removed the map editor wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! worst far cry ever, open world was trash too, story also trash .
    no to mention how forced the left wing quests .
    one of the worst games this gen i think ive ever played next to watch dogs legion.
    next they put out ghost recon and set it on fire.
    only IP they have thats good still is AC.

    I enjoy the ubisoft far cry games a fair bit, the gameplay is very enjoyable and it's easy to lose yourself in the sandbox. I've even enjoyed some of the DLC /spinoff games like Blood Dragon which was great fun, and Primal, which was enjoyable and fun despite it being a bit bloated for the simple story it had.

    Far Cry 3 and 4 were the pique of the series so far, Far Cry 5 had it's moments but Far Cry 6 had real potential. A somewhat gritty and interesting story, with interesting characters and somewhat based on a real revolution.
    Far Cry 6 pulled me in with a trailer that hasn't impressed me so much since the earlier Assassin's Creed games (also a Ubisoft series), stunning music, great visuals, and Giancarlo Esposito as the antagonist.
    Plus it's the first PS5 Far Cry game, so hopes were high.
    All that being said, the story of Far Cry 6 was pretty poor. There was tons of potential, but it didn't really go anywhere.
    Firsty, open world games just tend to suck at narratives. You spent tens of hours doing side quests and battles for a 5 minute cutscene of the antagonist every now and then. Few games managed to make the stories interesting despite being open-world. Assassins' creed 1-3 actually did manage to pull it off (again a ubisoft series).
    Far Cry 6 did one thing well, and that was the protagonist. Normally Far Cry protagonists are shells with no personalities that the player is meant to insert themselves into, however, Far Cry 6 has a great protagnist for once. And the Protagonists were well cast, and had potential, but nothing really came from their characters. WIthout spoiling, the plot just falls flat.

    I'm glad I waited for Far Cry 6 to be on a sale, I think I'd be more upset if I'd spent hundreds of dollars on it.    … Expand

When I come back to it, it’s the same amount of fun as when I started. Graphics could be slightly better on PS5 but everything runs smooth. Worth a buy!

Has the same feel of that game, especially when you get the best weapon in the game. Ton of fun. It’s be nice if the story was longer/islands had more quests. But still a lot of fun. Some of the quests are riffs of GTA missions or Red Dead missions and they don’t come off as original but it’s the gameplay that works. The story is just good enough.

    I can’t say it’s aweful..it’s just not a good game..everything about it are mediocre

    Ubisoft's signature franchises continue to deliver on what the fans have come to expect and Far Cry 6 is no exception. A sprawling sandbox with tons to do and perfect escapism for a few hours… a few tens of hours. Fans of the series or Ubisoft's style, in general, will want to pick this one up, those who haven't ever clicked with them will find nothing new here to change their mind, with only a few changes that just do not push the boat out or move away from the formulaic. Most exciting though, is the upcoming DLC: a season pass that promises to give players a whole different experience. Stepping into the shoes of the villains of the previous games, starting with Vaas.     The new episode of the Far Cry series really tries a lot to find new ways how to enjoy the game, and at the same time it relies on the unattainable depth that the charismatic Giancarlo Esposito was supposed to give to the game. Instead, players again receive a disparate mishmash that is increasingly moving away from both the original Far Cry idea and the Just Cause sandbox.

    If I’m being honest, my frustrations with the marketing’s focus on the worst caricatures of Latinx people made me brace myself for a racist triple-A experience full of gross clichés and awkward attempts to be apolitical. Instead, I was surprised to find that more thought than I expected was put into its depiction of Latinx people. Although it isn’t perfect — those cringeworthy lines! The grind of finding gear! — it’s better than what I initially expected, and that counts for something.
