Jul 28, 2025Edens Zero from Konami does a wonderful job of representing the source material it was born from. It comes with a meaningful and engaging story with great characters that are well-developed, while presenting an easy-to-jump-into gameplay design that is fun to dive into without much fuss. The hiccups lie with the lack of frequent enemy encounters and the choice of how you can play the game.
-
Jul 17, 2025Aware of its limitations, Edens Zero is not only a faithful adaptation designed to win fans' approval, but also a good action RPG that even serves the purpose of winning over fans of the genre, whether you like Hiro Mashima's work or not. In other words, Edens Zero is, surprisingly, more than a standard anime game and makes do with its features.

Jul 16, 2025This video game adaptation of Edens Zero doesn't make the best first impression, but if you stick with it for a few hours, it gets a lot better. It's rough around the edges and has multiple issues that persist throughout, such as a certain clunkiness to its combat, but its entertaining story full of outrageous characters and ample number of unique playable characters will keep you coming back for more.

Jul 11, 2025Edens Zero is a flawed but endearing action RPG that blends heartfelt storytelling with expansive exploration and light RPG mechanics. While hampered by dated visuals and performance hiccups, its character-driven charm and rewarding gameplay loop make it a worthwhile experience for fans and curious newcomers alike.

Aug 3, 2025Edens Zero, as an anime-based title, manages to capture the essence of the original work, though not without flaws. Its charming story and straightforward gameplay do the job, but outdated graphics and a lack of depth might turn off players looking for a more robust experience. It’s a game made for fans — and hardly for anyone else.
-
Jul 15, 2025Edens Zero offers a faithful adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s story with a detailed narrative and varied characters, but it suffers from overly simplistic combat, uninspired mission design, and outdated visuals. While the exploration of Blue Garden adds some depth and content, the low difficulty and repetitive gameplay limit its appeal mostly to fans of the series.
-
Jul 29, 2025If you want boobs even more giant, and if you have a vendetta against your square button and your free time, then I’d heartily recommend Edens Zero. If you’ve played any anime action game since the PS2, then you should know there are many better options out there.

Jul 28, 2025Konami's video game adaptation of Edens Zero is a fun action RPG that follows the events of the original story. The combat is a bit slow at first, but once you unlock more moves and playable characters, the action becomes far more palatable. However, the outdated graphics and presentation may be a barrier for some fans.

Jul 25, 2025Edens Zero is a seemingly half-hearted and unconventional undertaking: a title designed for fans already familiar with the story, the characters, and their powers. Getting interested in Mashima's work from the game alone is difficult, as the hyper-fast-paced plot doesn't allow for any attachment or empathy, the stark locations lack the same punch as those drawn in the manga or anime, and the characters are like dolls to be dressed up however we want, only to have them clash with each other, without ever feeling a sense of challenge. If that's enough for you, there are indeed quite a few costumes and "costumes," especially (but not exclusively) for women, with animations that showcase them well, and models of the protagonists that fit them perfectly. As for the game itself, however, there's very little RPG in it, and the action is lazy and overly simple. A real shame.
-
Jul 15, 2025There's no doubt that Edens Zero manages to adapt a dense and complex story into an extremely accessible action RPG format. However, aspects such as gameplay, visuals and narrative structure show incredible unrealized potential, resulting in an adaptation that takes little advantage of what Hiro Mashima's incredible work has to offer.
-
Jul 14, 2025EDENS ZERO is a competent adaptation and a very basic — but often fun — action RPG. Generic in its design and held back by some seriously rough visuals, it's the kind of game that's barely going to appeal to those outside of the established fandom, but there is a charm in how breezy it is to actually play. The bottom line is that if you're looking for an easygoing anime-based adventure, you could do worse than EDENS ZERO — although it does take a few hours for things to feel mechanically interesting.
-
Jul 21, 2025Edens Zero is a mediocre attempt to bring a well-loved manga into the interactive medium. The combat lacks the nuance found in stronger action-RPGs. While switching between party members adds some variety, battles quickly become repetitive and tiresome. The story is messy, and its basic presentation fails to hold your attention. Although the game throws together many ideas, none are fully realized, resulting in a disjointed and unpolished experience.
-
Jul 16, 2025Edens Zero is your usual low budget tie-in with a twist: it actually had a huge potential thanks to a few brilliant features and combat systems that Bandai Namco wasted with outdated visuals and clunky controls.

Aug 6, 2025There simply aren’t enough engaging and worthwhile gameplay elements in Edens Zero to make it worth experiencing a worse version of the story. Superfans of the series might find something to love if they dig deep enough – but Konami’s Edens Zero, more than anything, is another grim reminder of the unrealized potential of anime-based video games.
