Dosa Divas is an entree sized meal, with the heart the size of a main menu item. A good meal can sometimes do a lot with little, and Dosa Divas is a perfect gaming example of that.

I’m happy to have been introduced to new pieces of southeast Asian cuisine, but the biggest point against Dosa Divas is that it doesn’t come bundled with anything to snack on while you play. Who knows, maybe they’re saving that for the collector’s edition.

Blending systems from past RPG greats, as if they’re ingredients in the culinary dishes you will make in the game, Dosa Divas is a fun turn-based RPG that keeps your attention during combat and doesn’t overstay its welcome. With a well-realized world and some funny dialogue, it’s a consistently charming RPG that is worth checking, as even an appetizer can be quite fulfilling.

Dosa Divas combines exploration, cooking, and turn-based battles into one colourful and entertaining tale that will make you ask for seconds.

Dosa Divas is good old-fashioned gaming comfort food. It'll feel familiar going down, yet also nonsensical and with a zest of culture that won't be for everyone. However what's here is an experience that's tough, fair, and totally filling.

Dosa Divas isn't without some ingredients missing to create a robust RPG, but it's a well-seasoned narrative adventure that's exciting your senses. The story and characters are heartfelt and impressively written, the combat system although not expansive is fun to engage with; and the cooking minigames, whilst not perfect, are an excellent detour to round out the gameplay loop.
