    Never bought a Dirt Game since Dirt Rally (PSVR version) but as this was only racing game at launch, took a shot. I am so glad I did. This is like the DriveClub that was meant to be, only wider variety of vehicle types and surfaces. Silky smooth 60FPS graphics in quality mode (same in online races).

    Wheel support is fantastic with good handling feel over different surfaces and conditions and FFB works nicely with a T300RS Thrustmaster.

    The game’s soundtrack is also epic.

    The dev team are fairly local to where I live and I am so glad they are back on track with this title. I have just spent 5hrs solid and I’m addicted to it. If only DriveClub could be re-released on PS5 with 60FPS, that was the only thing stopping the title being a huge system seller for PS4 and Pro!

    As a launch title for PS5, I think it has the best graphics on any title, including Miles Morales & Demon Souls ! I don’t think Dirt 5 marketing team have really promoted this as well as they should have. I was totally not expecting the title to be this good. Superb

    Отличная аркадная гонка с приятной физикой. Хейтеров за физон не понимаю, т.к. для руля и педалей есть грязь с подзаголовком ралли. Короче - графон топ, звуки огонь, отдача в дуалсэнс кайф, залипать в редакторе карт круто.

    Great game for all ages. As a grown man I loved it, you get a modern sense of arcade racing with some damage and inconsequential racing on all terrains. I had a blast and purchased the dlc and loved that as well. Great art style and graphics and great track and vehicle selections. Quite a variation of race types and even a voice over story mode that isn’t intrusive to your play and yourGreat game for all ages.     Einfach ein grandiosen, grafisch geiles Rennspiel. Hatte sehr viel Spaß damit und alles komplett in der Cockpit-Ansicht gespielt. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Nur die Drift-Punkte-Rennen haben mich persönlich genervt.

    I wasn't a big fan of Dirt 4. But wow this brings me back to the days of going to an arcade and playing a racer. The sound and visuals/tracks are really fun to play. I hear there are some issues with not having fully unassisted steering, doesn't bother me. I wish there were more cars but i guess i'll have to wait for the new Gran Turismo, but in the mean time this quinces my thirst.

    + Haptic feedback
    + Playground mode
    + Cockpit view
    + Accessible and arcadey racer

    So-So:
    - Rubberband A.I?

    Cons:
    - Third person view obstructs vision a lot of times, times where cockpit views are not the best option, ethier

    This game should be up there as a showpiece for the ps5 controller, would buy this game full price just for the haptic feedback.

    + split screen - game still crashes consistently. (no save file corruption though so far) - no real need to buy new cars, even when playing on hard mode - not much content (lack of cars, customization other than visuals) Dirt 5 is a great looking game which is perfect for some fast and short fun. start it, play for 30    + Game looks good and great performance

    As I got this game for free, I give it an 8. Really fun to race and cool cars, the dualsense is wonderful here! The problem is that it looks like a millennium to get into the races, which are the best part!

    It is actually a really good game. The playgrounds mode and 2 player arcade are the best but the career mode is good too. Its really fun but after around 3 hours of non stop playing it does get a little boring.

    The car selection is nice. There are modern rally cars, 90s and 80s rally cars, gt cars, super light cars, big and heavy Jeep’s and so on. Car customization is possible, but you can only change sponsors and the sponsor layout, car livery and some complete designs. So it’s nothing compared to GT Sport or Forza but you can still make your car look good.
    There is a career mode…well…to be honest it’s just a bunch of different races and challenges you have to do to progress. Not a real career if you ask me. Sadly this can get boring a little to fast.
    But for me the worst is the difficulty. On normal EVERY race is a cakewalk. Really…there is no challenge here. So…I switched to hard.
    Still to easy…it felt exactly the same.
    Okay here we go…very hard. Yeah…now it gets strange. On very hard the most races are still to easy I think. But from out of nowhere there are some races that just totally obliterated me.
    If you didn’t buy the best car of the class you won’t have a chance. Maybe this is just me and a lack of skill in some car classes but I get the feeling that the difficulty is just unbalanced in some rare instances.
    I knew before buying that this is no Dirt Rally. But if I remember correctly there were still some rally events in older dirt games. Yeah sadly they are gone now. Okay time to finish this.
    Dirt 5 is a good looking off road arcade racer with: a career mode which isn’t a career and isn’t rewarding enough, a decent car and track selection, good controls, an unbalanced but mostly to easy difficulty. Dirt is a perfect racing game for moments when I’m waiting for something or when there isn’t enough time to play something big. 7/10 it’s a good game…but nothing that will stay in my mind.    … Expand

    Good music, nice vehicles and routes. Graphics looks good but not perfect. In minus, AI should be harder in campaing beacuse at very hard level without any supports you can probably win all races without any trouble.

    The game is quite a good instalment to the dirt franchise but compared to Dirt 4 and dirt 3 i would say its not as good.

    Sendo um jogo "oferecido" pela PS plus, dá para passar algumas horas de diversão em diferentes tipos de pista.
    Não sendo grande fã de jogos de condução, dei por mim a querer acabar a campanha e a divertir-me bastante.

    This was my first racing game on PS5. I did not expect it to be an excellent game, but since it is the DiRT franchise, I must say I expected better than what I experienced.

    A first thing I noticed is how poor the online mode is. Just random races without any goal attached. No progression system, no championships, no unlocks, no ranked play, nada. Super super basic. Even worse than in    This was my first racing game on PS5. I did not expect it to be an excellent game, but since it is the DiRT franchise, I must say I expected better than what I experienced.

    A first thing I noticed is how poor the online mode is. Just random races without any goal attached. No progression system, no championships, no unlocks, no ranked play, nada. Super super basic. Even worse than in Wreckfest, where lobbies do not dissolve after each race (yes, DiRT 5 really does that).

    Then I also noticed a terrible lack of modes among which the most basic one you might expect in a rally game, the actual rally mode. Nope, there is no rally in DiRT 5. The whole game is about racing other cars (something like 12 or 16, don’t remember, yet I finished the game) on 3-5 lap races or sprints. You also have some gymkhanas (way less good than in the excellent DiRT 3) and all-terrain sprints with obstacles. That’s it. There is also Playgrounds mode, but that is really of no interest to me. This all makes it so fastidious to even finish the career mode. Races are so boring and so similar. I have turned off all the assists and play in manual so I really gave it all.

    All that said, I have to mention that the game looks really nice on PS5. In the end that is one of the main reasons why I bought it. I played it in Fidelity Mode, in which I noticed some fps drops (sometimes up to total lag) but other than that it plays smooth. The handling of the cars is not as good as in DiRT 3, despite the smart use of DualSense’s features. The cars handling is quite fade and rigid. That’s a real shame because games like Wreckfest can do way better, so why not DiRT 5?

    In conclusion, I find myself quite disappointed with DiRT 5. I expected so much more, and better. The game feels like a way-too-long-demo lacking many modes and content in general. It is not totally bad, but clearly is a step back in comparison with its direct predecessors. I am curious to see which game will be the first real good experience on PS5.    … Expand

    Sure it's pretty, I think the frame rate is nice & it's great that there is a new Dirt game available to play on the new consoles...
    Problems are the AI isnt very smart, there doesn't seem to be any replays so you can watch your races & there isn't any solo rally in the Career Mode from what I've found...
    So far I had more fun with Dirt 2 & Dirt 4...

Ele chega a ficar repetitivo, não gostei da forma de progressão, é muito fácil adquirir os carros. Os desafios durante a corrida em algumas delas não faziam o menor sentido (ficar x segundos no ar em uma pista que não tem pulos, por exemplo).     Great game, but disappointing performance on PS5. The framerate is horrible and slowdowns are frequent. Playing on 120 fps mode helps, but the graphics don't look very next gen in performance mode and there are still frequent frame rate dips. I've had some crashes too, but no save corruption fortunately. This game needs a lot of work as of my review.

    I am a long time fan of the Dirt series, I have seen the series at their top (Dirt 3), and I am now witnessing the series at its lowest. Objectively, it’s not a bad racing game, but it’s a bad Dirt game. Dirt has always found the sweet spot between arcade and simulation to make a very fun an engaging game, unfortunately this time around it feels like they turned the lever far too much inI am a long time fan of the Dirt series, I have seen the series at their top (Dirt 3), and I am now witnessing the series at its lowest. Objectively, it’s not a bad racing game, but it’s a bad Dirt game. Dirt has always found the sweet spot between arcade and simulation to make a very fun an engaging game, unfortunately this time around it feels like they turned the lever far too much in the direction of arcade without compensating for it in the gameplay. The best way of describing the feel of the game is as if Need for Speed made a Dirt game. The physics feel a little strange although are completely tolerable. What bothered me most about the physics was that there is virtually zero consequence for hitting other cars, so you’ll naturally accelerate hard into corners and use your opponents to slow your momentum so you can take the lead - it’s a little ridiculous. The AI is also very poor, they never make any mistakes and they just clump together in large packs, so you’re either in a way overcrowded stretch or you’re completely on your own. The graphics are decent but nothing to write home about, it almost feels like an upscaled PS4 game (fairly certain this is it). However, the colors in the game are awesome, everything feels super colorful and vibrant. Another cool feature is the active changes in time of day and weather throughout the course of a race, although while it’s a neat feature, it’s just so overused that it feels like a nuisance after awhile because every single race will have poor visibility either due to weather or time of day. The game is also missing some standard features that make for a more bare bones experience, for example, there is no replay system to go back and watch any awesome overtakes, and there is no co-driver that reads any upcoming turns and you can’t adjust where the minimap is located, so you’re stuck constantly taking your eyes off the road trying to figure out what turns are ahead. With all that being said, it’s still a fun game, I enjoyed it, but I couldn’t keep pushing through it felt pretty repetitive. The first 1/3 of the game is exciting, but the remaining 2/3 are just slight changes to the maps and race types that you have already been playing. This game was fun while it lasted. I also play a lot of racing games and use to play multiplayer games in my high school days but now that it's hard for me and my friends to find a good time to link up so now it’s more rare for me to get into a multiplayer game. Up to try any genre of games and sometimes I find something new that I didn't think I'd like. I own a PC (built by me), Xbox One X, Xbox Series X, PS3, PS4, PS5, and a Switch. I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of course influenced by my personal opinions.

    (6) Limited Appeal. Although there may be fans of games receiving this score, many will be left yearning for a more rewarding game experience.

    I’ve enjoyed Dirt 2, Dirt 4, and Dirt Rally but this latest release is a giant step back from their previous games. This iteration has no depth to it and is more arcady than their previous games which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but there isn’t any damage either and with the flip flop of sim vs arcade feel customers may not know what they are buying into if they played their past games . They took out their flashback mechanic too. It would be better if they only had this at an Arcade and I would just be able to put quarters in for the little amount of time it keeps me entertained.    … Expand

    Dirt 5 is a decent game. Not great but not bad. The graphics are excellent and the haptic controls are good. Short career mode and it gets repetitive. Get it on super sale if you want it.

    DIRT 5 is an excellent, stunning and simply enjoyable arcade racer that is easy for anyone to pick-up and play regardless of your motor vehicle knowledge with a career mode that is surprisingly entertaining. You may want to pick it up on PlayStation 5 though since it feels awesome to play with the new DualSense features.

    DIRT 5 on the PS5 is the best version of the game to get on PlayStation consoles, when it works. That’s a big caveat, and most gamers will not want to have to constantly remember to pre-emptively upload their save game after a few races, or risk losing hours of progress due to one unfortunate crash. This also necessitates a PlayStation Plus subscription, since copying PS5 save games to USB storage is unfortunately not an option as of this writing. Assuming these issues get patched out, then it is easy to recommend buying this on the PS5, because DIRT 5 is a showcase racing game for the next generation of consoles with its smart use of haptic feedback and ray tracing, all while delivering a smooth performance.
