Sep 15, 2021Pros:
+ Freedom in gameplay (imagine Dishonored quality)
+ Loop mechanics that works really well
+ Unusuall game worls
Cons:
- PS3 graphics (imagine Dishonored quality)
- AI (imagine Dishonored quality)
- Bugs that force you to reload level. (there is no saving during level, so you have to replay it).
Add one point (7 -> 8) once the game is patched. -

Sep 26, 2021It’s a solid seven guys, eight at best if you’re really into the style of it but doesn’t really offer anything we haven’t seen before done better (original Dishonoured is a better game than this). If you’re into the whole time loop thing then I’d check out The Forgotten City… it’s much more compelling to play and the writing is leagues ahead of Deathloop.

Sep 17, 2021I was looking forward for this game, but I was very disappointed. I didn't hate it, but didn't love it either, but I think this is one of those games that the majority of people will love or hate. After 6 hours of gameplay I realized that I've thrown my money away, it became so boring so fast. Not recommended at full price, wait for a sale.

Jan 13, 2022Excellent setting and lore, beautiful graphics and engaging gameplay let down by possibly the dumbest AI recently as well as a mediocre ending.
-
Apr 20, 2022It’s a good game, but far from being amazing. It gets repetitive and forced me to rush to the end because I was getting bored. Honestly I can’t understand the critics rate. I would advise to get it on a sale if you don’t have anything in mind.

Sep 27, 2021A fun game but far too Linear. Gives the illusion of having multipal ways to play etc but following waypoints is how you progress.....only one(ish) way of doing the final loop is disapointing.

Oct 2, 2021Pretty fun game to play but the story could have been better in my opinion, I would wait for a sale instead of buying full price

Feb 23, 2022I did not enjoy Deathloop. The 10/10 scores from the major outlets baffle me. It's a good game overall, but it brings nothing new to the table nor does it excel at implementing established tropes of the loop genre

Jul 3, 2022Game was just okay for me really. Love the mechanics but think Dishonored did everything a lot better. The art style is really cool as well.
-
Dec 18, 2022Great concept, horrible AI, decent gameplay but gets repetitive very fast, somewhat decent story.
-
Mar 24, 2022Compared to Dishonored games, Deathloop is definitely not as mysterious in its storytelling, but it would be a lie to say that characters and the world are not charming and wonderful. If you've enjoyed Dishonored's gameplay, this is that but crazier and more open to a non-stealth approach. Highly recommend.

Dec 13, 2021This game incorecctly promises a vast freedom of playing but delivers just a shooter wherin you search for items to interact with until the computer tells you whom to kill on what time in which location to complete the story.

Dec 9, 2021great story and vocie acting, visuals and performance were top notch. but that ending really stunk it up, even though theres tons of replay ability i havnt gone back since i beat the story.
-
Oct 4, 2021First, I would give this an 8 if it weren't for the game breaking menu freezing bugs which can cause you to lose up to 2 hours' playtime and progression. I've had this happen 3 times and wish I had waited until the game was patched.

Sep 20, 2021Reviewers that are giving this game 10/10 should be fired, because it doesn't even come close to perfection. I'm enjoying myself and it has some unique elements to it, but please stop acting like this is one of the best games the world has ever seen. The loading times are quite long, graphics look dated and the AI is brain death.

Sep 6, 2023Eh. Game is fine. Gameplay loop is solid but that’s about all it has. Somewhat interesting setting and premise but not executed well. Visual design is good. Colt is a cool character. But everything is mediocre to just decent. Reviewers gassed it up too much

Feb 17, 2022The gameplay is fun - until 80% of the way through and then it becomes a bit tedious. I gave up with 2 trophies for the plat - I just wasn’t enjoying the repetitiveness. I just couldn’t go back to that one’s really at the same time of day for the 100th time.
The gunplay and skills felt a bit clunky but the dialogue, planning of story discovery were excellent. -
Sep 15, 2021Not really a Huge Fan Of Arkane but DEATHLOOP ( aside from the performance issues and poor AI which I'm hoping they'll fix in a patch) is an absolute Joy to discover!

Dec 2, 2021Deathloop offers well-designed stealth levels under the core gameplay of Roguelike. At the same time, the variety of weapons and special powers also support the exciting combat. Julianna's "invasion" adds the uncertainty of the game, but may also spoil the player's experience.

CD-ActionNov 15, 2021I’m honestly surprised, because I did not expect to have so much fun with Deathloop. It draws some gameplay ideas from Dishonored, but introduces time-related mechanics, offers an intriguing story with interesting characters and has its own unique and coherent style. It’s an original game, full of surprises and addictive, but not necessarily easily digestible for everyone. For me however it’s one of the best titles of 2021. [11/2021, p.22]

Oct 29, 2021Deathloop is Arkane at its best, combining its system-driven immersive-sim gameplay with a unique and fascinating story set-up. Excellent presentation and style, along with fantastic dialogue and character performances makes Deathloop one of the most innovative games in years and a valuable PS5 exclusive.
