    This game lts no a shooter. Is a rouguelike with to bad in mechanics. There only 4 scenarios not pretty good and tiny. I know the game it's about a Bucle that you had to stop it, but it's annoying earing one and one again the same dialogs and killing the same bosses too repetitive. Grafics looks good with one or two bugs and the story is fine but this condition the game mechanics.

    I am not the type of guy who doesn't finish games but this one I just couldn't. After progressing long enough I had no energy to continue on. The combat is unbalanced AI is dumb and there is no risk factor other than the raid the antagonist does.

    A very mediocre game and Arkane's laziest work in my opinion (and I love Dishonored). Very boring, repetitive, and forgettable. I do not recommend playing this one at all.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Too grindy. Dumb bosses. There are only 4 maps that you play over and over. If you die in the gas chamber or ice, then you lose everything, wasting hours of collecting residuum. It's a game for children with hours of their life to waste on some boolean values. If you have a job, this is not for you

    I think the concept is cool but it's gets pretty old pretty fast and I feel in a genre as oversaturated as the FPS genre you have to do something unique in your gameplay and this just comes off as generic. I do like the main character and the way his story is presented.

    The well known menu bug still exists even after the last patch. This bug makes the game unplayable, because you have to restart the game when it occurs and because there are no saves within a day you will lose all your progress on that day. If you‘re unlucky, several hours of effort are gone. It occured to me twice within 4 hours of total playtime. 4 Hours of wasted life.

    This game is horrible and overhyped. Menu system is horrible and outdated, the game is a repetitive mess, the characters are not likeable (annoying sounding protagonist and antagonist), and the game has tons of freezing and crashes. Avoid this trash!

    Just like all Arkhanes games it's starts out with interesting ideas and ends as a mess of broken systems and undercooked ideas. Unlike their other games Deathloop is borrowing and cringe from the get go, not even the first 10 hours are fun or interesting.

    Literally one of the most over hyped game of the new generation. I just stopped playing due to boredom and the lack of meaningful engagement. The graphic are mediocre, the sound is mediocre, there's no story and it feels like it's missing something.

    I did not like Deathloop due to the following: 1. Dated Graphics, this game could have been made on PS3.     4. if you played and loved Dishonored you will hate this game.
    5. AI is beyond bad.

    This game gets boring very fast. Same repetitive gameplay. The story is uninteresting. I found myself rushing to finish the level just to see if the game would get better. I would try to play stealthily but the stealth mechanics are bad. I thought it was supposed to be like dishonored. Dishonored was awesome. Like hell is this a 10 out of 10 game.

    Despite great looking animations and overall style of the game, it is a mess.
    Repetitive as hell, you will have to do same thing over and over, I know the concept, but when you need to run throw whole location to turn a switch to run second location and get a piece of paper to make this 4 more times.     Whole story is consistent of UI mess and a tons of letter / notes and other staff that I have beed bored to read after 1st hours. Resurrection is special threat - if you die in crowded location, you will respawn in the same place, which leads to two more death and loop to reload. Please spare yourself and don’t play it.     I read all these reviews praising this game, I dont get it. This game is so cheezy. I cant get into it. I keep trying but I dont know, I loose interest within a half hour. I keep giving this game an honest try but for some reason it just doesn't do it for me. You die and return back to retry everything. Kinda like returnal.     Avoid if you are planning on using a controller. The game feels awful to play if you have a bit of experience with first person shooters. The sensitivity seems to do almost nothing when you crank it up or down, and there are no real fixes for the issue. The game might've been great if they were to fix this issue, but it is unlikely given the age if the game.

Getting spawn-camped and instantly killed from an invasion after getting hours into a run is demoralizing and just makes you want to put the game down.     The game starts off being somewhat fun, but after a while with a glitchy menu that forces you to close the game an restart all over again along with an utterly horrible UI that is supposed to help you navigate objectives an figure things out (which it fails to do most of the time) I don't find any enjoyment in the game now.

    The leads for things don't work an I guess my game is bugged now because I cannot even complete the lead for reading Franks minicom even after googling it the stupid objective will not complete at all evwn after looping the day multiple times an doing all sorts of things players have recommended. So glad I didn't pay full price for this game because I knew it would be trash coming from Bethesda.

    On top of this all you have are a bunch of reused assets that get boring to look at after a day or two don't see myself buying another thing from them at this rate as they still cannot make a game without basic features that works correctly.    … Expand

    If you're going to make a game where progress and loot is lost when you die and provide no save system, then you better make damn sure the gameplay is engaging, the story grips and the characters are likeable. NONE of this is the case here.

    By far one of the clunkiest games to come out in the last 30 years. Ai is lazy, level design is claustrophobic, and movement within the game is disastrous getting you killed more often than not. I will not be buying another game made by Arkane after experiencing this poor excuse of an IP.

    Bought the game for 35 €, hyped by the reviews…3 hours into it and I am already bored. The idea of revisiting the same maps over and over again got me frustrated already!. Boring, repetitive and frustrating.

With Deathloop, however, I cannot relate nor recommend this game. The graphics are not up to par (I find dishonored has better art direction and often looks better), the controls are abhorrent, and the gameplay loop is extremely boring.     What a convoluted mess of a game. I tried to be patient with it, I had to fight really hard to try to make it through the “tutorial” part of the game. Once the game opens up, it’s definitely better and more tolerable, but you realize that the game does not do anything well. At first I started getting into being able to enter any part of the map at any time of the day and it started to connect with me, but the more I played the more I saw the flaws in the design. The mechanic sort of feels like Majora’s Mask, where the world has NPCs that have a routine, but since time does not actually progress and you have to select the times, the four times end up feeling like four separate levels. Majora’s Mask created a better environment that felt more alive than this game, and that was 20 years ago. Then next comes the gameplay, which feels extremely clunky and awkward. Everything from the way your character moves to the way the guns handle just feels really awkward even after you get a hang of it. It makes the combat feel very unsatisfying, and it makes the stealth feel like it was designed for a PS2 era game. The AI is also atrocious, I don’t think I’ve seen AI this bad before. The entire concept of the game is pretty cool, but the execution was terrible. The plot isn’t very good, it’s just super convoluted, any time it starts to hook you a little bit it just loses you for another hour, and the world isn’t that interesting. The graphics are shockingly dated, they almost feel like an early PS4 game or high resolution PS3 game. Everything down to the controls are just confusing and not intuitive at all. Remember how bad the marketing was for this game, because no matter how many trailers they put out, you still didn’t understand it? That’s what the game feels like, except it’s not even saved by the gameplay. The voice acting is probably the only good thing about the game. It’s not unplayable by any means, but I just don’t have the time to sit there and force myself to pretend I’m having anything other than a terrible time. The fact that this game got a critic score of 86 and was nominated for GOTY, yet the user review score sits at 6.3 makes me really distrust critic reviews even more. Such lazy cash grab game development and paid for reviews it really shows. This is not game of the year. This is garbage of the year. And these devs should be ashamed of themselves for making a game with 12hr playtime and 3 hours of gameplay.

    I guess Microsoft got its unicorn. Hopefully Elderscrolls 6 doesn’t suffer the same garbage shortcut date as this pile.

    It's currently unplayable due to a bug where you cannot exit the menu. I'm waiting for a patch to fix it before playing any further. I suggest others don't buy the game until it is fixed.

    Terrible Ai. Graphics are not even close to next gen. Interesting idea but terribly executed. All I can say is lm so glad I bought the disk version because it got traded

    Everything is so unnatural. In fact, it's that bad that I can't really play the game for more than half an hour without getting motion sick. After days of playing, I slightly adapted. But the controls still feel like sh*t. This is absolutely not acceptable. How did reviewers give this game anything above a 8? It could be as fun as possible but these controls ruin everything.

    After you've gone through the first minutes and accepted the controls are terrible, you encounter something that's EVEN WORSE: The AI.

    I don't get how you could make the AI that stupid, unaware and predictable. You can walk straight past the AI, they won't notice you. Shoot people, they won't notice you. Shoot explosives into the ground next to them, they won't notice. It's that bad. Yet the AI is like everything the game has to offer? It's like start cycle, go there, slaughter AI, do X, go there, slaughter AI, do X, and so on, ..., repeat cycle, and slaughter them again. Yet killing them is the most boring, unrewarding and most unengaging gameplay you could ever imagine. The AI is so bad, you can just run through every area and just kill them as if it's cod, without any consequences. And that's not even bad, that's the only thing that's actually fun doing in the game.

    Now to the good things, respect where it's due you know:

    The characters and voice acting are amazing! They're absolutely spot on and the only thing that make this game enjoyable. Also the games design & music is actually amazing, even though the 3D audio and Graphics are very lackluster. Also gotta give credit to making use of the Dualsense. It's far from being as great as in Astros playroom or returnal, but at least makes the game a little bit more enjoyable.

    But as these are the only good things I suggest you watch a playthrough from your favorite YouTuber or streamer. You'll only miss out on the Dualsense but that's absolutely not worth spending money on. Get any other game instead.    … Expand

    another mediocre game hyped up to hell by the shill "game journalists" that is actually far below average, the story is lame its not as good as the studios other games and gameplay is just about the same as before, so if you're a fan of the gameplay only then you'l most likely enjoy this.

    It is exactly what it is. A time loop in the same 4 maps over and over again.
    After the first hours of gameplay, you will grow very tired of the mechanics of this game.
    You´ll grow so tired of it to the point of making you sick.
    I never returned to Deathloop again. And i never will.
    Go with Hades or Returnal instead. Much better.

    I liked the atmosphere of the game and the graphics were decent, didn’t have any bugs in the 6/7 hours i played and the voice acting is some of the best ever. But surface level stuff is all this game is. The stealth gameplay is ps3 level primitive and once you get some loot in the first few hours its so mind-numbingly easy it borders ridiculous.     The mission/lead setup seems novel at first but you quickly realise everyone plays exactly the same and it all takes place on 4 areas which are about the size of an average 6v6 cod map which obviously gets tedious very quickly especially as you keep having to go in and out of areas and advancing time and figuring stuff out yourself and repeating over and over and over again. It’s so unrewarding and doesn’t match the grossly outdated gameplay. The story seems decent but it’s a chore to follow with all the hoops you have to jump through just to play the game. This game feels like a £20 indie rather than a full priced headliner. Worth that price if you are willing to do almost all immersive legwork yourself and don’t mind an extremely slow paced repetitive grind. Otherwise avoid.    … Expand

    How did the critics give this a 10??? Honestly it’s not impressive and does nothing new?? This is why we don’t trust games journalist because they are not real and truthful about anything anymore!! Skip it or wait until it’s 20 dollars!

    Very over-rated by reviewers. As a fan of Arkane's Dishonored I was disappointed in the 4 small areas that need to be explored multiple times. The combat is not precise and shooting is very bad, AI of the enemies is laughable you can run rings around them so stealth is pointless. Really don't understand the 'masterpiece' reviews - this has numerous bugs, crashes to home screen, freezes &Very over-rated by reviewers. As a fan of Arkane's Dishonored I was disappointed in the 4 small areas that need to be explored multiple times.     What is wrong with media giving such high scores to this game? Prey/Dishonored were masterpieces by comparison. It's below average and boring, with reused assets and abilities. Worth a buy when it's 5$ ... maybe

    The repetitiveness is an absolute grind especially if you die late in the day losing up to an hour of game play. The bland graphics, wierd 60's style and rubbish enemies are all very mediocre especially for an 80 euro new gen game. There is a lack of atmosphere compared to Dishonoured and Prey two of my favorite games.     Not engaging and found myself having to force myself to play. Game is a shadow compared to bioshock and is essentially dishonored in clothing with a gimmick.

    This game is a disgrace to what Arkane used to put out. Worse world interactivity than Dark Messiah (a 15yo source engine game released by the same dev), worse AI than that game and Dishonored (and many other, more prolific old PC games), edgy, **** voiceacting, and PC optimisation is a joke.

    I feel like I'm not even playing the same game as those who gave it rave reviews. This is bad. It obviously borrows a lot from Bioshock, but it's controls, looks, and menus feel like it's from 2007. It's stealth mechanics are too janky to be a stealth game, it's shooting feels like you're in mud so it's a bad shooter. The menus are the worst I've ever seen in a game, I have no idea what'sI feel like I'm not even playing the same game as those who gave it rave reviews. This is bad.     Dishonored reskin. Looks like a ps3 game. Thank God we live in these times where you can actually see gameplay online as opposed to having lived 20yrs ago and buying the game randomly and hoping it doesn’t suck. This is a hard pass for me.

    I'm a few hours into this now, and i'm.. bored? The FPS shooter stuff feels very last gen and not interesting, the game world feels dull, the AI is average, the story isn't all that interesting. I'm probably in the minority, but I don't feel compelled to boot up the PS5 and carry on with this.

    I feel like I'm missing something with this game.

    Basically HITMAN "find target" mechanic with some Dishonored gun feeling.
    Pretty bad. I'd give it a 4 but i wanna lower this to 0 so people bombing it to 10 stop fanboying over a game that adds nothing new to the table since hitman already did it.

    An obvious glorified reskin, IGN's 10 is enough to set off alarm-bells.....what looks like a 10 about this game? Maybe an 8.5 at the top range...more likely a 7-8.
    Boring, too easy and with a very last gen aesthetic and many technical issues.
    Massively disappointing.

    A bit samey to other Arkane's games. I didn't enjoy it as much as I hope. I rather play something like Wolfenstein than this. The graphics is clearly outdated.

    Buyer Beware! The random freezes and crashes this game experiences are very frustrating as you are not able to save mid missions. You will loose alot of progress. While the game has potential I highly recommend waiting a while before purchasing as the freezing will ruin the experience. I returned for a refund

    i finished the game it was so easy. Once you unlock some things like invisibility or multi-kill it's very boring. It's really doesn't worth the money. I don't understand why IGN gave it a 10/10 Masterpiece. This game is crap!

    Deathloop offers well-designed stealth levels under the core gameplay of Roguelike. At the same time, the variety of weapons and special powers also support the exciting combat. Julianna's "invasion" adds the uncertainty of the game, but may also spoil the player's experience.

    I’m honestly surprised, because I did not expect to have so much fun with Deathloop. It draws some gameplay ideas from Dishonored, but introduces time-related mechanics, offers an intriguing story with interesting characters and has its own unique and coherent style. It’s an original game, full of surprises and addictive, but not necessarily easily digestible for everyone. For me however it’s one of the best titles of 2021. [11/2021, p.22]

    Deathloop is Arkane at its best, combining its system-driven immersive-sim gameplay with a unique and fascinating story set-up. Excellent presentation and style, along with fantastic dialogue and character performances makes Deathloop one of the most innovative games in years and a valuable PS5 exclusive.
