Fear no more because CD Projekt Red is back and this time, they ensured that they're are going to make everything right from the get-go and yet, they did. Cyberpunk 2077 is finally out on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and... it's finally playable! The game feels smooth all around, the audio is vastly engaging and lifelike, and the visuals are enhanced with actual detail that cannot be compared to last gen. There can be a quip of minor animation bugs that involves walking animations from peds, but everything else aside, CDPR managed to fix what is wrong to right and they were right. Therefore, Cyberbug 2077 is now called Cyberpunk 2077 and thank God the game is finally in its playable state that feels quite refreshing. Expand

Awful game. Worse than most games made by Rockstar, Remedy, Capcom, Ubisoft, Tango Gameworks, Visceral Games and so on. Don't waste your money on this amateurish game and instead play something great made by companies i mentioned.

It is finally getting there. Game's good story wise and the city is fun to explore. Sure, it is not as deep as a Rockstar-made city and it has definitely got flaws, but the improvement is visible and Cyberpunk feels fleshed out with new mechanics and decent AI.

If you like Deus Ex, the Cyberpunk genre, or story-character rich open world games, then you will likely enjoy this game. Beautiful world, compelling story, charming characters, satisfying gun play, and a killer soundtrack.

After patch 1.5, in terms of open world games, Cyberpunk 2077 is close to top tier. It's no GTA V, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon, or Witcher 3; but it's certainly way better than Watch Dogs, Far Cry, Saints Row, Assassins Creed, Ghost Recon, Fallout 4, and even Elder Scrolls, which has not aged well.

Don't listen to the bad reviews. They're just bitter shut-ins who will never forgive CD Projekt Red. Did they release the game too early? Of course. But get over it and give credit where it's due. Games are incredibly difficult to make and nobody else is trying to make a cyberpunk game on this grand of a scale.

Solid 8.5 game. Pros: Nice graphs, very, very good story (Keanu Reaves is playing a big and major role). Amazing music and sound. Its generally a fun game to play especially main story.
Cons: Still a bit buggy. There are some graphical issues, and night city is a dead city. Not much you can do at it. And overwhelming UI and badly designed menus.

There's nothing to do in that city and whole game is buggy, it's very obvious that nudity is main reason why people go crazy for this game and that is pathetic, because like i said GTA 5 had nudity already in 2013, but that was just one of the features. That was never the reason why GTA 5 was actually amazing game, nudity was just one of 1000 other features in that game. But in Cyberpunk, that seems to be only draw for people. I swear, if cyberpunk 2077 didn't have nudity, most of these people wouldn't even care for this game. Watch Dogs is better Cyberpunk game than Cyberpunk 2077 in every way possible, but it doesn't have dating, so these losers automatically ignore that game. That's my main issue. They don't want good open world games or in other words they don't even care what these games have (very clearly, because they were completely okay that AI was extremely outdated, that traffic didn't work, that police system didn't work, etc.) They didn't care about any of that. All they wanted was dating simulator and that's just pathetic. 8 years of development and hype for buggy dating simulator. Expand

This game is definitely a 8.5-9.5 for sure. I had to give it a 10 to off-set the ‘still’ angry children out there having review tantrums and giving it 0.

If you are not into or are not expecting a GTA game, then it is a must buy! While there are occasional bugs, it’s about par for the course on open world type games. I found the cityscape to be immersive enough, dialogue and genuine feel

I found the cityscape to be immersive enough, dialogue and genuine feel of that Neuromancer vibe brought to life. The combat was fulfilling and very customizable, still not smooth like a Destiny or Apex but better than Deathloop. Regarding content, there was just enough things to distract me from the main quests. I enjoyed a lot of them and found them generally on par with the Witcher. If you are more of Mass Effect person than GTA, I’d get it 100% and feel no regrets. Bravo CDPR.

This patch didn't fix pretty much anything that i was expecting. I don't care about new hairstyles or apartments, these were never the issue. What needs fixing is bugs, police chase system, better pathfinding for AI and stuff like that. Guitar playing should be minigame like guitar hero, etc.

Cyberpunk 2077 was in development about 8 years and was hyped to moon and back during all these years, meanwhile every other game that had even slight bugs, got tons of hate and replies like "Awful developers, Cyberpunk 2077 will never launch as buggy as these others games, because Cyberpunk 2077 developers actually care about their games" and in it's launch trailer it was promoted asCyberpunk 2077 was in development about 8 years and was hyped to moon and back during all these years, meanwhile every other game that had even slight bugs, got tons of hate and replies like "Awful developers, Cyberpunk 2077 will never launch as buggy as these others games, because Cyberpunk 2077 developers actually care about their games" and in it's launch trailer it was promoted as "Next Generation of Open World Games".

All that was absolute lie and everyone involved in Cyberpunk 2077 development knew that it was big fat lie. PC version was missing tons of promised features, traffic AI and NPC AI was in 2001 video game level. I had so many bugs already in first 10 minutes. City is literally lifeless and empty and no amount of patches will fix that, unless they remake the whole game. Console versions were even worse. Cars and NPC's appearing and disappearing randomly in front of you, assets not loading in and so on.

"oh look, now two years later they added patch where you an re-color your apartment". This is not enough and this is not okay. This kind of game development has to end. This is most fair 0 out of 10 i have given to any game ever!

Off the top of my head I can’t think of another game with a backstory like Cyberpunk 2077. It’s fortunate that CDPR were able to spend the last year-plus continuing development of the game, listening to feedback, adding content, and fixing tons and tons of issues. Many games would simply not have gotten the extra time and money spent that Cyberpunk got, but this time CDPR got it right. Now is the right time to play this game; I’m not saying it’s flawless and perfect, but it’s nearly so, for such an elaborate, massive game. This is the game we were hoping for back in December 2020, but I’m reminded of the adage ‘better late than never.’ And that certainly applies here.

Despite significant technical and in-play improvements for this PS5 version, much of the game’s core remains unchanged. Quest design and storytelling, though not without their moments on the critical path, too often feel rife with unrealised potential. Cyberpunk 2077’s abrasive personality is still clear as day too, inescapable in its script and blaring out from Night City’s many questionable billboards. If you choose to venture into Night City, we hope you find what you’re looking for. [Issue#12, p.72]

Despite its mismanaged launch, Cyberpunk is a success story. What began in December 2020 as an incomplete, often-unplayable sore spot for CD Projekt has become one of the most immersive RPGs I’ve ever played – one whose visuals, soundtrack, and narrative can go toe to toe with the strongest in the genre. Despite Cyberpunk’s technical headaches, I’ve enjoyed more than 40 hours in it and don’t see myself losing interest in its rich world or side content anytime soon. Cyberpunk’s botched beginnings warranted the scorn players treated it with, but if patch 1.5 is any indication, Night City’s future looks bright.
