    Modernized nostalgic bomb stuffed with tons of content. Toys for Bob did it brilliantly again. I just want to know one thing: when will we get GEX? [Issue#310]

    At its heart, this is the same Crash Bandicoot 4 that we loved last year when it came to PS4. The improved loading times alone are enough to make the PS5 version stand out, and the enhanced visuals are an added treat, seeing Crash in native 4K at 60 fps. Additional PS5 features round out the package, but as I played, it was mostly just the improved loading that really stuck out to me as the defining feature of this next-gen port.

    A lot of effort went into creating distinctive worlds, and they help the game constantly feel fresh and fun. Really, that could be the tagline for Crash 4: fresh and fun. It may be based on a franchise that started a few decades and generations ago, but this new entry feels resolutely modern. It’s a wonderful addition to a series that you’re sure to enjoy, regardless of whether you’ve been waiting for it for many years, or you’re coming to Crash Bandicoot for the first time.

    Running on the new console, It's About Time just looks excellent. The cartoonish art style, with its bright colours, clean lines, and expressive animation, is absolutely gorgeous at 4K resolution. While it isn't using HDR (as far as we know), it still really sings on a 4K display. What's more, the game is locked at 60 frames-per-second on PS5, running buttery smooth regardless of how chaotic things get.

    After playing the mediocre N.Sane Trilogy (they are obviously aged games now, despite the hits they used to be), you can feel the hugeAfter playing the mediocre N.Sane Trilogy (they are obviously aged games now, despite the hits they used to be), you can feel the huge improvement on this one. Crash 4 is a really good platformer which is incredibly better than it's predecessors and even better on PS5.

    The best change is: the enhanced controls. They are so smooth and feel way better. Also, they have added an indicator below Crash for you to know where he is when he is airborne minimizing the depth problem which was really annoying in the trilogy.

    Also, the game has funny characters, and stunning visuals. The performance and visuals on PS5 are just astonishing.

    The game though is challenging, especially in the last levels of the game. And if you want to 100%, well yeah... Good luck with that.

    I bough this game on sale because I wasn't sure if I would like it but I definetely enjoyed it a lot. It's not the platformer out there for sure, but it's really good for the genre.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. OMG this game is absolute trash!!! It is by far one of the worst ps5 experiences that I have ever had. Let me tell you why though. The controls are terrible!! So many times where I failed a jump out of my **** control because of the floaty as hell jumping! The music is INCREDIBLY BORING. The box placement is nothing short of pure EVIL. Like seriously though it is so horrible to come to the end of a long 15 minute level just to miss one **** box at the very end. The flashback tapes remind me of the n brio bonus stages of crash 1 (in a horrible way) the new gimmicks are treated like necessities rather than optional goodies like in crash 3. The 3 deaths or less gem!!!!!! BY FAR THE WORST GEM IN CRASH HISTORY! The blue gem challenge sucks ass, the coloured gem gauntlets (mostly) suck ESPECIALLY THE ONE FOR TOXIC TUNNELS!!!! The funny and hilarious death animations are gone forever and replaced by resident evil-like deaths. The humor is cringy and makes me want to kill my ps5 just to remove the horrible taste of the crash 4 humor. The inverted levels are nothing short of padding to artificially extend the game run-time. The relics are the worst in the series because of the useless-as-butt triple spin power-down (You expected me to say power-up?) which will turn your fingers into jelly. And the ENDING!!!! **** the ending of this game as it is the most anti-climactic ending in video-game history. These stupid, idiotic and brainless critics are lying to you. Take their reviews with a pinch of salt. Play the n sane trilogy instead. It is the true king of crash platformers. Hell, play Wrath of Cortex instead it is 10000000000 times better than that stupid horrible and sadistic abomination of a 3d platformer. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!! TRUST ME IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!… Expand
