    Some chalenges are extreme difficult to complete. It made me anxious. It is realy frustrating.

    Trophy list is unforgivably bad. Trophies tied to time trials with far too stringent criteria is something many people don’t want anything to do with.

    I simply cannot ignore the disrespect this game dishes out. The level design not even HALFWAY into the game is cruel and sadistic. Hidden boxes are everywhere and the levels are long as hell. Box pacement is downright harsh and nasty. And the hitboxes on the vehicle sections are so off making completion even more frustrating. Toys For Bob, dont expect me to be perfect at your **** game if you didnt take the time to test it and perfect your 'precision platforming'. You guys just cant make a good game that feels right and you should stick to making titles no one cares about. Legit this game gave me cancer because it is HELL to play.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. OMG this game is absolute trash!!! It is by far one of the worst ps5 experiences that I have ever had. Let me tell you why though. The controls are terrible!! So many times where I failed a jump out of my **** control because of the floaty as hell jumping! The music is INCREDIBLY BORING. The box placement is nothing short of pure EVIL. Like seriously though it is so horrible to come to the end of a long 15 minute level just to miss one **** box at the very end. The flashback tapes remind me of the n brio bonus stages of crash 1 (in a horrible way) the new gimmicks are treated like necessities rather than optional goodies like in crash 3. The 3 deaths or less gem!!!!!! BY FAR THE WORST GEM IN CRASH HISTORY! The blue gem challenge sucks ass, the coloured gem gauntlets (mostly) suck ESPECIALLY THE ONE FOR TOXIC TUNNELS!!!! The funny and hilarious death animations are gone forever and replaced by resident evil-like deaths. The humor is cringy and makes me want to kill my ps5 just to remove the horrible taste of the crash 4 humor. The inverted levels are nothing short of padding to artificially extend the game run-time. The relics are the worst in the series because of the useless-as-butt triple spin power-down (You expected me to say power-up?) which will turn your fingers into jelly. And the ENDING!!!! **** the ending of this game as it is the most anti-climactic ending in video-game history. These stupid, idiotic and brainless critics are lying to you. Take their reviews with a pinch of salt. Play the n sane trilogy instead. It is the true king of crash platformers. Hell, play Wrath of Cortex instead it is 10000000000 times better than that stupid horrible and sadistic abomination of a 3d platformer. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!! TRUST ME IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!… Expand

    Wow one of the 10s on here is a literal employee rating their game they supposedly "didn't play". Talk about knowing your game isn't very good. Lmao.
    The entire thing is filled with glitches and weird jump controls and camera angles. I recommend grabbing it free on plus like I did this month or skipping this one til it's $10 or less.     I'm writing this review mainly as a warning to parents who might want to buy the game for their children. Don't do this if you do not want to harm the child. This game is the opposite of what it looks like on the surface - a nice cheerful fun. It's actually an evil frustration simulator.

    I've played a number of difficult games, but never anything like Crash Bandicoot 4. If I managed to accidentally pass a level after many attempts, it was only through sheer luck, so I didn't even feel any satisfaction.
    The original Crash games were very difficult, but still playable for a normal person. This one is only for speedrunners and similar hardcore gamers. Unfortunately, if the developers made the game just a little bit accessible, there would be hateful comments from this type of people everywhere. So in fear of them, the developers have made them practically the only target category of their game.
    The game might have deserved an extra star for its nice graphics, but because it's so awful in gameplay, I have to give it the lowest score.    … Expand

    This is just one giant trial and error. Everything you do requires you to first get killed and then memorize the entire level. The camera is awfully angled 100% of the time. Depth perception isn't something that can be had with this. The rewards for winning are more challenges, and the "challenge" is just trial and error. I personally really enjoy challenging games, but making a platformer 100% memory is a strange move. Also, things like Tawna's hookshot, and especially the wall jump just sometimes don't work.     Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is a great game. Although its difficulty can be frustrating and some lengthy sequences are tedious, the world design is crisp and filled with humour, the levels overflow with creativity and most importantly, completing a level is satisfying. The plot is thin, but the cartoony vibes provoke a great mix of nostalgia and charm. The PlayStation 5 upgrade significantly improves load times and takes the game's visuals to another level. Crash fans have much to love in this long-awaited sequel. Although newcomers to the series may be turned off by how punishing the game can be, this title is an adventure worth embarking on.

    Modernized nostalgic bomb stuffed with tons of content. Toys for Bob did it brilliantly again. I just want to know one thing: when will we get GEX? [Issue#310]

    A very pretty and slick platformer that runs beautifully on PS5. Use of the console’s unique features are limited, but it’s still well worth playing. [Issue#187, p.80]
