    While I have not played this game , it's a masterpiece from Activision publishing , toys for bob put so much love to make fans of crash bandicoot happy

    Some chalenges are extreme difficult to complete. It made me anxious. It is realy frustrating.

    The most frustrating game I have ever played. Instead of satisfaction I felt a big relief when I beated the main campaign and final boss.
    I love Crash but this one was really "stupid hard" . I recomend it to masochistic players.

    Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is the long-awaited sequel to the original Naughty Dog-developed trilogy of classic games released 20+ years ago on the original Playstation. That's a miracle considering that Crash Bandicoot was a dead franchise for the past decade or so thanks to Vivendi and Activision having released a multitude of games ranging from mediocre to awful (not unlike SonicCrash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is the long-awaited sequel to the original Naughty Dog-developed trilogy of classic games released 20+ years ago on the original Playstation. That's a miracle considering that Crash Bandicoot was a dead franchise for the past decade or so thanks to Vivendi and Activision having released a multitude of games ranging from mediocre to awful (not unlike Sonic the Hedgehog, I'm afraid). Then the unthinkable happened, with Activision releasing a remake of the original Playstation games (The N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled) and re-igniting interest in the series. I grew up with Crash Bandicoot and I'm thankful for the existence of this exquisite 4th game.

    Gameplay is a return to form for the series, with new abilities such as wall jump, wall running, dimension-swapping, and even a few more playable characters with different playstyles. You have to break all boxes in order to unlock gems and whatnot, but you won't be able to do all these things until you progress far into the game and acquire more abilities. After you beat a level you can replay it with a time attack mode or the so-called "N. Verted mode" where you run through the inverted level plus graphical filters that change the look and feel of the level. In other words, if you wanna 100% this game you will have to replay all the levels many, many times.

    Don't let the cartoony graphics fool you, this is a tough platformer to play. I'd say difficulty is somewhere in-between the 1st and 2nd games. It's not as hardcore as the infamous 1st game, but it's no Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped-style walk in the park either where you could beat most levels on 1st try without dying once. Even if you don't attempt to break all crates and expose your character to danger, expect to die at least 5 times on each level on the 1st try on this new game (if you aim to break all the boxes expect to die 10+ times). The bosses are cool, too, not too far away from the boss fights of the first games.

    Graphics are very nice, although I'd like Crash Bandicoot's design to be closer to a teenager/young adult aesthetic (more in-line with how Crash Bandicoot used to be a teenager/young adult icon back in the day) than this kid-friendly look that somehow annoys me. On PS5 the game runs at 60 fps and renders at 4K with dynamic scaling. Added bonuses are the 3D Audio through a headset and the DualSense's haptics and adaptive triggers. All in all, this is the best version of the game.

    I'm still playing through Crash Bandicoot 4 and it's a joy to revisit one of my favorite franchises. I definitely recommend this game to any platformer fan, especially considering that nowadays platformers are not exactly abundant.    … Expand

    Trophy list is unforgivably bad. Trophies tied to time trials with far too stringent criteria is something many people don’t want anything to do with.

    El mejor de la saga, fantástico visualmente, maravilloso diseño de niveles y una dificultad altísima pero justa, mientras lo jugaba no podía dejar de pensar "es increíble que este juego exista en pleno 2020"

La dificultad es buena si quieres coger todas las cajas y hacer las “cintas” o misiones ocultas, puedes morir decenas de veces..! Mola! Sobre la actualizacion de PS5 ( la verdad que en la anterior generacion se ve muy bien) solidos 60fps y un 4K espectacular.     After playing the mediocre N.Sane Trilogy (they are obviously aged games now, despite the hits they used to be), you can feel the huge improvement on this one. Crash 4 is a really good platformer which is incredibly better than it's predecessors and even better on PS5.

    The best change is: the enhanced controls. They are so smooth and feel way better.     I bough this game on sale because I wasn't sure if I would like it but I definetely enjoyed it a lot. It's not the platformer out there for sure, but it's really good for the genre.    … Expand

    It's a very well made game, for sure, but it's also freaking frustrating to a nonsense level. Challenges are good, but this is too much, in my opinion.
    Anyway, I loved the redesign of the characters and the story was cute too. I'm having fun playing it just because I decided it's not worth to go for completion and lose my sanity

    I simply cannot ignore the disrespect this game dishes out. The level design not even HALFWAY into the game is cruel and sadistic. Hidden boxes are everywhere and the levels are long as hell. Box pacement is downright harsh and nasty. And the hitboxes on the vehicle sections are so off making completion even more frustrating. There are so many glaring flaws here when trying to complete theI simply cannot ignore the disrespect this game dishes out. The level design not even HALFWAY into the game is cruel and sadistic. Hidden boxes are everywhere and the levels are long as hell. Box pacement is downright harsh and nasty. And the hitboxes on the vehicle sections are so off making completion even more frustrating. Toys For Bob, dont expect me to be perfect at your **** game if you didnt take the time to test it and perfect your 'precision platforming'. You guys just cant make a good game that feels right and you should stick to making titles no one cares about. Legit this game gave me cancer because it is HELL to play.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. OMG this game is absolute trash!!! It is by far one of the worst ps5 experiences that I have ever had. Let me tell you why though. The controls are terrible!! So many times where I failed a jump out of my **** control because of the floaty as hell jumping! The music is INCREDIBLY BORING. The box placement is nothing short of pure EVIL. Like seriously though it is so horrible to come to the end of a long 15 minute level just to miss one **** box at the very end. The flashback tapes remind me of the n brio bonus stages of crash 1 (in a horrible way) the new gimmicks are treated like necessities rather than optional goodies like in crash 3. The 3 deaths or less gem!!!!!! BY FAR THE WORST GEM IN CRASH HISTORY! The blue gem challenge sucks ass, the coloured gem gauntlets (mostly) suck ESPECIALLY THE ONE FOR TOXIC TUNNELS!!!! The funny and hilarious death animations are gone forever and replaced by resident evil-like deaths. The humor is cringy and makes me want to kill my ps5 just to remove the horrible taste of the crash 4 humor. The inverted levels are nothing short of padding to artificially extend the game run-time. The relics are the worst in the series because of the useless-as-butt triple spin power-down (You expected me to say power-up?) which will turn your fingers into jelly. And the ENDING!!!! **** the ending of this game as it is the most anti-climactic ending in video-game history. These stupid, idiotic and brainless critics are lying to you. Take their reviews with a pinch of salt. Play the n sane trilogy instead. It is the true king of crash platformers. Hell, play Wrath of Cortex instead it is 10000000000 times better than that stupid horrible and sadistic abomination of a 3d platformer. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!     De los mejores juegos plataforma que hay, una mejora tanto visual como de jugabilidad con toda la esencia de los crash bandicoot de PSONE, niveles que conforme te acercas al final va aumentando la dificultad donde tienes que mejorar en cada fallo, retos muy dificiles con logros bastante complicados de hacer y bastante rejugable cada nivel ya que hay secretos en cada nivel para obtener el 100 %.

    Fantastic addition to the Crash series! I love the idea of unlocking a new skin in each level, tons of replayability. A fair warning that more casual gamers will definitely struggle with the last 1/3rd of the game, it gets pretty brutal (but awesome)

    Una de las cosas que me preocupaban al jugar un juego de Crash no desarrollado por Naughty Dog era el de jugar un juego sin escencia asi como lo eran los juegos de Crash y los titanes. Y no me equivoque, a pesar de que Crash 4 es el crash mas cercano al trabajo de los creadores de Uncharted, es notable que el juego pierde mucho de su esencia sobre todo en los controles y en el ritmo delUna de las cosas que me preocupaban al jugar un juego de Crash no desarrollado por Naughty Dog era el de jugar un juego sin escencia asi como lo eran los juegos de Crash y los titanes. Crash 4 tiene multiples problemas de platforming y diseño de niveles, crash 4 es un juego dificil pero frustrante, esa dificultad que sabes que no es tu culpa si no que mueres por el mal diseño del juego. El modo retro es inutil ya que el juego esta hecho para que mueras una y otra vez y las 4 a 5 vidas que tienes son ridículas en este sentido pues hay niveles que de plano llegas a juntar hasta 100 muertes. Y no, no soy un manco ya que me pasaba battletoads y demon souls con una vida, pero creo que la dificultad debe de ir acompañada con diversión y no solo con frustración y es ahi donde crash 4 falla. Crash 4 es buen juego pero un juego que no esta ala altura de crash 3 por su diversión. Gráficamente cumple, aunque juegos como ratchet se ven y se siente mejor. Aunque debo decir que valoro el esfuerzo por hacer aun juego de plataformas 3d en estos tiempos y aunque tenga sus errores e sun juego que considera que los amantes del genero deben tener.… Expand

    I've played a number of difficult games, but never anything like Crash Bandicoot 4. If I managed to accidentally pass a level after many attempts, it was only through sheer luck, so I didn't even feel any satisfaction.
    The original Crash games were very difficult, but still playable for a normal person. This one is only for speedrunners and similar hardcore gamers. Unfortunately, if the developers made the game just a little bit accessible, there would be hateful comments from this type of people everywhere. So in fear of them, the developers have made them practically the only target category of their game.
    The game might have deserved an extra star for its nice graphics, but because it's so awful in gameplay, I have to give it the lowest score.    … Expand

    A classic jump’n run comes to the new generation. Looks great, plays great, better than ever before. Playing as Coco is such a great addition, I’m really appreciate it, as well as the free PS5 upgrade.

    Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is a great game. Although its difficulty can be frustrating and some lengthy sequences are tedious, the world design is crisp and filled with humour, the levels overflow with creativity and most importantly, completing a level is satisfying. The plot is thin, but the cartoony vibes provoke a great mix of nostalgia and charm. The PlayStation 5 upgrade significantly improves load times and takes the game's visuals to another level. Crash fans have much to love in this long-awaited sequel. Although newcomers to the series may be turned off by how punishing the game can be, this title is an adventure worth embarking on.
