    Campaign is okay.
    But MP is terrible.
    - respawning needs huge work - too much map that doesn’t fit games pace
    - guns…tooo much grinding
    Overalls.
    - I regret buying this game and deluxe edition. But its COD franchise just gotta move on. But i am disappointed I hope they fix some issues now I highly recommend not to buy this game.    … Expand

    Disgusted by how many cheaters for a new game. Servers are soo bad. Spawn points are a joke. Worst game I've played in a long time. Don't waste your money.

    This game is supposed to be set in WW2, but is just as unhistorical as it can get. Single-player is even worse than in CoD:WW2. Multi-player is ok. Game has a lot of bugs and feels unfinished.

    What absolute cabbage. Such regrets buying this, Im attempting a refund now. I recommend Warzone, free to play and actually fun.

    Worst Call of Duty to date. The lack of development really shows. Most of the games code is a copy & paste job just like Cold War is. There is nothing what so ever original about this game. The maps are absolutely terrible. The spawn points are trash. Zombie mode is laughable at best, it has absolutely no content. The constant packet burst lag is terrible.     A new game of the saga but is almost the same that cold war only better graphics, also its duration of campaign is so short about 7 hours or 8 only

    At this point it's a copy and paste game year in, year out. The only good thing I can say about COD nowadays is that the single player is decent and for the most part is decent most years however the multiplayer is stale. I was bored after a few MP games on Vanguard (when the servers decided not to be poor..) because I've played this same rinse and repeat gameplay the last few year.At this point it's a copy and paste game year in, year out.     The amount of release titles this series has is beyond belief and for the past few year it's fallen out of touch with what made the first few original games so good.

    I used to be a 'COD fanboy' but as I'm not a kid anymore (unlike the mindset of many adults nowadays) it's quite obvious the gameplay isn't something they're looking to improve on but just change the graphics, add a few guns, some DLC content to make the guns look cool and fancy.    … Expand

    Vangaurd was twos steps back from MW 2019. Spawns broken. Graphics worse and muddier. Weapon balancing all time low. Disappointing maps and unplayable servers, with crashing connectivity issues. Played on XSX and PS5. Buyer beware. I recommend not buying this game. If you have to, buy used and return it within the week, to see for yourself.

The actual narrative and cosmetic content of the game is a disgrace to any event that may have occurred in real life. The characters have no British representation to slap the face of three million soldiers, four hundred thousand dead, and seventy thousand civilian casualties. The campaign basically says all sorts of war crimes are fine because Nazi's are less than human which is a little ironic in my opinion. Finally gun customization says **** it to actual firearms mechanics and devices that customization only need to look cool and not be theoretically functional.… Expand

    like 70% of the negative reviews are just negative reviews with no actual basis as to why it's negative.

    the game is fun, i enjoy it alot. The gunsmith is weird but fun, to see how you can change guns into monstrosities. I think most of the people that leave the negative reviews are just bad at the game smh.

    The best thing about this game is that it’s playable. Trash story, garbage zombies and a bad MP. Oh and also infinite micro transactions. I don’t care that this is an alternate reality of WWII, this is insulting and embarrassing. Activision please die already and give everything up to Microsoft.

    Its typical COD gameplay, nothing rly new, historical accuracy is below 0, amount of propaganda and political correctness is overwhelming and really hurts so I don't know what was the point in making this game the way it is. Got it on sale and im glad i didn't paid full price, not worth it. Even on sale i think i overpaid.

    Even when COD is same every year they managed to make worst COD ever! Bad visibility make game campery only, terrible spawn points and pointless kill streak spamming make this game really annoying. Adding forgetable campaign and bad instance of zombies make it even worse :(

    Very disappointing COD, just a load of bad decisions. I'm here for multiplayer & it's not fun at all. Endless fire & kill streaks that you can't see the enemy, you have to rely on the name tag (including the fact that the enemy may look exactly like your teammates.
    Maybe it'll improve 6 months from release date, but at this time I regret the purchase.

    Modern Warfare series is always a surprise. WW2 was really good. But this game is a rorced cod part. There is 1 or 2 good moments in the campaign. The Zombie mode is the most boring part from the cod zombies series. Multiplayer is a beginner level multiplayer. And the graphics is as good as Black Ops on PS3. I swear it!

The game's extremely buggy, has one of the worst zombies modes in the entire series, poor characters, and a bad story in general that seemed to be very political with character choices. They don’t care about the product, justWW2 again. Totally not seen before in 5+ other games in this franchise! Take a bow sledgehammer you've somehow managed to dethrone advanced warfare as the worst game in the series. You were already at the bottom of the barrel and yet you figured out a way to add a sub basement.     Empty matches, horrible respawn system, a lot of graphic glitches and low resolution textures. The gunplay is terrible broken. They need to fix this game soon or I will drop it and get back to Cold War.

Still didn’t get the game, as I didn’t fall for that, so I tried the free weekend trial and omg this games is trash, as expected. All the **** implementations from mw 2019, to no-ones surprise, are still there. First off the maps are garbage and trying to implement blitz mode was the worst idea possible as it just causes more spawn issues than the game already has on normal pacing. The guns are broken and can easily take out anyone and even the gun you get at the first level can be the most powerful gun in the game. On top of all this the weapons are like black ops 4 mixed in with world war 2 and mixing futuristic with old doesn't work because the gun balance is extremely shifted to the laser beam weapons.     chaos everywhere everytime, continuous bombing with infinite camera shaking, flames everywhere, smoke everywhere, gas everywhere, thermite everywhere, overpowered shotguns and dogs, making any multiplayer match just annoying and not fun.
    There isn't a single match where you can actually see your enemies due to all flames and smoke. But of course they do, don't know why.
    Guns are so damn bad to use, especially on first levels: you always need to fully level it up to unlock attachments that make them viable. Until last level they are garbage or almost.
    Shipment is now on a crippled version on TWO DIFFERENT LAYERS, never seen anything so dumb in my life before (in last years any old map ported to new CoD games has been ruined).
    I could go on, but I'm so sick of this game that I stop here.

    This game has sense only if played to unlock/level up guns for Warzone.
    Most of the time, not even that way.

    Save your money, buy anything else.

    The destroyable walls are the worst thing after SBMM. Useless.
    Weapons have more options then use. Unplayable. I would give one point cause it looks good, but sadly Activision is full of sex offender (hope thats the englisch werden) so thats 0 points

Previous COD’s gave you a good 15-30 seconds to get into position before running into an enemy but Vanguard decided that the player needed to jump into the action right away, whether they are ready or not. It’s just awful.

    Many of the weapons are currently broken. Meanwhile, the “sweats” all use the same load out and attachments and why not? You won’t have much luck getting kills in this game unless you use the STG44, MP40, Or the Type 100. Hopefully we won’t have to wait long before we get some weapon buff/nerf patches to even things out. The new “blitz” game mode is exactly as advertised… sheer chaos. With the game already suffering when it comes to fair spawn locations, adding smaller maps and larger teams just make the game even more frustrating. A lot of players have resorted to camping and head glitching to get ahead in this game. Of course, nothing new in the COD universe but as I said before, coupled with the many bugs, glitches and poor game mechanics, it’s a recipe for disaster. There are some good aspects of the game however… the weapon customization is decent. The graphics are gorgeous as always and the game is nicely optimized for PC players. When it comes to Vanguard however, the cons heavily outweigh the pros. I’m optimistic about what the future can hold for Vanguard but the devs really need to buckle down and fix a lot of the flaws this game has.    … Expand

    Played pretty much every cod and this is the only one I requested a refund on and got, which demonstrates how bad it is. I found the maps to be rather boring and ill thought out and the game just didn’t feel or play like a COD game should. So honestly save your money and continue to play MW and black ops and give this junk a miss. I just hope they don’t mess up on the up comming MW2. I would rather a cod released every 3 years and it play great with quality maps then rushing for a yearly game which is just insulting and irritating to play and clearly a cash grab I only have given it 2 out of 10 as graphically it looks nice on the Series X but that’s as far as it goes on positive points… Expand

    12 VS 12 in an extremely small map = extremely chaotic
    COD trying to show players what WWII really looks like, but the game looks dirty in many ways that you could think of.

The Multi-player is boring. Maps are repetitive, zombies Is an absolute joke. Do not waste any money on this trash. I'm so happy I got a refund.

    Vanguard could have been a good game, but lags, packet burst & dev error 5573 make it frustrating to play! The Story is too short. But the worst part is, there is no RB Zombies and no Easter Egg! Very very disappointing! 80€ for an unfinished game. Definetly too much! Im done!

    I wasted 65 dollars for this game as avid lover of the call of duty franchise. I've put up with the worse and by far this has to be the worst call of duty I've ever played. This games a joke. The multiplayer I find enjoyable and quite fun. Until you get your cheeks clapped and pummeled by the STG-44 with vital. Or the 2 shot kill BAR. The time to die is let alone cheeks but then you allow a 2 shot kill gun no way. I've tried not using meta I played 2 weeks in with the LMG42 and had a positive kd (1 .14). And was having fun but did not enjoy getting clapped by low levels in 1v1 situations by a gun who fist pumped me to the other side of the moon with VITAL. They've lowered the skill gap to let your casual player have more fun while also punishing the experienced player who's put time day by day hour to hour grinding the game. The multiplayer would be good if they just removed vital. That would make the guns balanced. AND THE WORST OF THE WORST ZOMBIES OMG THE ZOMBIES.

    All I'm going to say is I'm absolutely devastated. Zombies was the thing to get on after you got bored of multiplayer then get back on multiplayer as a fun rotation cycle. But the zombies this year was just boring no Easter egg, no wonder weapon, no packer-punch camo skin. Like come on wtf COD. AND JUST MAP AT LAUNCH, NO ROUNDBASED MAPS. I've played it multiple times to force my self to like it. But just experience dread and pain as the other zombies players in our public matches. The only time I have fun playing this game is hearing others complain about zombies in my match. And how there only playing to use the camos on multiplayer.

    I would rate MP in the following order:
    - MW 2019
    - CW --- - VG (this) In general - this is the worst MP experience i have had in call of duty. Bad sounds, awful graphics, no weapon balance, terrible map design, a lot of broken stuff like spawn points etc. They somehow managed to fail shipment map(sic!) Game in general - bad, Sledgehammer games just cannot make Call of Duty Game.    I would rate MP in the following order:

    Call of Duty: Vanguard is a great Call of Duty entry with absolutely stellar ser pieces, fantastic visuals, and plenty of modes surrounding an excellently fun campaign. The only downsides are the muddied stories… not to mention what is happening in the company that published it. Highly recommended for CoD fans and people looking for a bit of mindless fun set in WW2.

    Even though the campaign is extremely predictable and the multiplayer is plagued with tones of issues, Call Of Duty: Vanguard is, after all, still a Call of Duty title, and will appeal to all hardcore Call of Duty fans.
