    This game has SBMM that is making the game so unenjoyable to play if ur anything over a new player level. One simple fix would be to remove SBMM and it adds variety to the gaming experience.

    I have never been more disappointed in a COD production in my life. I have owned every COD since COD 3 and I can say that this is by far the worst. I am a pretty good player and often play call of duty with one of the top 100 fortnight players in the world and we can honestly say no one should buy this game. I give them credit for the zombies and campaign which were great but theirI have never been more disappointed in a COD production in my life. That is why fortnight died out and so will this game. It already is! The movement mechanics are terrible and notice how fewer and fewer streamers are playing the multiplayer. Just like how wildcat stated in his stream earlier today in response to someone in the chat asked him to play more call of duty, "No, its a trash game". Good luck COD.     Worst Call of Duty in the series.... I’ll be trading this pile of garbage in ASAP and I guess finding something else to play while waiting for, hopefully, a fantastic Battlefield game to arrive. I will never buy another Treyarch COD game ever again. Good job rushing this game out for that all important $$ grab.

    Though the Multiplayer is ok at best. For me I took liberty at enjoying the Zombies and campaign. Sadly most reviews here will be multiplayer stans crying.
    But I digress, Cold war has everything I want in Cod. Good zombies with well rounded guns that work amazingly, Free content for all gamemodes and a brillant mindbending campaign.     Don't listen to to the complaints. I am a long term fan of the series and love this game! I was super hesitant about buying it, I almost returned it before I even opened it. Thank God I didn't. I have sank 20+ hours in in a week, lol. I hope Treyarch doesn't change a thing (besides QoL changes and server stability). I sat the last 2 COD's out because I was getting sick of the same old.     - the game turned off my console 6 times in the first 24 hours of playing it
    - constant disconnections
    - mediocre graphics
    - zombies is fun but there is only one map so it gets old

    I usually love COD multilayer but this game feels horrible. It’s a combination of the movement mechanics, poor connections, enemies are so hard to see, poor map design. Don’t waste your money

    i advise everyone not to buy this call of duty. this is the worst cod ever. severs with low tick rate. sbmm that **** you on all sides. no content. game breaking bugs and so on. this game is not worth your money

They used to only get 2 years and they still made good games, but this is probably the worst Black Ops game to date.     I haven't played a cod game since black ops 2 on Xbox 360, but my favorite cod game was modern warfare 1 and 2. I decided to get this cod because I wanted a solid mp, and cold war doesn't disappoint!!! Great game.

    Le plus grosse merde jamais joué depuis fort longtemps... un moteur de jeu vieillissant, un énorme retour en arrière de plus de 10 ans sur le feeling des armes alors que Modern Warfare était parfait, je ne parle même pas des crashs sur PS5 du peu de carte et d’opérateur, de la place sur le SSD.... bref une belle grosse merde.

    This game was released unfinished. I played the Alpha and the Beta for the release of this game. It seems these two iterations of the game were just for publicity. Since the game fully released it seems the feedback the developers asked for was not listened too. The game is in a terrible state. The visibility on the multiplayer maps is the worst ever.     It's a good game, the zombies is great the campaign is your usual stuff although it could be better, while the lacks when put next to these two.

    Too clunky and strange. Coming from modern warfare this feels old. All the movements feel old. Campaign is really nice and fun but the multiplayer just seems trash compared to modern warfare.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Fun like the rest. Gameplay feels a bit on the simpler side compared to the last installment. This is either a positive or negative depending on the players preference.

    There's only 8 maps, a few of them I hate or feel like they were previously stolen or heavily influenced from another COD title. Guns are fine overall. There were balancing issues with the Mp5 but it was recently nerf.

    Perks are a pretty bland. I think this was a developer's choice to slow down the game play.
    Killstreaks are over done either.
    There's a new mode "Fireteam - Dirty Bomb" and perhaps I don't have the write to say this, but I only played it one time, and it's basically TDM with Warzone mechanics. It felt like a mess. Fights are intense and long but after so many minutes, people were just parachuting in the same building over and over. It needs a lot of work, but maybe it can get there. Ground War has 3 maps. One of them is a ship that either hated or love and you can just report there being only 2.

    A strong pro that isn't talked about. I've watch videos about how the attachments work and users are claiming the extra stats found on the weapon detail accurate. This makes for a more enjoyable experience when building your kit. It's still fun to mix and match. My domination build often entails a double smoke/double semtex to help hold points.

    If you want to know my frustration and disappointment, compare the amount of content in this sad excuse of a game with the content released in ANY OTHER black ops. You'll understand. This game was released with the wrong intentions. They basically said, "just buy the game full price even though the games not finished, and we'll think about adding stuff as we move on".

    Do you want to know how sad the amount of content is in this game? the store has ONE pack and nothing else. I paid $65 for an empty store. Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of these stores because ever since they came out, game development has no longer been about gameplay and content; now it's all about money, skins, and looking cool...(2K)...

    I'm not a fan of where game development seems to be heading in the near future. Back in the good old days before 10 and 12-year-olds had smartphones and credit cards (360, PS3), a game was released with all its content. I didn't mind the map packs or small extra DLC's. At least the FULL GAME was released. Now they release 33% of a game, have you pay full price, and release items as time goes on so that they keep you in this loop of coming back to the game when they add something so you can always be entitled to make a purchase. We might as well just start buying half made cars. No brakes, just the gas pedal. Come back in a month for an update. That itself should show you how wrong this is. This is an ongoing issue with no regulations. Something has to be done about this, I just don't know what or how. If you read this before buying the game, I hope I saved you $65. Instead of casually playing the game - you will have an amazing three game run then have to sweat out the next 3 playing against MLGs. Weapon progression is sloth-like slow. I am prestige 1 and still have not maxed out a gun, granted I switch up between 3 or 4 weapons. Snipers are useless as they nerfed the **** out of them because of whiny cry babies. There are definitely bugs even tho I haven't come across many. The main bugs I'm having are with Zombies matchmaking.

For 60- 70dollars this is all the content you get for a triple A game. The only good thing that this game have is zombie and even that is still **** First, it takes you more than 5-10min to find a zombie lobby and even then when you start you have a 50% chance of getting disconnected either from the game for going to long or losing connection to the host for no reason. Oh and lets not also mention the spawning and respawning of the zombie and boss zombie which can practically teleport all over the map and if you happen to miss or just stand for like 1 second to where one of the teleport location is you just get one shoted by the boss out of nowhere as they can just teleport to your location if you get too far which mind you is probably just a short run away. Oh did I mention they already have cash shop item since the game launched yep a 60-70 dollar game launching with little content wants to launch a cash shop first before content.… Expand

    Downgrade from modern warfare.......it has its moments......zombies is fun.....multiplayer has its ups and downs.....the look and feel is an acquired taste......I hope they keep modern warfare mechanics in warzone instead of switching over to Cold War mechanics

Allerdings ist es dieses mal so fehlerhaft das ich jeden vom creativdirector bis zur Putzfrau fristlos entlassen würde. Das Spiel wahr bereits auf der PS4 kaum Spielbar. Es lassen sich je nach Aktienkurs weitere Controller anmelden oder nicht.
    Und es gibt dutzende weitere Probleme. Wie gesagt das die Spiele heute unfertig sind ist ja normal und wäre ja auch nicht so blöd, wenn man es zumindest Spielen könnte wenn man es möchte und nicht erst die Aktienwerte des Publishers anbeten müsste damit es losgeht. Es ist mir ein Rätsel wie man so dermaßen scheiße bauen kann. Wirklich schade, dabei wahren die Black ops teile meine liebsten.    … Expand

I personally come from the original Black Ops and COD4 growing up. Those games were fast, on your feet, fun shooters. I personally come from the original Black Ops and COD4 growing up. Those games were fast, on your feet, fun shooters. This game feels like a mashup of the original Black Ops and Modern Warfare, and honestly it works. With some balancing issues here and there (that ARE being patched) multiplayer makes for a very fun, however very death-prone rushing in headfirst, with insane time to kill so you cant wipe 2 guys quickly. Hardcore (which I almost always play in a COD game) is impossible to play however, with maps being much too big, much too open and simply unfeasible for this game. Zombies is amazing, the map is not the most inspired but the core gameplay loop has been revamped significantly from BO3 and BO4, making this game heavily entertaining and different each match of zombies. Campaign has a good twist to it and a trippy 2nd to last mission, but the preached "multiple endings" is only realistically 2, with just a monologue placed over your other previous decisions. Overall, this game is a step up from MW in terms of gameplay speed and entertainment, but a step down on the balancing, shadow work, and more. The graphics should be noted however. I am playing at max settings on PC and the game is significantly brighter, sharper, and better looking than MW hands down. Can not speak for console players however.… Expand

    Thankfully, a few of the early bugs were ironed out of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and subsequent season passes have patched up modes and maps that were lacking. The campaign is genuinely intriguing but may not appeal to those who just want to run and gun. Zombies and Multiplayer modes are plentiful and there should be something for everyone to thoroughly enjoy. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War should be used as the poster child for PlayStation 5's DualSense controller which has been put to full use for an immersive experience. Casual players will be somewhat put off by the sheer storage space required to fully experience everything that is on offer, especially given that SSD capacity is this generation's gold dust, but Call of Duty die-hards will most likely overlook this.

    I have no doubt that the latest Call of Duty will earn ridiculous amounts of money once again, but I will remember it as a dip in form, a game that’s closer to mediocrity than greatness. The story campaign has a satisfying finale but as a whole is rather uninspired, while the multiplayer has lost the tactical feel I enjoyed in Modern Warfare Remastered. [01/2021, p.56]

    Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the video game equivalent to that one kid in class with a sugar rush and an addiction to pixie sticks. Sure, it might be entertaining for a little while, but the more time you spend with it, the more you realize it’s just rambling on aimlessly. Ultimately, with its lack of a clear vision and focus on what makes a game fun, Cold War isn’t going to entertain you for long.
