    Got it free as part of a ps5 bundle (the only way to get a ps5 currently it seems). It is apparent that with every passing year they charge you more and sell you less of a game. It is unfinished and STILL suffers from the same issues COD has always suffered with. Connection issues that make it more a battle of internet providers than of skill etc etc etc. A game that sells as much as CODGot it free as part of a ps5 bundle (the only way to get a ps5 currently it seems). It is apparent that with every passing year they charge you more and sell you less of a game. It is unfinished and STILL suffers from the same issues COD has always suffered with. Connection issues that make it more a battle of internet providers than of skill etc etc etc. A game that sells as much as COD shouldnt have these problems. It certainly should not be released unfinished. If call of effing duty is allowed to release unfinished then gaming is in deep trouble. Stop buying these games. Stop supporting it. Games-as-service needs to go. If we continue to send money towards these games then we will deserve everything we get. Stop funding your own exploitation.… Expand

    Just so BAD! I literally only play nuke town and zombies because it's just so **** Now I don't play it at all the game is so boring. Players jumping in the air to avoid being shot WTF is this game.

    all I got to say is **** SBMM and the optimization for PC and some of the consoles. I remember when you could play this game without have to really try and the majority of the time I would do good (around 2.0KD), but now since activison wants everyone to lose some weight they make me have to sweat for like three weeks straight as soon as I do ok in this game (get 350+ SPM and 1.5+ KD). Itsall I got to say is **** SBMM and the optimization for PC and some of the consoles. LASTLY all I got to say is MP5, like I love the gun but I mean what's with infinity ward and Treyarch getting a massive hard-on for that gun. I mean just look at the beta..., but anyways I guess the game has room to improve but for now I can't play it, just gonna play cyberpunk and wait for RAID to come out.… Expand

    The Zombie Mode is great! Haven't played the story but no one cares about it anyways. Now to the multiplayer. It was great for 1 week, the gameplay is fast-paced and most of the maps are nice too. A few textures took a little bit long too load and the game lagged sometimes but it was almost always in loading screens so it didn't matter that much to me. EVERYONE was camping on the roofs and in the houses and you could do literally nothing about it because everyone is playing sniper-shotgun and is pre-aiming and even pre-firing like a little **** And it's almost as bad as this in almost every map in the game. Checkmate, Express, Satellite, Apocalypse, Zoo, Echelon, Rush, WMD and Garrison are also played like this by most of the players. The only maps i constantly had fun on are Cartel, Miami, Moscow, Raid, Diesel, Hijacked and Deprogramm. But when everyone would play on them like they were meant to almost every map would be a banger, so it's mostly the players' fault. So if you want to waste money and have fun for one week then i would recommend it. Otherwise just buy BO 4 it's better in almost every aspect.… Expand

    The game is awful. Gameplay, AI, it's just insulting how bad it is. The campaign is shorter than ever.
    It's impossible to play multiplayer, the connections and the dc's amount are tremendous.
    For them to ship a game like this is tells how much respect they have for their audience.
    Don't waste your money.

    This is just so bad. The story on the campaign is great, but the general gameplay is awful, seems like a bad mobile game with bad everything.
    Multiplayer modes are hideous, no TDM, no nice maps, and of course, no anti-cheat, because they make millions with these games but cant even invest in a god anti-cheat. The game is full of cheaters and it started in the beta!

U know the answer cuz the gameplay is bull**** u will never get a full streak if u not sit down in the corner.     This game is complete utter trash. There are so many glitches in this game. I thought they would polish this game but it was unstable as was modern warfare. I am disappointed by this.

    The only fun part of this game is the gun customisation. Apart from that, it's AWFUL! Also, stop allowing PC players to play with xbox and PS players, every other game theres a hacker.

    Speaking off internet being required, this game requires 285 GB. You would think with that insane amount of GB, we would be seeing a very advanced game. The campaign is too short. The gameplay lacks innovation and it still feels like it is running in the exact same engine as the PS2 Call of Dutys. The developers were to lazy to compress their game. Also, this is a $70 PS5 game. I fail to see anything in this game that screams next gen. There are too many frame rate drops on the campaign.

    The AI is incredibly stupid in this game. The multiplayer is complete trash and it is exactly the same trash as Black Ops 4. All they did was give us some trash maps. This game lacks so much polish. It is full of bugs and glitches. I don't recommend this game at all.    … Expand

    I really want to sit down and ask few questions to the people who made the story, ask them things like what they were going for and what message, are they trying to put out if any. I get a few hints in mind. And if it's true I think it's really bad for this game series. The multiplayer can be fun while keeping with the games theme and even giving you an introductory cutscene just it starting up to add to the set theme, but particularly in the multiplayer I don't like the animations in this game. I don't know if it's because I've been spoiled with the motion capture from on MW and there feel for realistic looking
    but fast gameplay they went for. But if I go play Black Ops 3 zombies for some reason I like the animations better. I have a theory that it cold war uses the game engine from Black Ops 4, and I didn't like how that game felt, and a lot of people didn't, as I've heard. As I was playing through the campaign i was thinking about this the whole time but didn't want to admit it but I'm going to admit it.... The reason why they called Black ops and why Hudson woods and Mason are in the game.. they pulled a Disney...you know like other new Star wars movie had all the old characters in it but they were not themselves and we're not involved in the main plot? Basically what they did it feels it me... Little throwbacks here and there but they pulled a Disney it feels like..... Maybe that's why they didn't cast the original voice actor for woods, he probably would have been pissed off like mark hamill was with Luke in The last Jedi. Look... nostalgia....is a good powerful, almost like a drug for the brain, and it helps give a happy feeling, a lot of people loved the original characters and there were bits of them in Black Ops 4, but it seemed like there was a trick for using nostalgia in a way to buy the characters, or the game. what I'm saying is like I tried to explain earlier I feel like they made a "Disney clickbait". If the original crew were not teased in the trailers in this game then not called Black Ops. I don't think it wouldn't have been as popular and I don't think much people would have bought it if it wasn't for them being in the game. They're nothing like themselves, of course they may not sound like them, but from what I know they could have got woods his voice actor easily but they didn't, and for some reason they got a guy who sounds like he's trying to sound like the previous voice actor.... why? I understand that their previous title did not go so well (Black Ops 4). But to bring back, beloved characters from the dead, so to speak, just to have the nostalgia feeling kickin so people would buy your game, then for them to be completely different. Why would you do that?I know people would complain to me and say that's what the new modern warfare did but the new modern warfare reimagined the whole Modern Warfare trilogy, but in modern times. This game, tried to put itself between black ops 1 and 2 story.. But they treated their characters like if they reimagined them? they added bits and histologia to keep you going, there's multiple endings and there's one that makes me question what's the point of this games story? Matter of fact, I think they all do that, and the thing with these Call of Duty games. The theme is the story, and the setting, and if the story is good. The rest of the game feels and looks good. If the theme is trash. The rest of it all falls apart (zombies and multiplayer). To be brutally honest, I'm upset that they didn't try to get james C. Burns To play Woods again, as they did before. It makes sense if you were reimagining the story like Modern Warfare but they didn't, I want to know the truth of why they did not try to get him. Imagine how you made James feel, how you made the fans feel. I've seen a bunch of clips on YouTube of him acting, a bunch of interviews, and that's woods right there. you can't put the body of his character in people's views for nostalgia to get them to buy your game. Maybe that's not what they did. I don't know but that's how I feel and I feel horrible... I feel worse Wondering how James feels. Short summary there is fun to be had with this game, especially the zombies.
    But the theme for both multiplayer, and zombies the bad story and it makes the rest of the experience feel bad. Just like it would in any other Call of Duty game. Not trying to be a hater but this this reminds me of black ops 4, sometimes beloved characters should be put to rest instead of brought out of their grave and treated like this.     Thankfully, a few of the early bugs were ironed out of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and subsequent season passes have patched up modes and maps that were lacking. The campaign is genuinely intriguing but may not appeal to those who just want to run and gun. Zombies and Multiplayer modes are plentiful and there should be something for everyone to thoroughly enjoy. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War should be used as the poster child for PlayStation 5's DualSense controller which has been put to full use for an immersive experience. Casual players will be somewhat put off by the sheer storage space required to fully experience everything that is on offer, especially given that SSD capacity is this generation's gold dust, but Call of Duty die-hards will most likely overlook this.

    I have no doubt that the latest Call of Duty will earn ridiculous amounts of money once again, but I will remember it as a dip in form, a game that’s closer to mediocrity than greatness. The story campaign has a satisfying finale but as a whole is rather uninspired, while the multiplayer has lost the tactical feel I enjoyed in Modern Warfare Remastered. [01/2021, p.56]

    Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the video game equivalent to that one kid in class with a sugar rush and an addiction to pixie sticks. Sure, it might be entertaining for a little while, but the more time you spend with it, the more you realize it’s just rambling on aimlessly. Ultimately, with its lack of a clear vision and focus on what makes a game fun, Cold War isn’t going to entertain you for long.
