There’s a very understandable reason why Black Ops 6 has performed noticeably better at the tills compared to last year’s poorly received Modern Warfare 3 – it’s actually a damn fine game, the best in years.

Black Ops 6 innovates in incredibly effective ways with the Call Of Duty formula, while returning to many of the foundations that made the series great to begin with: A strong campaign, well-crafted 3-lane maps, excellent gunplay and round-based Zombies mode. Most of all, it’s really fun.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 refreshes the franchise with a feature-stuffed blockbuster. It’s the most complete Call Of Duty experience in more than a decade – and presents a strong argument for giving the series’ developers more time to make each game.

Modern Warfare had a great run, but Black Ops is now back on top in their ongoing sibling rivalry. Fluid character movement, high-tempo multiplayer, evolved Zombies co-op, and an incredible campaign come together in 2024’s most irresistible first person shooter.

Black Ops 6 isn't just a strong new entry in a massive franchise that feels like going to Burger King and getting exactly what you ordered. It's the most confident Call of Duty has been in years, with both Raven and Treyarch taking a few well-calculated chances where they could afford to do so, and trimming the fat off the core 'Twitch FPS' experience that regular customers come for year after year. As a direct result, the whole package becomes a really easy recommend to anyone with even a passing interest in military-themed competitive shooters. Respawn issues and small glitches are a thing, but there's a rock-solid offering of varied FPS thrills here that are just well-executed all the way through. As the kids say: we're so back.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the best Call of Duty in years. It doesn’t feel particularly brave or shocking to admit that fact. Each year the franchise excels in masterful gunplay and it is up to the individual developer to present something new for players to gobble up. Expect omnimovement to be incorporated into future installments to come, spread across all modes. But if Black Ops 6 is any indication of the heights Call of Duty can achieve when true work and creativity are injected into the campaign, then this is a bright future for the long-running behemoth.

By being given four years of development time the developers at Raven Software have spread their wings and laid one gem of a shooter. Arguably, the best campaign in the franchise’s history is presented as the main dish with the multiplayer and Zombies modes adding zest to this well-cooked package. For only $70, this game is a must-buy for fans of shooters, spy-thrillers, hardcore gamers, and casuals alike.

The proposal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 closes everywhere and, in general, does everything well. It's a game that looks and sounds fantastic, runs great, and is very well optimized. It may seem like it's playing it safe, but in reality there is a strong commitment to returning to the roots of the saga that has paid off.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has an amazing campaign, an extremely polished gameplay, and multiplayer modes that round out the package and give longevity to a game that will be played for a long time. It's easily one of my favorite titles in the franchise so far.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6’s multiplayer suite is excellent, complimented by the great (and often hilarious) omnimovement system and the return of classic prestige. This is the best Call of Duty has been in a long time.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is an outstanding first-person shooter package that offers a thrilling blockbuster campaign with some of the best graphics on the market. Its polished multiplayer is fast-paced and intense, bringing the franchise to new heights despite a few poorly balanced maps, and the cooperative zombies mode is the absolute best it’s been in years.

Major changes to the movement system that greatly affect the Pvp Dynamics, an excellent story among the best in the series with its most diverse stages, a zombie mode with a deep progression system, and multi-layered maps that make us feel that we are looking at one of the most balanced and well made versions of Call of Duty in a long time.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 revitalizes the series with its new Omnimovement mechanic, blending fresh gameplay with classic elements. The single-player mode impresses with an open-world design and strong narrative, while Zombies returns to its roots with well-crafted maps but slow progression. Multiplayer benefits from the comeback of prestige and diverse maps, though not all are hits. Overall, it’s a must-play for fans and a solid re-entry point for casual players.

Treyarch has arrived guns blazing with this year's Call of Duty entry. All three pillars of Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies are among the best they've been in years. While some players might lament the addition of Omnimovement to the gunfights, there's a dynamic feel to the new mechanics that make Call of Duty feel more like a personal action movie.

Black Ops 6 returns the series to a revitalized and empowered state after several years of ho-hum entries. The campaign is pleasingly varied, the multiplayer contains a slew of fantastic modes and is very moreish, and Zombies is as furiously challenging as ever, making Black Ops 6 a winner on all fronts.

For fans of this saga or of shooters in general, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a must-see experience for the end of 2024, while for new gamers who want to venture into this intellectual property, it will be a great welcome letter. to get acquainted with a bombastic campaign and highly crafted multiplayer and zombie modes.
  22. After years, Black Ops 6 brings back the missed spirit of the Call of Duty series! Developed by Treyarch, the game is about the 1991 Gulf War and deep CIA conspiracies. It innovates the genre with its shooting feel, character development, omnimovement and classic zombie mode.

Call of Duty has long been criticised for its lack of innovation and endlessly rehashed and recycled features, and it’s true that BO6 does not reinvent the wheel. However the fact I (and many others) have enjoyed this series for so long with only a few exceptions makes me wonder if Call of Duty itself is the wheel. Just when I think it’s time to join all the other angry old jaded gamers and shake my fist at the clouds and feebly declare that CoD is dead, an entry like BO6 comes along that takes me back to the joy I experienced when I first answered the annual call in the first place all those years ago. It’s the sweaty palms and sore hands, the thrill of the online kill and the hours that melt away and take the stress of the real world with them. Yes I’m older and not half the sweaty squeaker I once was, but as long as there’s room for me on the virtual battlefield, I’ll be there.

Yes, it's definitely worth it. With a great campaign, a highly dynamic multiplayer, and a fun, cooperative Zombies mode, the new game from Treyarch is exactly what we expect from a traditional Call of Duty.

Anyone who has ignored or missed the campaigns of the last CoD parts should take a look here again with Black Ops 6 at the latest – it’s worth it! But also this year's Zombies mode is a real pulse accelerator and scores with two strong maps, sophisticated power-ups, a driving story, tons of Easter eggs and nice convenience functions such as the save feature for solo gamers. In multiplayer it’s back-to-the-roots, meaning rather compact maps meet tried-and-tested modes and little experimentation. The omnidirectional movement system works great here too and the content roadmap looks promising. Spawn balancing, on the other hand, requires further attention.

Black Ops 6 is more than a complete Call of Duty experience marking a definite positive step for the series, making up for the bad taste left by Modern Warfare III. The gunplay is sharper than ever, the new Omni Movement system refreshes the gameplay, and the return of Zombies Mode brings a tense and enjoyable experience.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 gets the legendary FPS franchise back to doing what it does best. With a solid multiplayer foundation, a refocused zombies mode that understands what fans enjoy that game mode, and an absolutely stellar campaign, this is Call of Duty at its best.

Overall, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is a great example of the series and even considering the contents of the package as a whole, we can only continue to believe that the result of the work done by Treyarch is the best among those that have arrived on the market in recent times. The campaign knows how to entertain throughout its duration with well-timed missions, the Zombies mode has all the right features to please long-time fans and the multiplayer is as fun as it is frenetic thanks to the introduction of the Omnimovement, the absolute protagonist of this chapter.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 may not offer anything we haven’t seen in the series. Still, it makes a solid effort to combine fantastic single-player, multiplayer, and zombie modes with engaging shooting mechanisms to create one of the best Call of Duty packages in recent years.

I had high hopes for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and it did not disappoint. The multiplayer suite is the best part of the package by a decent margin, and one of the best in the franchise thanks to the new Omnimovement feature and finely tuned gameplay. Zombies is a fun distraction when you’re needing a break from PvP, but it’s outshined by multiplayer and the campaign. Thankfully, Treyarch and Raven were able to get Call of Duty back on track in terms of campaigns with Black Ops 6, and even took a couple of big swings that paid off. Black Ops 6 feels like one of those evergreen releases in the franchise that people will be playing for years to come – some might even call it a classic Call of Duty.

After an excellent campaign, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 signs a multiplayer and Zombie just as successful. These are even the best online modes for a long time, carried by a new movement system that will stick to your skin. Everything, absolutely everything has been the subject of the care of the Treyarch teams, from the gameplay to the maps, through the progression system and of course, the legendary Zombie. It's been a long time since we've seen Call of Duty in such shape, and it's great fun. An episode not to be missed, that's for sure.

We thought that this year again Call of Duty would continue to do the bare minimum to feed its community, but we were wrong. Black Ops 6 is indeed returning to quality, and we find ourselves with what is undoubtedly one of the best episodes of the last 10 years, whether it's the single-player campaign, the gameplay, the Zombies mode, the Multiplayer, everything has been carefully worked on to make the overall experience worth it. We were pleasantly surprised, starting with the campaign which varies the situations, with sometimes more classic and spectacular missions, but also more open levels, with finally interesting things to do. The game becomes less directive and even allows itself to try things with unexpected supernatural sequences at this level. We even have to face bosses, something unheard of for a Call of Duty game. The introduction of omni-movement brings a lot to the game, with larger, more natural movements that make the game more fluid, and with which we can combine a more nervous, more impactful gunplay. In multiplayer, the experience is also very pleasant, with a Zombie mode that returns to the sources and the waves to shoot down, even if we have to make do with two poor maps at launch. Fortunately, multiplayer and Warzone are there to fill this gap, especially since this year the new "Execution Order" mode is undoubtedly one of the best finds in the series.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 avoids the pitfalls of Modern Warfare 3, offering a compelling spy campaign with smooth undercover missions and satisfying gunplay. Despite solid multiplayer and Zombies modes, it still feels - much like its predecessors - like a rehash of 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot.

Black Ops 6 is the best a modern Call of Duty can offer. Maybe it's not revolutionary enough to become a cult classic, but that doesn't mean it's a great game to play.

With strong characters and a creatively written campaign, Black Ops 6 meets expectations. The tried-and-true formula remains, and the well-designed open-world map is a major plus. The Emergence mission stands out, and it’s clear the series needs to move in this direction, as it holds tremendous potential.

The multiplayer brings back the arcadey, fast-paced action missing from the past two years and takes numerous systems back to basics for the better. It's unfortunate that a lot of Infinity Ward’s poor design decisions infect so much of the experience, but the core gunplay, Omnimovement and about half the maps still help make this feel like a proper Treyarch Black Ops experience. Zombies is back to round-based and is helped by Omnimovement and smart map design to create a thrilling experience. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 carries on the legacy of the Black Ops franchise well and is a strong return to form for the long-running series.
  39. 80
Black Ops 6 nicely balances an action-packed campaign, lively multiplayer, and a refreshing take on Zombies. The game combines great visuals and gameplay, proving once again why Call of Duty remains a powerhouse in the gaming industry. While some technical hiccups and issues with multiplayer suppress the fun, the sensational controls and production values make it hard to put down.

Black Ops 6 surprises and much for its campaign, but ends up hooking thanks to a multiplayer mode and zombies mode that offer just what they promise. It may not be perfect, but it's probably the best Call of Duty in years.

Black Ops 6 is to Call of Duty what Battlefield 3 was to its series, something new that finally offered an alternative to a repetitive formula. Now, it is up for Activision and Treyarch to build on it. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is not the best Call of Duty release. Depending on who you ask, it may not even be the best Black Ops game. That said, in a world where the series has become synonymous with overpriced, cheap multiplayer combat and vapid campaigns, Black Ops 6 is a breath of fresh air. This game will go down in history one way or another. It is either the last good Call of Duty made, or the first of a new era with good titles again. Treyarch has a long way to go if a sequel is to be called great, but for the first time in a decade, Call of Duty may have a future again.

Treyarch delivers. The single player is substantial and engaging. The Zombies mode is familiar entertainment full of gameplay fun and the multiplayer is solid. The overall package is well cared for, looks good and sounds excellent. In short, a game you can buy blind as an enthusiast, although they still have some work to do because of bugs and spawn points, which are not optimal.

Following the launch woes of Modern Warfare 3, the FPS heavyweight series marks a very strong and impressive return to form in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Its single player campaign is one of the franchise’s best-ever efforts, the multiplayer is jam-packed with engaging content, and the Zombies mode seems just as good as it always is when Treyarch is leading things. It never really went away, but Black Ops 6 feels like Call of Duty back at its modern peak.

Unbelievable but true, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 succeeds where the license has failed for years: it has managed to create a surprise and renew its formula, finally! It is an excellent episode, one of the best in the series and by far. Its campaign will remain in your head for a long time because it is generous, well-crafted and above all incredibly surprising. Very diverse, it even offers a host of things never before attempted in the license, and above all it succeeds in everything it undertakes. Gripping from start to finish, it also allows you to get your hands on another element that has had a fresh look: the gameplay. The omnimovement, repeatedly praised by the studio, is a pretty incredible new feature that really changes the way you approach the game. Add to that an extremely solid multiplayer, also very generous with lots of game modes and well-designed maps, not to mention the Zombies mode which makes a welcome return to its roots by marrying certain new features over the episodes, and you get one of the best FPS of recent years. Yes, the Call of Duty franchise is an unmissable annual event for many fans, but this COD Black Ops 6 really is a must-have for all fans of good FPS now.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is, for now, a big yes. After a 'Modern Warfare 2' that was a step backwards and a 'Modern Warfare 3' that clearly had a DLC flavour, Treyarch is stepping strong with this heir to 'Black Ops Cold War', with a campaign rich in references and with very varied and attractive levels that knows how to give the player what they ask for. The multiplayer and the zombies are more than fine at launch, but in a few months the game will be a different story and will be very different with the additions and changes that are made, hopefully always for the better and not spoil anything.

Despite the qualms I have with the maps, though, Black Ops 6 is a real return to form for the franchise, which goes to show that some extra time in the lab makes all the difference. I can’t wait to see what Treyarch’s post-launch plans have in store

With the best Call of Duty campaign in years, and a tweaked movement system that comes to life in multiplayer, Black Ops 6 is both a return to form and a great entry point for new or lapsed players. Just don't expect it to do anything interesting with the Gulf War setting.

Black Ops 6 is the best title in the series for years. It’s still a maniacal first-person shootfest that many players will absolutely detest; no critics of games that glorify the military-industrial complex are going to be converted at this stage. The design team, though, knows its audience and serves them accordingly while doing just enough to move things forward and try some intriguing little segues. I would happily play a whole game in which I could customise the flamboyant safe house to make it more comfortable for my cute little family of spec-ops sociopaths; I would play a whole survival horror adventure set in the world that Emergence concocts. Nothing in this series has ever lingered with me as long as the nuclear bomb explosion in Call of Duty 4 – but these violent delights, I feel, have staying power.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 may not represent the pinnacle of the series or the start of a new era, but it firmly halts the franchise's steady decline, delivering a quality entry—arguably the best in the past decade. The campaign is surprisingly engaging and varied, though not quite on par with the series' top classics, and the same holds true for the zombie mode. With more focus on innovation and map quality in multiplayer, the game could have reached even higher scores, but there's room for improvement with post-launch updates. Overall, it’s an unexpected return to form.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 isn't a step forward in the series, but it does manage to catch its breath to some extent. A campaign that's the result of too many ideas that hit and miss constantly, a multiplayer that's not for the faint-hearted, and some hugely addictive zombies make for a solid, but not memorable, installment.
  54. Oct 30, 2024
    76
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a good overall package that mainly implements refinements. Omni-movement is a fine addition and the single-player mode is a nice afternoon snack, but it is the Zombies mode that takes the cake with delicious improvements and a return to basics.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 excels in being one of the most interesting iterations the franchise has seen in a long time. However, the standard framework it leans on is more glaring than ever as the new stuff completely outshines it. An entry maybe too scared to take the full plunge in offering something brand new but it at least shows what the series could be in brilliant and polished fashion.
  56. Nov 1, 2024

It is this general lack of memorable content, or downright terrible additions, that hold back Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 significantly. This could easily be the fourth best game in the series if it had the content and maps to match its gameplay. Even still, that gameplay is enough for me to have some fun and recommend this title to others. There is something so enticing about the Omnimovement system that I hope is in every non-jetpack title from now on. The incredible feel of BO6 is enough to keep me hooked for now until, hopefully, Treyarch gives us worthy content to enjoy.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is fundamentally a fun game, despite the fact that the series is becoming very ‘’samey’’, especially if you are a ‘’multiplayer only’’ player. Its espionage-like campaign is certainly fun and ridiculous at times, with some questionable decisions and great level design, but it still doesn’t pose as something remarkably innovative in its final product.
  59. 65
With Black Ops 6, the Call of Duty series seems to have sunken up to its neck in political pastiche, deeper than ever before. It is tone and setting signifying nothing, but still managing to tick its ideological checkboxes all the same.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 aims to please Call of Duty fans of every kind, with three stacked modes — campaign, multiplayer and Zombies — that all have enough going for them to satisfy all Call of Duty fans. Omni-movement is a fantastic addition to the routine gameplay that feels like a natural evolution not just for CoD titles but FPS games in general. However, each mode isn't without its frustrations: the campaign stalls the action a little too often, the Zombies mode can get a tad repetitive and the multiplayer maps vary a little too drastically in quality. Still, this is Call of Duty as it's known and loved. Franchise enthusiasts will likely be satisfied.

How we like the latest Call of Duty? Well, pretty much like the previous one and all those before it: unpretentious entertainment that slips in as smoothly as a slice of pizza. Not that we mind, because we love pizza.
  62. 60
Black Ops 6 has a solid base, with a robust Zombies mode and a campaign that it has sought to renew, but it fails to capitalise on this opportunity due to the disintegration of the multiplayer mode, which is called into question by inadequate map design and the abusive implementation of SBMM and EOMM.

The game’s held back by a poor selection of maps, which are some of the worst launch maps we’ve seen to date, but overall, this is a fantastic return to form, especially through the Zombies mode and campaign. Black Ops 6 gives players exactly what they want, while also laying the groundwork for the future.
  2. Oct 31, 2024
I went into the campaign of Black Ops 6 hopeful, but skeptical. It’s easy to get caught up in the pre-release hype and sometimes that can lead to disappointment. Thankfully, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a blast from start to finish, and provides some of the best moments that this series has to offer. I hope Black Ops 6 is indicative of a long-overdue upturn in quality for the series. If it is, Call of Duty fans have every reason to be excited about what the future may hold.
