    Positives: The gameplay is a massive improvement over the previous games in the series, and the performance upgrades and use of the dualsense's capabilities are a nice addition to what was already a pretty solid game on PS4. Also, the playable characters are all really fun to play as, and the worlds are just beautiful to look at. From the vast deserts of Pandora, to the metroplex ofPositives: The gameplay is a massive improvement over the previous games in the series, and the performance upgrades and use of the dualsense's capabilities are a nice addition to what was already a pretty solid game on PS4. Also, the playable characters are all really fun to play as, and the worlds are just beautiful to look at. From the vast deserts of Pandora, to the metroplex of Promethea, everything in the visual department is a definite upgrade, and the game looks STUNNING. The combat feels fun and varied, a big plus too with how varied the playable characters are.

    Negatives: The writing, characters, and storytelling compared to Borderlands 2 leaves a lot to be desired. The main villains being what are essentially evil psychotic twitch streamers could have been handled a lot better than it actually was, and instead they come off as characters who I want to kill just to shut them up and not because they're evil and despicable like Handsome Jack was in BL2. Additionally the sidequests, while being pretty fun and imaginative in BL2, were bland and felt very same-y in the newest entry, to the point that I just stopped doing them. The general writing of the game has taken a bit of a nosedive from "amazing" to "adequate". I laughed a lot through the many playthroughs I had in BL2, but I almost don't want to make a new character in BL3 simply from how much I cringed at the dialogue.

    It's a lot more fun when you have a friend to play with (aka someone to cringe at the dialogue alongside), but this is where I noticed a number of other issues too. In local co-op the writing is simply too small to read unless you have a large TV, something which I do not play my PS5 on simply for convenience reasons and due to it being a part of a general gaming setup. The writing is so small in fact that I had to turn up the subtitles to max size and even then had to lean forward to read some of the other text. Small visual glitches also popped up during a local co-op playthrough, where the corner of my friend's side of the screen would warp to a pixelated black behind the ammo counter if facing a certain direction, but only on Promethea thus far. While not a game-ruining thing, it's certainly caused a bit of confusion.

    Overall, the game is pretty good as a looter shooter, but it doesn't necessarily feel like the Borderlands I'm used to. The gameplay salvages what would otherwise be a mediocre game, and the choice of playing it with friends also alleviates some of the issues I have with the game. Though, the writing is still pretty bad and can get on one's nerves very quickly. I haven't got anything to say about the DLCs as I haven't gotten any of them and probably won't.    … Expand

The game also just looks beautiful. The narrative made me cringe more than once... a really dull story at times. You get great moments than some truly awful humor. The villains are alright.

    I think the game (overall) has improved quite a lot since the initial launch. I do think this is definitely worth purchasing on the PS5. Everything just feels smoother? More fluid? The gameplay is also just some of the best FPS shooting I've had in quite some time. Really responsive, with the PS5's controller you also feel more in control of the actual rate of fire. It does make the gameplay more immersive.

    It's a good time.

    Honestly, besides the bland humor and kinda average writting. This is a pretty solid (fun) action shooter. I would recommend playing on PS5 and playing with friends.    … Expand

    Better and improved version of previous BL games in every aspect.

    Playable character feel very unique, and versatile, story is great and every gun feels awesome.

    How is this one of the highest reviewed PS5 games? I created this account just to give this game a bad review because I absolutely loathe this game. I played 1 and 2 and have fond memories of them despite the obnoxious story. 3 offers absolutely nothing new after an entire generation of time to develop and is less fun to play than any previous entries despite doing nothing new.     All bosses are buggy as hell. Nothing new from previous games. There is nothing to do after campaign. Broken and unbalanced point system, so they disabled every bonuses. Shooting is really strange and far way from first person shooter.

    The gameplay is roughly the same, the only difference you'll spot is the smoother frame rate compared to the others, which is entirely carried by PlayStation's hardware and not really gearbox's doing.     The next point might be subjective, but every playable character is pretty boring, they're all hard to like because of how cringe they are. Yes, previous playable characters were goofy, but it's especially jarring this time around.

    Can be very glitchy at times, but nothing you're not used to if you've played other borderlands Games.    … Expand

    The game is fun to play for the most part, the gunplay is satisfactory. BUT it starts to feel weird with the Mayhem mode.
    The characters are stupid and not charismatic, and the story feels forced and unnatural since it is serving a stupid political agenda that is forced fed to players these days.
    I LOVE borderlands series, but this one doesn't make it for me

Borderlands 1 and 2 were so much better and I hate that i wasted money preordering this and no i don't flat out hate the game i hate that gearbox and 2k are constantly characters and guns.
    Thats what makes it so loudy i don't know how this game. Has a score of 81 but it should b 50 or 60    … Expand

    Haven't really played Borderlands games in the past. Didn't think I'd like it for some reason, maybe because I'm not usually a fan of the cell-shaded aesthetic. Boy was I wrong. Brilliant and insanely addictive. Fantastic graphics, great gameplay and a brilliant soundtrack. I could write a longer review but as the game isn't exactly new (I'm playing it through PS Plus), I'll just say,Haven't really played Borderlands games in the past.     I’m using lg oled and this game looks great in 120hz. Also, missions are fun and in sp it is really interesting. Still haven’t tried mp, but technically it is great to see 120hz being implemented.

    On PS5 with 4k@60 FPS and HDR it is BEAUTIFUL. Loading times are mostly not existent, no lags in menus. A ton of content in the main game alone, plus all the DLCs, just amazing. Beautiful worlds to explore. Played on PS4 Pro and now replaying again on PS5 because the improvement is so good. Shooting feels greater as ever before and the drops of Legendaries seems to be fixed, regularlyOn PS5 with 4k@60 FPS and HDR it is BEAUTIFUL. Loading times are mostly not existent, no lags in menus.     I'm so glad i waited for the PS5 version before picking this one up. I already read that the biggest complaint at the time was bugs bugs bugs, so I new I had to wait. Even still, I still didn't expect much of the game since I knew the main story writer of BL left the company and BL 2.5 was sooo dissapointing. Now I can say, I'm positively impressed.    Is this Borderlands or what!? :)

    - Really neat PS5 upgrade, finally some humane loading times coming along with it as well :P
    - Great guns, sooo much variety, it's insane, It feels like every gun is unique. Very very nice....yess
    - Good level design, big, funn and much variation.
    - Awesome humor, maybe even better than BL2 at some times
    - Impressed with the audio
    - Fun characters to play
    - 12 dollar for a full game (ok DLC's seem to be expensive, havent got there yet)

    Cons:
    - Story is ok-ish, I didnt care much about the characters, but the humor kept it interesting
    - There's not much "new" going on, it felt like a finetuned BL2.. which isn't necesarily bad because BL2 was awesome.
    - Same AI, you can still run past everything and kill the boss
    - Vehicles are mehhh.. only the fast one feels cool.

    I'm having a lot of fun messing around with friends in this game.

    The stumbling blocks of this game really lie in the new characters it introduces. While you do run into familiar faces from throughout all the games in the series (whom are almost as fun and hilarious as they were in the prior games they appeared in), the new characters fail to impress at best, and are unbearable to be around at worst. One particular character (who apparently was in a prior Borderlands game I hadn't played) was utterly and unintentionally intolerable, yet my character insisted that they were chums by the end of the game - this left me irate.

    Despite its weaker new characters, the portrayal of the old ones is, overall, serviceable at worst. And furthermore, the moment-to-moment gameplay is a ton of fun - the mechanics of shooting felt entirely natural and accessible, and the game presented me with several challenging situations, especially in the endgame. While it sometimes felt a little like the reasons why I died weren't always clear (i.e. being killed so quickly that I didn't see what had hit me), the challenge generally felt reasonable, and the main draw of the game - guns, guns and more guns - was extremely enticing. It also felt like the loot system was infinitely more balanced than in prior games, and like I could actually reach a satisfying endpoint where I felt powerful, and not always wanting for better and better equipment.

    If you enjoyed the first two games, you'll love BL3. While its story doesn't match up to that of BL2, and the game is a bit more streamlined than either of the first two games, BL3 is an utterly fantastic bonanza full of slaughter and laughter.    … Expand

    I really had a good time with my friends playing through the entire story and DLCs. One of the best coop-experiences in my entire life. I had some instances of technical issues, bugs and disconnects that were very annoying when they occurred, hence not a 9.

    Плюсы:
    + Пушек много и все чувствуются очень хорошо, по эмоциям и количеству ярче и круче пред.частей и других игр;
    + Огромные карты и простор для исследований;
    + Богатый выбор развития персонажа (ветка талантов) и не плохой выбор в целом персонажей;
    + Динамика боев, за счет паркура и подкатов, выше стала и подкаты интересней чем в Destiny.
    + Игра в CO-OP! Мой друг 5, я 50 и при этом что я, что он получаем удовольствие от игры, получая вызов и FUN от совместной игры, а не так что он скучает пока я все уничтожаю у него и где он постоянно падает, играя у меня.

    Минусы субъективны и от меня все же:
    - За счет огромных карт, проседает порой динамика стрельбы, ибо на противников надо еще наткнуться.
    - Моуз как перснаж, проседает в сравнению с другими, потому что анимация та же раз за разом (садится в меху), меняется только оружие, в отличие от других, где ты видишь разную анимацию.    … Expand

    É uma ótima sequência dos outros jogos, faz tudo de uma maneira ótima, gameplay viciante, com um ótimo uso do Dualsense, todos os personagens interessantes e história divertida, com um mapa gigante agora incluindo diversos planetas para se explorar.

    This game is so good! Even the dlc's are worth the money. The ps4 version was a bit laggy and buggy with trophies but the ps5 version is just wow. Can't wait for borderlands 4

    Quite a good well-rounded Borderlands package. If you've enjoyed Borderlands 2, BL3 is very similar and a bit bigger.

    Gunplay sencillamente perfecto.
    Enorme duración, con un progreso satisfactorio. Diferentes tipos de personajes con su propia jugabilidad y características. Rendimiento impecable, a 4K 60fps. No hay tiempos de cargas apenas, que en un Borderlands viene de perlas, con tanto viaje entre regiones. Sigue siendo la saga que mejor trata el looteo de toda la industria. - La historia es    +

    I fb loved this game. I don't know how to explain it but its just great the characters it's like one big young and cheek inside joke and the characters are top notch. I do wish they would go a little deeper with maybe large character missions, and that's not really a criticism I just want more. And I have to talk about the co star of the show loot aka baaaaddddaaaasssss guns!!! The seriesI fb loved this game. I don't know how to explain it but its just great the characters it's like one big young and cheek inside joke and the characters are top notch. I do wish they would go a little deeper with maybe large character missions, and that's not really a criticism I just want more.     love this game. invested almost 10 days of gameplay over two characters and I love it. The story leaves a lot to be desired but the gameplay and familiar characters make up for it. DLC like 'Bounty of Blood' is amazing. BL3 on next-gen consoles looks great and plays great.

    Heaps of guns and cool characters, fun addicting gameplay. Huge amounts of content and things to do, Borderlands 3 is a great game. This game will last for a very long time.

    Game was tons of fun to play and explore. Characters and side quests are silly and fun. Guns are quite inventive and creative. My friends and I put hundreds of hours into the game and continue to do slaughter star events and raid bosses.

    The visuals and gameplay is the best its ever been in the Borderlands franchise, however the characters, story and writing is also at its worse...it's so jarring and cringey, that this will be the only Borderlands game that I've only completed one playthrough, cause I have no wish to slog through it again...

    After realizing that the Call of Duty series is always the same year after year and with each title released one worse than the other I played Borderlands: The Handsome Collection that and of course led me to play Borderlands 3 conclusion I haven't bought any more COD since 2016 !! Borderlands is fun, full of humor, cooperative mode ect, many positive points that make this series the bestAfter realizing that the Call of Duty series is always the same year after year and with each title released one worse than the other I played Borderlands: The Handsome Collection that and of course led me to play Borderlands 3 conclusion I haven't bought any more COD since 2016 !!     If you’re expecting a great evolution to the series, you might be a little disappointed with what Borderlands 3 brings to the table. But if you’re happy to jump into more of the same, albeit on a greater scale, you’ll find a lot to love here. And on the new generation of consoles, Borderlands 3 shines better than ever. Playing at 60fps with up to 4K resolution really makes a world of difference; Borderlands 3 has never been more of a pleasure to shoot your way through.

    Borderlands 3 is a no-brainer for those who already own the game to experience what the PlayStation 5 is capable of. The Resolution Mode visually adds so much more and the Performance Mode gives players a chance to try out the 120hz mode on a compatible display. The story remains the same, but the DLC will add many more ways to play for users. The DualSense Controller with the PS5 is the true game changer here and it’s further bolstered by the 3D Audio. Gearbox no doubt took advantage of the new hardware to unleash the proper Borderlands 3.

    Make no doubt about it, this is the definitive way to play Borderlands 3. Whether you’re venturing into the Borderlands for the first time, or revisiting now that the technical issues are fixed, you’re in for a hell of a time.
