Mar 26, 2025Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is a surprisingly robust and faithful adaptation of the beloved anime, delivering an expansive story mode, deep character exploration, and a combat system that blends accessibility with strategic depth. Though it suffers from occasional animation hiccups and minor visual bugs, it stands tall as one of the best single-player anime fighting game experiences in recent memory—especially for longtime fans of the series.
-
Apr 16, 2025Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is the long-awaited dream game for shōnen fans—a distinctive fighting game and a journey through the saga, crafted with a unique sense of care that transcends mere gameplay.
-
May 26, 2025BLEACH: Rebirth of Souls is a must-play for longtime fans of the series, capturing the spirit and style of Bleach with authenticity and flair. But beyond the fan service, it also stands out as a surprisingly fun and distinctive arena fighter. With its dynamic combat, stylish visuals, and character-driven mechanics, it has the potential to win over newcomers—and might even inspire a few to dive into the anime for the first time.
-
Apr 10, 2025Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is a fantastic entry for both newcomers and older fans, and helps refresh players who haven’t kept up with Bleach, so that they’re ready for the final part of the Thousand-Year Blood War anime adaptation later this year.
-
Apr 7, 2025Rebirth of Souls is a solid step in the right direction for bringing Bleach back into the world of anime games. While it features some repetitive elements and introduces slightly different mechanics, it still manages to deliver hours of fun that fans are sure to enjoy.
-
Mar 31, 2025Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is the game that Bleach fans have deserved for such a long time. It's a fresh and inventive arena fighter that combines the classic energy and atmosphere of the series with a fresh, stylish, and modern coat of paint.
-
Mar 30, 2025Bleach Rebirth of Souls is a solid fighting game based on Tite Kubo's manga, perhaps the best production related to the franchise. It's not a perfect fighting game and there are some problems with online matches, but it's a solid base to start from.
-
Mar 20, 2025BLEACH: Rebirth of Souls is a true love letter to fans, letting them step into the shoes of their favorite characters with exhilarating and distinct playstyles. The combat is deep and rewarding, but the absence of ranked mode, crossplay, and a lackluster story keep it from reaching its full potential. Even so, it stands as the number one BLEACH game, shining bright for everyone.
-
Mar 28, 2025In its best moments, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is a love letter to the anime hit with its thrilling fights, excellent soundtrack and superb style and offers fans everything they want. However, especially the at best modest selection of modes in the multiplayer section prevents it from becoming the number one anime fighting game.
-
Apr 18, 2025BLEACH Rebirth of Souls is a really entertaining arena fighting game, which both fans of the anime and strangers to Ichigo will enjoy.
-
Mar 30, 2025Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is the fighting game dedicated to the universe of Tite Kubo: it's not perfect, but finally the manga returns to consoles and PC.
-
Mar 28, 2025Although Bleach Rebirth of Souls is a decent attempt with fast-paced and engaging gameplay, its limited game modes may not appeal to more demanding players. Despite its flaws, it deserves a chance, as it shines in other aspects that make it unique.
-
Apr 13, 2025Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is a love letter to Tite Kubo's work and his legions of fans. By forgoing even the slightest competitive ambition, Tamsoft has managed to translate the spectacular and even unpredictable nature of Bleach's battles into playful terms, developing a noisy and strategically-focused combat system. Unfortunately, the story mode, the online infrastructure, the roster of playable characters, and even the balance leave much to be desired, but we are nevertheless convinced that the developer has succeeded in its main intent, which was to create a tie-in that fully respects the unique and unmistakable style of the license. Ultimately, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls may not be the video game adaptation that Bleach fans deserve and have been waiting for for two decades now, but so far it is the closest thing to it.
-
Apr 8, 2025Rebirth of Souls takes some risks that pay off. Although a bit too complicated and poorly explained, its fighting system ends up being quite satisfying. It's a well-thought-out fighting game that could have used more of the 'oomph' Bleach deserves, but is still a welcome addition to the market, which hasn't seen many titles from this series in a long time.
-
Jul 30, 2025I’m hoping that Bandai Namco and Tamsoft continue to update Bleach Rebirth of Souls and make the online modes more engaging. I’m also curious to see the four DLC characters from Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War bring to the table as well, but I’m not counting on any new TYBW-related story content coming to this game. If anything, a sequel with this content and more improvements could be the right move.
-
May 25, 2025Bleach Rebirth of Souls is reminiscent of the cel-shaded fighting games that were all the rage in the early 2000s. While the sometimes redundant and somewhat complex approach to combat may be surprising at first, the game quickly reveals the depth of its content with a roster of 32 characters and a Campaign mode that retraces a large part of the manga. The technical aspect, on the other hand, is behind, and we should therefore not expect a title that meets current visual codes. Thirty years after Toshinden, Tamsoft is giving the Bleach license a boost in video games, and that can only please fans.
-
Apr 22, 2025BLEACH does a fine job of translating into an engaging fighting game, where staying true to the source material is a very strong point. Add engaging mechanics, strong audio and a cool presentation, and you have a package that is well worth a look for fans. However, you do have to take into account an unbalanced roster and the hit detection, which is not always accurate. At bottom, a solid game, but with room for improvement.
-
Apr 11, 2025Bleach Rebirth of Souls is fun once you get over the jargon-y names of its mechanics and some nuisance elements. It’s not exactly wowing me, but as far as 3D fighters go, it’s one of the better ones.
-
Apr 10, 2025Bleach: Rebirth of Souls delivers an exciting fighting system that faithfully represents the universe created by Tite Kubo. Combat is the highlight here, offering depth, rhythm and impact. However, the game suffers from limitations in game modes, a lack of relevant competitive content and a visual presentation that is below expectations. The feeling that remains is that of a missed opportunity.
-
Apr 7, 2025Rebirth of Souls, a game that has been waiting for a new Bleach game for a long time, unfortunately delivers a weaker performance than I expected. It's not a good enough fighting game to satisfy fighting game fans, but it's a full enough game to please manga/anime fans.
-
Apr 6, 2025Bleach Rebirth of Souls may have a few minor flaws that take it a long way from perfection, but its formula is no less solid once you get to grips with its mechanics and discover a robust gameplay coupled with a premium cast.
-
Apr 2, 2025Bleach: Rebirth of Souls establishes a straightforward and relatively simple gameplay model to understand, which costs it depth and diversity, especially for the most dedicated players. Visually unstable, its narrative mode underplays the franchise's potential, making it a good fighting game, but an uninspired adaptation.
-
Mar 31, 2025Bleach Rebirth of Souls is perhaps the best game based on Tite Kubo's manga: respectful of the original work, artistically inspired, and with a combat system that is original and “cheeky” to the point. In contrast, in many other respects it could have dared more.
-
Mar 31, 2025Bleach: Rebirth of Souls has some uneven presentation and can get overly repetitive towards the end of its campaign, but its more thoughtful combat mechanics and commitment to doing the series’ story justice make it a strong first entry in what I hope is a new series. Whether you’re a seasoned Bankai user or a newcomer to the Soul Society like me, Rebirth of Souls is sure to show you why Bleach earned its place in The Big Three.
-
Mar 31, 2025Despite its technical flaws and lack of ranked multiplayer or crossplay, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls offers a solid combat system with more depth than usual for the genre, a great soundtrack, and charismatic characters. Recommended for fans.
-
Mar 30, 2025Bleach Rebirth of Souls’ combat surpasses the typical anime arena fighter thanks to its intricate battle system and the effort that has been invested in making each character feel unique with their distinct play styles. Although the theatrics of its story mode do not consistently match the spectacle of its crisp character models, the vibrant sword slashes and stylish typography accompanying each super move help compensate for those shortcomings. Despite not fully delivering on its ambitious promise to elevate anime arena fighters to new heights, Rebirth of Souls is still a welcome latecomer to the genre for this series.
-
Mar 28, 2025For fans of the franchise, it's not bad at all, but if anyone wants to get into Bleach through this product, I'd honestly recommend watching the anime on streaming platforms instead. I'm not saying it's a bad game, but it's not aimed at the newer audience who just wants to have a good time with a fighting game.
-
Mar 27, 2025The developers deserve credit – it would have been far too easy to do the bare minimum and call it a day. However, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is a legitimately compelling and well made arena fighter, that allows for some very thrilling fights. While other parts of the package are weaker and drag it down, this is the rare anime adaptation that can be recommended even to those who may not already be fans of the property.
-
Mar 26, 2025Bleach Rebirth of Souls excels rather well as a fighting game but less as a complete package. The story mode, most of all, feels a bit sloppy, which is a shame considering the source material. Still, this is Bleach’s best video game outing by far and a great fighting game in general. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a game that turns the tides as much as Rebirth of Souls does. While not perfect, it has what it needs to become a staple title for anime/manga fans to enjoy.
-
Mar 25, 2025Bleach Rebirth of Souls is authentic to the anime, does a good job with the narrative retelling, and is meticulous at giving you all your favourite characters to brawl around with. I can’t see a Bleach fan picking this up and not having some immediate good fun with it. I just can’t see them still having fun with it a year from now, and while the Bleach star may have faded a little from a decade or whatever ago, I do think that there was more that could have been done with it than this.
-
Mar 24, 2025Rebirth of Souls is fairly standard fare for an anime game, but it will be welcome for content-starved Bleach fans.
-
Apr 12, 2025What saddens us about Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is that it’s clear this is a fighting game developed with a lot of passion and attention to detail — but the project’s low budget has dragged down many aspects of the title. The Story Mode is undoubtedly the highlight of the game: it follows the original storyline with obsessive fidelity, including many battles that other games would have skipped, and it’s packed with moments designed to delight fans of the series. Unfortunately, the cutscenes are marred by often atrocious animations. The combat system is truly original and does a great job of capturing the spirit of Bleach’s battles, but character imbalances, animation issues, and collision problems hold it back significantly. What hurts the game the most, however, is the online mode, which is virtually unsalvageable — especially due to its terrible netcode. That said, if you’re a big Bleach fan and you’re looking to relive Ichigo’s adventures firsthand, the excellent Story Mode still makes it worth considering.
-
Mar 24, 2025Bleach: Rebirth of Souls knows how to be spectacular without neglecting to offer a certain amount of gameplay complexity, something most 3D fighting games based on a manga/anime can't boast. But, unfortunately, the rest of the game is not up to par, and it doesn't manage to achieve the Bankai.
-
Apr 12, 2025Bleach Rebirth of Souls offers fans a chance to relive epic moments from the anime but fails to deliver a satisfying experience. Repetitive combat, technical issues, character imbalance, and a limited online mode hinder the enjoyment. Despite nostalgia, it doesn't match up to other titles in the genre.
-
Oct 14, 2025Despite its small roster of fighters, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls tries to create new tendencies for the Arena Fighter genre. Fights are fun and visuals, animations and soundtracks are amazing, but a lackluster campaign and an incomplete online mode leave the feeling that there’s something missing for the game to become mandatory for lovers of the genre.
-
Apr 15, 2025Much like his protagonist Ichigo, Bleach : Rebirth of Souls is no messiah. While Bandai Namco and Tamsoft go to great lengths to deliver an original anime fighting game while avoiding arena fighter trappings, combat mechanics are too light to remain interesting over time. Bleach : Rebirth of Souls mainly targets shinigami fanatics and hardcore fans able to find every detail and reference scattered through the game. Good enough, I say.
-
Apr 3, 2025Bleach: Rebirth of Souls offers fans a fun trip through the anime’s arcs, but lacks world interaction and variety in its combat. While it can entertain for a while, the repetitive fighting system ultimately fails to keep things engaging. A missed opportunity for a deeper experience.
-
Mar 27, 2025There's something really compelling at the core of Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, but it struggles to emerge amidst half-baked mechanics and a general lack of depth. The game wows over the first few hours with slick visuals and a varied character roster, but it just doesn't have the content to keep anyone but the most hardcore Bleach fans hooked. While it's great to see Tite Kubo's edgy blockbuster back in action, Rebirth of Souls will go down as a flashy fighter that never realised its potential.
-
Mar 24, 2025For fight fans looking for a good scrap Bleach Rebirth of Souls, is a fairly solid fighter with some clever mechanics that don’t quite hit the mark due to a lack of game modes, some obnoxious difficulty spikes in the main campaign, and a block button that lets you get hit far too easily. As such, I can only recommend Bleach Rebirth of Souls to die hard desperate to take a more hands on trip to the Soul Society.

May 27, 2025Even it's not a bad fighting game, Bleach Rebirth of Souls deserved more polish and love from its developers, because it a has a potential that has not been.
