Feb 9, 2026BlazBlue Entropy Effect X successfully transforms a fighting game legacy into a polished action roguelite, pairing some of the genre’s best combat with meaningful progression and a more coherent narrative framework. While its storytelling still lags behind its mechanical excellence and onboarding can feel dense, the sheer variety of characters, builds, and systems makes it a standout experience even for players unfamiliar with BlazBlue.
-
Feb 11, 2026Its fast-paced combat system is one of the best in the genre, and BlazBlue fans will love the large number of playable characters. Throw in some truly eye-catching visuals and BlazBlue Entropy Effect X is a must-play for action roguelike fans.

Feb 25, 2026BlazBlue: Entropy Effect X is one of those rarities that hits all the key elements very well. The core experience is great, possessing incredible depth that adds to the urge to replay. For fans of either the source material or the roguelite genre, this is an easy recommendation. From the art to the fun of making overpowered builds, players will keep wanting to have just one more run.

Feb 9, 2026Even though I'm not familiar with the story or history of BlazBlue I had a very fun time with Entropy Effect X. It is genuinely fun to play, offering a loop of combat that is as challenging as it is visually stunning. The large Roster of very different characters and the interplay of the Legacy system make every run feel like a new experiment in breaking the game's limits. And the Entropy system unlocked upon winning a run lets you push the difficulty as hard as you can.
-
Feb 9, 2026BlazBlue Entropy Effect X is an excellent roguelike adventure that faithfully translates the tactical, frenetic combat of the main series into an immersive side-scrolling experience. Each character feels distinct, with unique abilities that encourage experimentation with the game’s multi-layered systems, resulting in builds that differ from run to run. While the complex narrative doesn’t fully land and some systems aren’t clearly explained, the moment-to-moment action is superb and will quickly get its hooks in you.
-
Feb 17, 2026Fresh challenge systems and a slick new story make 91Act's rogue-lite that much more compelling, even if some aspects could be better.

Feb 9, 2026BlazBlue Entropy Effect X delivers frantic combat and a unique roster that requires technical mastery, further enhanced by versatile local and online cooperative modes. However, the lack of environmental variety and the low difficulty of common enemies cause the experience to become repetitive over time. This duality results in a mechanically solid game that ultimately struggles with the diversity of its long-term challenges.
