    Got this for free on PS plus and decided to give it a go. It's surprisingly enjoyable to explore the old world ruins, and at times quite atmospheric. Nice deep crafting and upgrade system. Tons of loot to find, and everything is rendered on your character, which is great. Runs great at 4k on PS5, even at max quality mode the game usually stays at 60 fps. The combat is quite wonky, it's often hard to dodge things in melee and everything hits like a truck, so I found it safer to use ranged weapons and occasionally dash in and out to cast some AoE spells. There's a bit too much dialogue, and it often feels like babbling, it doesn't offer much. Overall though, it's quite decent. I've certainly played much worse open world games than this.… Expand

    Biomutant is the biggest and longest AA game I have ever played. I appreciate the density and scope of this game. The game has an ambitious amount of characters, enemies, abilities, and locations for a budget title. Maybe Biomutant should have had less.

    Biomutant sparkles as an open world, RPG-lite action adventure game. If this were on Dreamcast, we might have a game of the year winner. Combat is simple enough and yet filled with options. The Biomutant can use “wung fu”, dual wield swords, shoot lightning like Emperor Palpatine, or rain down bullets. Traversal is also full of opportunity. Biomutant can ride furry horses and happy sharks, use gliders and helicopter backpacks, and mount a giant mechanical hand with a howitzer hidden in its finger. The world itself is a toxic ruin left by misguided humans who burned it all. In a refreshing change for the crowded post-apocalyptic genre, the ruins of earth are colorful and fun.

    And now we go dark. The game does not look good. I explained the premise of the game to my youngest child and the response was, “So it’s Horizon Zero Dawn that doesn’t look good.” The graphical issues are that simple. Some AA games look amazing, but that is all a matter of scope. Biomutant is a sprawling epic filled with destinations and puzzles. This is the problem. Bandit camps are the same cut and paste bases. Toxic areas are also cut and past. By the time I was half way through the game, I felt like I had finished a NewGame+. This was all reminiscent of the Ubisoft style open world games. Ubisoft has enough trouble with this Ubisoft style open world games. Other games do not need to adopt Ubisoft’s exhausting open world.

    The “less is more” mantra should have been adopted in all facets of this game. Most enemy encounters are the same combination of one big guy and a few little guys. Most gear that is picked up is redundant crap that fills up your inventory and is exhausting to dismantle. Vendors are all the same. Whole towns are the same. Quests have the Biomutant cross crossing the map in obvious padding. AA games do not need padding. Some of us like shorter games!

    Full disclosure: I downloaded Biomutant through PS+. Any long time PS+ subscriber is drowning in a backlog of quality games. My playthrough of Biomutant was exhaustive at over 30 hours and I was ready to tackle that next game. At another time, a game like Biomutant would have held a special place in people’s hearts. Now it’s just another title in an ever expanding library that you will never play.

    All-in-all, Biomutant is a fun RPG-lite adventure game with those good old fashioned Nintendo feels. Good. Not great.    … Expand

    An ambitious but shaky misfire that had some good potential. The crafting and artistic style of the game is interesting and feels unique. Unfortunately the negatives such as the stretched-out gameplay, annoying voice acting and unfocussed story cancel out the positives. It soon feels like a chore to endure.

    This game bummed me out. On the surface, there are so many things here that - if done more effectively - this would literally become a perfect game for me. But it's just not executed well at all. There's a lot to like, and initially, I was absolutely loving everything about it. But the more time you put into it, you start to notice all the problems with it, and there is a ton of them.This game bummed me out.     I heard about all the technical issues at launch so I waited over a year to play the game with all the updates + the next-gen update, and still, it left me disappointed. No matter what graphic setting you play on, the game is just downright ugly. Performance mode was most ideal for the more consistent frames but I played on this game's Performance+ equivalent and it was at least relatively consistently hitting 60fps. Playing in quality mode is not doable and I genuinely believe that. The game still looks ugly as hell but can only consistently pull 15-20 FPS and it looks terrible. Genuinely not sure why they even have it available as an option.

    It doesn't feel like a current-gen game or even a last-gen game honestly. I legitimately believe with even the most minor tweaks this game could run pretty similarly on 360/PS3 era hardware.    … Expand

    Overall it was pretty good and enjoyable game when fighting and looting but story telling type was pretty boring because its made dialogies so long if you dont skip story teller but somebody maybe like it. Story itself was okay though.

    I genuinely don't understand the low user scores. Biomutant isn't for everyone. There are areas of the game that could use some improvements, and while the fetch- type side quests aren't all that bad for what they are, the fact they're fetch quests will likely throw a lot of people off.

    But the total sum of Biomutant is a very solid and fun game in it's genre. It definitely lends ideas    I genuinely don't understand the low user scores. Biomutant isn't for everyone. There are areas of the game that could use some improvements, and while the fetch- type side quests aren't all that bad for what they are, the fact they're fetch quests will likely throw a lot of people off.

    But the total sum of Biomutant is a very solid and fun game in it's genre. It definitely lends ideas from a lot of other games, and I'm not sure if that's the reason behind why so many people are rating this game unreasonably low, but it also provides a few really creative and fun ideas in it's own right. I already hope and look forward to a sequel to this game, as I had a lot of fun exploring the vast and gorgeous world of Biomutant.

    It goes against my own principles to do this, but I'm rating this a 10 to offset the negative reviews, as I can't even imagine how this game could be perceived as outright bad from an objective standpoint. My honest rating would be somewhere between 7-8. With a few improvements to what's already there, I can easily see this game at the very least providing an experience that's comparable to that of the Far Cry and Borderlands games. The closest comparison that comes to mind is probably the latter.    … Expand

    I like its universe, its music, and I like to explore its world. The gameplay is pretty nervous and enjoyable.

    Kinda shocked about all the bad reviews. Biomutant is a very sweet game - yeah, it isn’t perfect and has its little issues but it’s really not as bad is some describe to be. Nice story, amazing environment and open-world & a very catchy soundtrack. Give it a try when the game is on discount, it’s really worth it. I really hope for a sequel sometime.

    Worst game I have ever played. Try playing a flash game on the web, it will have more details than this game.
    But what made me upset is the fact that they made a cool trailer, showing an amazing game. But truth is, this is the worst game on the PS store and it should be removed.

I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of course influenced by my personal opinions.

    (10) Outstanding. A truly elite title that is nearly perfect in every way. This score is given out rarely and indicates a game that cannot be missed.

    I’ve been catching up on my backlog and ran into this gem. When it first released, I didn’t care for the art style and I assumed the story would be barebones so I stayed away. I eventually got it for free and went to my backlog until I got the whim to play it. There is surprisingly a lot to this game. You’re always running into new gear, tools, weapons so there is a lot of customization to your weapons and appearance. The story very good too. You have two paths that you can take, light, dark, or a little bit of both. Join a clan and slowly take over 6 others along with trying to save the world. Typical foundation to a bunch of games but it’s done well. The story isn’t going to surprise you but the world is just very unique and great to explore. I looks like a bunch of people have skipped this game since I barely see any user reviews for this game. Give it a try, you wont regret it. Wish I played it a lot sooner.     A Game where the Trailer is the best thing of it period.

    The Soundexperience is basically absent from the game. There is no audio feedback for any of the actions you cause on screen. No fight gives you a feedback on what you perform on screen to the point that i checked my sound system if its on. The Motion was definitely not from a MoCap session and looks wooden and disjointed from    A Game where the Trailer is the best thing of it period.

    SO i had really high hopes for that game and i am very happy i didn't buy game at full price , since the game is NOT worth the money OR the disc space on your ps5 -.-

    Opening cinematic looked promising but when it's over, the real tragedy begins. Customizing your character might be acceptable for some players (not me of course), but it just doesn't feel right. The combat mechanism is kind of funny and enjoyable but not for a mature person. Anyway, I could only play it for less than an hour.

Varietà tra mutanti, Zombie soldati della dinastia cinese questi sono i nemici, i rompicapi alla Biomutant, l'aliante cinese visto in Immortal's Fenix rising.bil combat System alla wo long fallen dinasty molta verticalità nelle mappe salto ma senza rampino e arrampicata. I quattro divoratori con un linguaggio più maturo. Il protagonista dovrà affrontare ogni boss fight in ogni forte che sei ne sono 6 boss per conquistare il territorio, affrontare le 4 minaccie del mondo di gioco come in Biomutant il protagonista può sfruttare arti marziali cinesi. Concettualmente è molto vicino a Nier Replicant e Horizon Zero Dawn che nella Cina che fu l'umanità in via di estinzione si regredisce tornando al periodo dei tre regni. Doppiaggio in italiano. Al centro l'albero della vita. I biomi sono montagne prateria cascate, foreste deserti, e molto altro ancora. Purtroppo non ci saranno le nuotate. Si può pensare di farlo molto simile a Sonic Frontiers diviso in diverse isole ultra terrene attorno all'albero della vita un mix tra Sonic Frontiers e Monster Hunter.… Expand

I want to say I enjoyed the game meanwhile I mostly just dredged through it, it has some things to offer but the root of the problem is, Biomutant tries to be too many other games mixedThis game seems to have missed out on the fun factor. The narration is very neat and works with this game. The narrative voice is also relaxing and a pleasantry, but can be much, at least there is a setting to tone it down if you wish. The world could be smaller with the amount of repetition in this game but I digress. There are time where the game has a skip like feel to it or minor bugs/glitches, sometimes immersion breaking graphics or flaws, had to reload my game to fix a mission that goht started too early I guess, things like these keep games unfinished. If you aren’t trophy collecting in this game then you most likely will put it down within 3-6 hours in. This game has a lot to offer and it is fun at times. The trophy list is rather simple and straight forward. You don’t even have to see the end credits to platinum or do mostly anything.… Expand

    Combat is very fun until it's not. One of the more repetitive games out there. Boss fights are pretty terrible and there are like 4-5 different enemies.

    Karakter buildi konusunda çok seçeneğiniz varmış gibi geliyor en başka fakat bu da bir göz boyama.

    Biomutant had bags of potential but squandered this at release. The developers have now had a year to to come out swinging with fancy-pants graphics and dozens of wholesale changes the game needed. It could have been Biomutant 1.5. Instead, the game is still let down by all the same questionable game design, pointless side-quests and ghastly amount of narration that makes you want to blow your face off. The PS5 update brings framerate smoothness to make combat feel and play better – it’s really this new version’s only saving grace. Unfortunately, that’s not enough to improve upon our original verdict.

    Biomutant on the PS5 is, for better and for worse, the same game published a year ago on other platforms. Its enhanced graphics are a nice addition, but the flaws of this action RPG still reside in its outdated gameplay formula.

    Loading times are faster and the whole title feels a lot smoother, more polished thanks to its next-gen makeover. For those who didn’t like the title in the first place, I’d say avoid. But if you’re intrigued, and you have a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription, it might be worth you trying out the two-hour full game trial on the service before purchase. For those with the original, it's a bit of a no-brainer to download and resample this version.
