Let me start off by saying that I am such a big fan of the series that I have 2 Ryza figures and a Lila figure that cost around $200 each along with a few really nice posters from AmiAmi. Needless to say, I absolutely love the characters and series. That being said, I’m completely disgusted and disappointed at the state this was released on PS5. Needless to say, I absolutely love the characters and series. That being said, I’m completely disgusted and disappointed at the state this was released on PS5. Muddy textures, low resolution, horrible fps, jittery camera, washed out colors (I think from poor HDR implementation) After a few hours of play I had to download Ryza 2 because I didn’t remember it looking so bad. After loading into my saved game I was greeted with crisp clean graphics and silky smooth performance. I don’t know if this was Gust’s doing or Koei Tecmo but this absolutely shouldn’t have been released like this! If it’s ever patched and fixed I’ll gladly come back and change my score but until then, I’ve quit playing and will come back when it no longer looks and plays like garbage and I can enjoy my experience instead of continually exclaiming, “Eeew…WTF?” Expand

I had such issues running ATELIER RYZA - it was slow and litchy. Looked good but ran so bad.

The shift to an open world mostly works, though the rest can feel a little lacking compared to other entries. But the cosy questing will hook you. [Issue#27, p.86]

Building an entire series around a single character was a bit of a risky choice, but I’m happy to say that Ryza, as a character, held up as someone who’s worth checking back in on over and over again. In ten years will we be looking back at Ryza as an iconic-level character the way we do Sophie and Platcha? Probably not – but that’s an impossibly high bar. Ryza had an incredible adventure to go on, and now that it’s done, I’m glad we got the chance to go on it with her.

Even though Atelier Ryza 3 hasn't changed much compared to the previous entries in the series, it is still an emotional experience that gives the fans a memorable ending.
