Ryza 3 is massive! It has 4 big connected regions to explore without any loading time, also include bunch of improvements and expansions on the already perfected gameplay. Also without spoiling anything, it has overwhelming bosses fights and heartwarming closure to the adventure!

Spent the whole weekend playing Atelier Ryza 3 and must say I am totally impressed and overwhelmed! The secret key system introduces new and even more in depth combat and explorations, at the same time comes with stunning graphics and soundtrack as expected. Best game this year for sure!

Don't let the performance issues deter you. This game still looks and runs great, and is already getting patches to fix it. This is by far the best game that Gust has ever made. The combat , crafting, open world exploration, the characters, the story. It's all top notch.

With a renewed gameplay system and some very curious new characters, this game is the cherry on top of a summer adventure to remember. However, its extreme ease and an alchemy system that seems like a complete step back for players who have been playing Atelier saga games for a long time, make us think that this might not be the direction that traditional players want.

While it is true that Ryza has propelled the franchise to extreme levels, not everything goes just to please new players. One thing is clear: Atelier Ryza 3 has nothing to envy other great JRPGs and is increasingly earning a place and renown to continue being consolidated as the benchmark among a good mix of JRPG and "Slice of Life". Despite all of this, do not hesitate to give it a try, because I assure you that it will not disappoint you at all.

As much as it pains me to say it, I hope that Ryza's adventure is finally over and they can focus on something completely new and completely detach from this character that has already given us so many good moments.

a perfect end to a trilogy that surpasses its prequels in every regard.

Story 6/10 kinda bland as all character development was finished in previous games, still interesting enough tho with likable new character. Minus for Japanese only voice acting, seems kinda cheap imo, this is fine during cutscenes but when exploring they talk allot and it forces you to stop and read the small text on the screen.

Combat 6/10 typical atelier combat easy to completely break but challenging if you restrain yourself. example i killed the last boss with 1 bomb making the battle last 1 second this needs some balancing in the future.

ATELIER RYZA 3: ALCHEMIST OF THE END & THE SECRET KEY is an amazing game that KoeiTecmo has done an amazing job with. The game has a great story, beautiful graphics, and plenty of fun and challenging gameplay. The Alchemy system is well-crafted and enjoyable to use and the game's visuals are stunning and vibrant. The music is also fantastic and the voice acting is top-notch. Overall,ATELIER RYZA 3: ALCHEMIST OF THE END & THE SECRET KEY is an amazing game that KoeiTecmo has done an amazing job with. The game looks a bit like a Genshin Impact, but unlike this game, it is distinguished by the best physics, graphics, easier RPG system and very beatiful arts. This cocktail of combinations makes the game quite different for the Japanese game market. Of the disadvantages, I can single out a not very good open world and some clumsy animations.

Let me start off by saying that I am such a big fan of the series that I have 2 Ryza figures and a Lila figure that cost around $200 each along with a few really nice posters from AmiAmi. Needless to say, I absolutely love the characters and series. That being said, I’m completely disgusted and disappointed at the state this was released on PS5. Muddy textures, low resolution, horrible fps, jittery camera, washed out colors (I think from poor HDR implementation) After a few hours of play I had to download Ryza 2 because I didn’t remember it looking so bad. After loading into my saved game I was greeted with crisp clean graphics and silky smooth performance. I don’t know if this was Gust’s doing or Koei Tecmo but this absolutely shouldn’t have been released like this! If it’s ever patched and fixed I’ll gladly come back and change my score but until then, I’ve quit playing and will come back when it no longer looks and plays like garbage and I can enjoy my experience instead of continually exclaiming, “Eeew…WTF?” Expand

Previously to me the game was a 2/10 because on ps5 it was unplayable on the 1.0 to 1.3 releases.

Now? On 1.05 DOF can be disabled, (this was the BIG one, it was causing headaches within 2 minutes) HDR is not a joke anymore, its not perfect but its very very decent finally Performance. Feels like a stable 60 without stuttering on ps5 now. It feels awesome. Before it felt like 20

Performance. Feels like a stable 60 without stuttering on ps5 now. It feels awesome. Before it felt like 20 FPS and there were weird frame skip like effects all over the place. Those are ALL gone.

Text size, only small increase, however the background behind it now has better coloring and less transparency, so you can definitely read it now, unless your tv is maybe too small. On 65’ its perfect.

Normally I would give this game an 8, with the above fixes.
Im giving it a 10 now because GUST and KT actually listened to its players. Which is just unheard of in 2023. That is absolutely worthy of 2 extra points. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK. (And maybe next time dont release too early lol)

Release was really terrible but after the last update to the game, it does not even feel like Ryza 3 anymore. Everything was improved vastly. To ALL THE OLD REVIEWER simps saying not to listen? You see, THIS ^ is what happens when a game had tons of problems and devs fix all of them. A re-reviewed score. Game simps are a serious problem these days with their “dont listen yada yada” game was absolutely 100% not, good before. Not even a little. Updates fixed that. Even their last patch notes 1.05 list the problems that are now gone.

If that lying “dont listen to x y z” bs was not true before, then WHY ARE ALL OF THOSE THINGS IN THE PATCH NOTES YOU WORTHLESS SIMPS.

Either way, game is super good at last. I do encourage getting it.
And remember boys & girls, NEVER listen to simps. Otherwise problems will never be PATCHED.

A game with a lot to explore, but no reason to explore it.
The crafting system is absolutely amazing, like always, but pretty much everything else has taken a back seat at the end of this trilogy. The characters are 'ok', the story is forgettable, the battle system is meh. Overall, the whole experience felt underwhelming.

The shift to an open world mostly works, though the rest can feel a little lacking compared to other entries. But the cosy questing will hook you. [Issue#27, p.86]

Building an entire series around a single character was a bit of a risky choice, but I’m happy to say that Ryza, as a character, held up as someone who’s worth checking back in on over and over again. In ten years will we be looking back at Ryza as an iconic-level character the way we do Sophie and Platcha? Probably not – but that’s an impossibly high bar. Ryza had an incredible adventure to go on, and now that it’s done, I’m glad we got the chance to go on it with her.

Even though Atelier Ryza 3 hasn't changed much compared to the previous entries in the series, it is still an emotional experience that gives the fans a memorable ending.
