Jan 21, 2025Arizona Sunshine Remake feels like a modern VR title, despite first releasing in 2017. Though relatively short, Sunshine provides an exciting, fast-paced, zombie shooter filled to the brim with intense situations, great gunplay, and humorous dialogue. The addition of horde mode and two DLCs certainly add value, though one DLC fares better than the other. Still, as an overall package, Arizona Sunshine Remake is well worth the cost of admission.

Oct 30, 2024Vertigo Games has made a fantastic remake here. All of the updates, DLC packs and fixes found in the sequel are all here in one great package, and I wish my original experience was more like this when I played the first release. I was unable to revisit the original due to not having a PSVR system when they finally decided to patch things up. I am so glad I was able to check Arizona Sunshine Remake out as it has completely erased my original experience. This is a great title for the PlayStation VR2 (and other VR platforms) and should more definitely be in your library alongside the fantastic sequel.

Nov 1, 2024Arizona Sunshine Remake is a fantastic update of a classic zombie game in VR with noticeable graphical and gameplay improvements, and all the extra content included.

Oct 21, 2024Does it make any sense to treat an eight-year-old game to a remake? In the case of Arizona Sunshine, the answer is most definitely yes. Vertigo Games has done a fine job reanimating its undead classic by giving it some welcome Quality of Death upgrades, vastly improved visuals, and better than ever controls. Unfortunately, the seated mode seems to have gotten infected a bit and doesn't live up to the task at times. But if that's all, this Freddy is a happy Freddy.

Oct 17, 2024One of the best PS VR 1 games comes back as one of the PS VR 2 must have.

Oct 17, 2024It seems odd giving a remake of game a higher score than it's sequel but the Arizona Sunshine Remake takes all of the good elements from it's sequel and thankfully, very few of of the bad elements. Great fun in co-op mode, but playing alone makes it more tense, scary and certainly more of a challenging.

Oct 17, 2024Violent, satisfying, and a lot of fun, Arizona Sunshine Remake is exactly what VR fans expect from a game with total uncompromising gameplay. The update takes the best elements of Arizona Sunshine 2, but reinforces it with additional content and considerable graphical improvements.

Oct 25, 2024Arizona Sunshine Remake is a very welcome remaster in a world stuffed with game remasters. VR technology has improved tremendously in the years since the original game launched. This is especially true on the PlayStation side, where the inside out tracking of the PSVR 2 has replaced the light-based tracking of the PSVR 1. If you have fond memories of Arizona Sunshine, picking up this Remake for $10 is a no-brainer.

Dec 4, 2024Arizona Sunshine Remake should be in the library of every action game fan and VR headset owner. It's not a perfect game, and there aren't many improvements over the original, but it's honest and bloody action that could have been a lot better.

Oct 28, 2024Arizona Sunshine Remake is a perfectly fine and fun game. On the killing zombies front, it's a great experience with head-popping gore, and a few weapons that feel really fun to run around with. That's about all there is though, and there's a real question as to whether or not its really the best use of your cash to pick it up, especially when there's an already strong sequel out, or if you've already played Arizona Sunshine on PSVR.

Oct 17, 2024For those keen to revisit this PSVR classic, the remake is still a fun zombie shooter, with solid gunplay, brilliant graphics, and a decent wee package of content. It's also launching at a reduced £25/$30, making it fairly inexpensive. However, if you're new to the series and want to dive straight into the series at its best, we'd recommend its superior sequel over this.
