Some of the best moment to moment gameplay, enhanced by the art style and banger of a soundtrack. I'm over 40 hours into this game and still discovering new builds, loadouts, and secrets. Must play, and it's free on PS Plus this month so you're crazy not to download and sink a couple hours into it!

Played about 20 hours since launch. There is fun to be had, graphics are great with a soundtrack that surprisingly grew on me after a bit. It blends a few genres into one without realy doing anything new, but I think it achieves execty what it set out to do. No game of the year but if you like the idea of fortnite gameplay outside of a battle royal or pvp set up, I'd say give it a try.

Really fun, a great surprise from PS plus! I found myself playing for a few hours when I planned on playing for 30 minutes. It is surprisingly addictive.

Downloaded on PS+ for my PS5 and am loving it! Shooting mechanics are tight, art style is colorful and it's just binge worthy fun. I've spent about 12 hours on this game in the past 24 hours so yeah I'm pretty addicted.

The only bug I encountered Is when I played adventure run mode with others. There is an objective that tells you to destoy siphons or entities. Sometimes the objects are not present so you are stuck in the mission forever. The only option is to leave and that sucks. Story wise....There is really no story in here. If there is then it's just messy. And I did not like some other aspects of the game but overall it did not affect the gameplay experience much but this is more like a chill game you play while talking to friends but its definitely entertaining Expand

Really surprised by this. For a game in early access it is incredibly well polished. Great art style, fun combat and solid customisation. I look forward to seeing this game grow and hope it can continue on to become a big hit.

I love Arcadegeddon. It is VERY VERY fun. Fluent mobility, smooth gunplay and pretty graphics. The customization is really well done too. gets more and more exiting as you progress through difficulty. Good variety of guns and enemies. I hope the game keeps a constant flow of new content that will continue to keep the players engaged. I would also like more PVP game modes.

Lots of fun, weapons feel unique and there is a lot of room for different play styles. Makes a great family battle night, and especially fun to play with a group of friends. I'm glad I was able to give it a try on PS+. The gameplay is surprisingly addictive and I have spent hours without even noticing trying to get a more perfect or stylish run than the last. The gameplay actually reminds me of an action sports video game but with shooting. Sometimes there were enemy encounters which I didn't care to speed through, but wanted to wrangle many of them in a group so I could get the most stylish and interesting kill.

This game is refreshingly unique and has a music style and general atmosphere that you don't see in many other games. It seems that IllFonic has been on the up-and-up and this game shows that they care about fun experiences. With friends, things can get a little confusing and the checkpoints for game modes are not always the most well-defined.

For me, the biggest seller is the variety of weapons and the randomization of levels. It keeps things interesting and there is always a new weapon combo I'm trying. So far the Ice Chipper and Slicer all my favorite, but they are all interesting in different ways.

I am not much into purchasing cosmetics, but the ones which I see others with are cool. There is a Reddit page as well where others are showing off their "drips". First time I've heard that word referring to an outfit/kit, but it's cool. I like seeing the high scores, as well. I'm currently trying to get on the leader board as that is my major goal with the game.

Definitely worth a shot. I didn't expect much but for mindless fun and something new I would say this is your bet.

Arcadegeddon is the best feeling game I've played In so long. I honestly don't know why this game hasn't seen a massive wave of hype I'm super in love with it even though the gameplay loop is simple. The only negative I can think of is the fact I've already seen PC players using cheat engine which is just **** dirty when endgame is a leaderboard. I mean come on guys it's a skill based challenge there no real benefit to cheating it just makes you look like a d-bag. All in all I give this 5 out of 5. I can already tell once I burn myself out it'll become my casual go to game for killing time or in between games which is exactly what I need Expand

The story is weird, but what ruins this completely is how absolutely stupidly online was designed.

Short matches, yay! Ruined by the fact they chain together into insanely long runs and reset challenge progress if you leave, also I've never gotten new matchmaking as a staying player. Then there is the scoring, playing a team game with capture points and you focus on defending your mates

Then there is the scoring, playing a team game with capture points and you focus on defending your mates on the point? Sorry you didn't score so you get less points than the losing team. What??

None of this even mentions the connection issues and lag.

A local arcade owner trying to save his business recruits a group of top gamers to enter his game and defeat the minions of a rich corporation looking to take over.

A fast paced shooter with relatively satisfying core mechanics and decent multiplayer options, but the gameplay loop based solely around collecting loot and levelling up for your next run quickly became far too repetitive.

    Thoughts-
In a space as crowded as the multiplayer rogue-lite shooter genre, you better come correct if you’re going to take a stab at carving out your own audience. Thankfully, Arcadegeddon mostly does just that. While its central theme of standing up to modern sensibilities with creativity and uniqueness is somewhat undercut by the fact that Arcadegeddon’s own gameplay largely just ends up catering to modern multiplayer expectations, it’s something that is pretty easy to ignore most of the time. The combat comes in swinging with tight and speedy action. The cantankerous enemies and bosses are a blast to take on, and the perpetual loop of accomplishing newer and bigger challenges while improving on each and every run almost immediately falls into place. On top of that, it runs like a dream on the PS5 and I encountered no notable stability issues that I can recall. For 20 bucks, it’s a pretty solid package. I wish there was perhaps a tad more meat on the bone with the narrative and more of a willingness to buck current trends with its conventional weapons, level layouts, and overall structure, but if you’re looking for a slightly different spin on this tried-and-true format, you could certainly do a lot worse than Arcadegeddon.

It’s fun for maybe an hour then you realize there’s nothing to do except do the same arcade mode over and over again with no real story and just one small hub to run around and turn on quests. Wish they’d make it a looter shooter and let you keep your guns instead of just customize them..

The core mechanic are not in place for early acess, the game is not fun. The objectives are pointless, the looting system requires a headphone to detect sounds.
About loot, there is no diversity. The weapons are fun at some point, but you get tired fast. The controller settings are limited to casual gaming.
This game requires a lot of attention And feedback, but it can get somewhere

Fast-paced, 1 to 4 player fun! This game is great value and packs in a lot of content for the money. The developer is responsive (2 updates already -and counting- in only 2.5 weeks since launch) and the games' community is very enthusiastic and supportive. I highly recommend Arcadegeddon to any fan of shooters or co-op gameplay (it has PvP too!).

Everyone wants to earn those challenges and climb the leader board! A colorful unique world, it has a full load of levels, but I could always have more, as when you play it over 300 hours you just want even more of those unique ideas and experiences. DLC please. The music never gets old. Seriously. Phenomenal mixes and beats keep you churning and grinding up / leveling your weapons all through the night. I just can't get enough of this game... wanting more -levels, weapons (especially melee), and BOSSES! Yeah the story is light, and you need to do the NPC challenges to move it forward, it more than makes up for it in a solid gaming experience through the bosses. Worth it for the music alone, and seeing a fun, cyber-wack fresh environment with some serious to comical weaponry. I think far too many players are trying to speed rush through the levels and leaderboards. Sure it plays well this way, but I enjoy a medium pace and even just playing alone to explore the areas and get the challenges, seeing what I can do by myself without anyone there to save me. Definitely worth checking it out & especially playing with friends. VFX may not all be ground breaking but they fit well and are awesome -Joe VFX approved- ARCADEGEDDON delivers! Expand

Arcadegeddon has thrilling gameplay and a lot of guns, stages and enemies. It’s a blast, although some people may feel that there aren’t a lot of features to keep you attached to the game. It may feel that you're always doing the same stuff and after a few hours.

I cannot help but appreciate how Arcadegeddon hooked me into this really player-friendly loot shooter. The arcade-y elements are replayable, rewarding, and worth playing with friends. Arcadegeddon hits the spot as an MMO with roguelite elements with an awesome arcade aesthetic. But, I want more. Much more. If Arcadegeddon is to succeed in the MMO/roguelite space in the longer term, some of the advancement mechanics (such as preserving progress of longer runs) and lategame gameplay needs to be refined and expanded. I want additional modes like time trials that can easily and reliably completed in a single sitting. At the same time, I want some additional variety to make a three hour gauntlet exciting to reach. If you’re wanting a co-op loot shooter that’s easily picked up and played, look no further than Arcadegeddon. If you want something deeper, wait around a bit. Hopefully Arcadegeddon can hit that sweet spot, too.

After a year in early access, Arcadegeddon has evolved and expanded to become a good multiplayer shooter but failing to make a qualitative leap.
