Nov 3, 2025While it’s difficult to adapt a story that people already know so well, Microids has done a great job of making sure that it feels fresh with new characters, plot beats, and an updated setting. Whether you know the original Agatha Christie story or not, detective game fans will be in for a treat with Death on the Nile. Let’s hope Microids continues its Agatha Christie adaptations as it clearly has a winning formula on its hands.

Oct 6, 2025A retro-70s recontextualisation works wonders in Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile, adding a delightful stylistic flair to the classic whodunnit. With a charming cast of bougie suspects, satisfying puzzle-solving, and some thoughtful additions to the narrative, this is a unique and compelling rendition of an iconic tale. Despite some janky controls and the occasional frustrating puzzle, this is a solid mystery adventure for Christie fans and newcomers alike.

Sep 29, 2025Here’s the Skinny Microids adaptation of Death of the Nile: is a stone-cold groove. Microids has taken the nifty mechanics laid in their previous Poirot joint, Murder on the Orient Express, and refined them til they’re super fine. More than just putting Poirot in some funky threads, the developers have taken the basic plot of Agatha Christie’s classic crime novella and made it their own by expanding on the text by fleshing out minor and tinkering with minor plot points in clever ways, as well as creating a whole far out b plot that takes the already rad tale to some far out places. Ya dig.
