Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution is the perfect game for lovers of this franchise. A remarkable longevity and many playing cards ensure many hours of fun, despite the unforgivable laziness on the visual side.

With over 10,000 cards for your deck, this is the perfect game for longtime Yu-Gi-Oh! lovers.

The digitised card system gets the job done, building on other versions we’ve seen in the past, but still has irritants. For instance, instead of getting a window of time to activate a quickplay card, it gives you a dialogue prompt after every action asking if you want to use it. That said, with so much content, it’s hard to complain. [Issue #175, p.76]

Yu-Gi-OhLegacy of the Duelist Link Evolution is the most complete and faithful production to the franchise in terms of content offer, despite its old-fashioned and uninspired design and aesthetic.

Other than a few issues here and there - incredibly small text being one, which I beg be patched in the future to allow for scaling - Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution is the pinnacle of all the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG video games. It's one that honours each generation in a way that will make fans from across all eras of the franchise feel warmly welcome - if also sometimes a tad overwhelmed.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution is back. The PlayStation 4 version includes many new cards, but not too many new features.

The experience, on the whole, cannot be said to be as profound as that of other congeners, but remains deeply rooted in hearts and in the common imagination thanks to the iconic power of the legendary animated series.

The bottom line is this: the gameplay, abundance of cards, and fan service mean that those looking for a virtual Yu-Gi-Oh! card game experience have come to the right place. The overwhelming learning curve and lack of production values means that it’s probably not the best way for newcomers to experience the series though.

Game has not released in time. Absolutely pathetic. People can't afford a Switch so us PS4 players are so upset for a late release.

It has always been my favorite and I have also wanted to have a game for PS4, I liked it has the cards and the story originally from the manga and anime, except for 2 details that I did not like about this game:

In Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS lacks the story, the VRAINS anime ended in September, 2019, and this game was released in March, 2020 they had to take their time to put it.

And every time the opponent's turn begins, each time it stays stuck for minutes only in Campaign mode, but the rest is good for Yu-Gi-Oh! fan.
