    If the WWE TV product needs to get rid of Vince to improve and move forward the same needs to happen with Yukes and WWE games. Another disappointing entry in the series, full of bugs and boring same modes.

    I thought FIFA 18 and NBA 2k18 are bad. Then I played this "game"... Absolutely, the worst game in 2K history. Lagging as hell, absolutely F---K MICROTRANSACTION F,,,K EA Mirosoft

    2k developers should feel ashamed of the self, I guarantee none of them are going to put this game on their CV. It's yet another lazy cash in of a now extremely dated game.

    The PvsP games really improved a couple of years back with the reversal stock system, but since then It has remained stagnant. Firstly let's get the positives out of the way, it looks it bit nicer, and they added    2k developers should feel ashamed of the self, I guarantee none of them are going to put this game on their CV. It's yet another lazy cash in of a now extremely dated game.

    The PvsP games really improved a couple of years back with the reversal stock system, but since then It has remained stagnant.

    Firstly let's get the positives out of the way, it looks it bit nicer, and they added 8 man matches. They didn't bother to actually add survivor series matches, but with the match editor, 2k will at let you make the matches they were too lazy to add.

    Now onto the negatives, it's pretty much the same negatives as the last few years but with pout the poisitives: Awful commentary, Glitches galore, tedious my career mode, pretty much just a sandbox game (imagine FIFA if no one played online and you only had the exhibition option), and then to top it all off, the sandbox, the games only real selling point that the community can share CAWs as to make dream matches or just recreate some nostalgia, is constantly locked behind a paywall of dlc. All the characters that any older fan who doesn't have time to spend endless ours unlocking through the most tedious means possible is expected to pay extra amounts to unlock these wrestlers from the get go.

    Loyal fans of the series will continue to buy it, and continue to say it's the best game ever in order to trick others into buying it so they have the slightest hope at playing a game online, but deep down the guys giving in 10s know that this is dire.

    Hopefully one day a decent company will be in charge of WWE games, but until then we'all just get more of this rubbish from the joke of a company that is 2k.    … Expand

    In its current state this game is literally unplayable. The bugs in career mode are ridiculous and game breaking. Besides that there jump being made and the upgrade points being granted in career mode are not and i repeat NOT generous at all. You have to put a **** ton of time in to get a good rating, while they expect you to do an OMG mode early in game. (Which i also broken). The gameIn its current state this game is literally unplayable. The bugs in career mode are ridiculous and game breaking. There is barely any real choice or player agency, and on the rare occasion that there is, the game will most likely glitch and ruin the experience.

    The loot crate system put into place, for unlocking gear and moves for your player to use is predatory, in terms of the grind it demands of you. (This only applies to MyCareer. Everything is unlocked for Create-A-Wrestler for use in other modes.)

    Universe Mode is largely unchanged from the past few years, but old glitches return, and new ones pop up, including many that cause the game to crash entirely.

    The in-ring action has improved, so much so that I'm willing to not rate the game a zero. Commentary is a nice plus, having improved considerably with the removal of Jerry Lawler and his incessant skwaking. Still, repetitive lines do occur.

    Graphically, we get a nice boost for most wrestlers, and with a large roster to play around with, there's definitely a lot of choice. Creation has also gotten some nice options as well, which is a breath of fresh air.

    In a few months, hopefully some patches will make this game a worthwhile purchase, but at anything more than $30, this game is a ripoff.    … Expand

    OK first off I have played every single version ever of any WWE game dating all the way back to WWF In Your House, so i bought this game on a digital platform thinking "it's going to be great and worth the money!" I was wrong, yes it is beautiful and the game play isn't too bad. Yes you get a match here and there, but for every 3 or 4 promos i get one match and no ability points. The ability to grow your character is very limited and boring, I regret wasting my money on this. But I thought buying the digital copy would be worth it, I was completely wrong. I am going back and buying 2k16 or 2k17, rent the game from a game rental place before investing all your money. This game is bad, they need to start over and use some of the great things about previous games that worked and get rid of this version of the game. Whomever was in charge of overseeing the development of this game, needs to be fired. They have not made a fun game to play, but they made a great game to look at.… Expand

    MyCareer:
    I don't see how a WWE game that came out in 2003 can have voice acting, but this game still uses text? That bugged me substantially. Some of the story inside the mode was decent, but it just felt flat with the text. Not even that, the text never reflected well on the superstars. Having Braun Strowman talk to me backstage about food, or having a completely unrealistic promo. The backstage free roam part was useless, but did have more potential to be better. My biggest hate of the game comes from the loot crates. 98% or so of the gear and moves are locked behind loot crates that cost VC to gain. VC is slowly destroying 2K games. When I am creating a character, I want to experiment with different move sets, gear etc. With loot crates, you struggle to do this and unlocking specific gear or a specific move you want is a complete gamble. Even more so when you need to upgrade your stats and too focused on loot crates, it can become an extremely frustrating experience. Loot crates need to be stopped in games. After the first year, it becomes more free roam, however the bugs ruined everything for me. I couldn't continue. I won the MITB contract and cashed in against Orton, won the title, but afterwards I won the Tag Team title by myself. No patch still from 2K which shows how much they care about this game. Road To Glory is a terrible idea as well. Good luck finding a match in there.

    Universe:
    If they just took this out, and added Manager Mode back in it would be better. I like the idea of experimenting and setting up rivalries I would want to see in real life. The loading times are just far too much for me, and I couldn't enjoy much of it because of that.

    Gameplay:
    A lot of bugs that still haven't been ironed out. I was in a 6-man tag match, I irish whipped Curtis Axel and he just floated into the crowd and never came back. It was crazy. The gameplay is the exact same as 2K17, just with the carry system which is better. And the inclusion of 8-men, which should've been in years ago anyway.

    Overall:
    They need an overhaul. Take a year or two out. The game is very quickly becoming stale. I know WWE expect a release every year, and 2K is still finding their foot after THQ had it for so many years. But seriously, this game needs a major overhaul. Take out the loot crates, they dampen the experience. Graphically it's good, and can play well at times. But the modes themselves need a vast improvement for this day and age.

    Do not buy. If you're a die hard WWE fan like me, wait for a deep deep sale to buy this. Or wait for the patches to be made (if they can ever be bothered too).    … Expand

After all of the rage last year, they have yet again dropped the ball, didn't even bother to update it or fix issues that were complained about last year by MANY. How could you NOT want to correct an issue with one of the most popular female superstars on he roster today. Totally unacceptable. Then there are the god awful bugs and glitches that returned from the previous year, how is that even possible. The madness! And let's not talk about the frame rates and the pacing issues in some match types which just render then unplayable. It's a total disaster. All in all, this is just last years game, that has been polished with pretty graphics and new additions to the roster. Is it worth the buy if you just want to have it apart of your collection, sure. But if you're purchasing because you want to play and enjoy it, then don't. I'd suggest waiting for a black friday sale, or at least until the game is no more than $19.99… Expand

    Full of bugs,same kind of matchs ,no voices in the career mode,physics still awfull (like the two tables finishers and only breacks one), new Graphics? Really? put rehsade on wwe2k17 and after that we talk about Graphics

    For someone that is new to the WWE game for the PS4. This would be a 5/10. And that's being quite generous. For old timer, it's 4/10. Nothing new. Just rehash the old game with new roster, change career mode and release it again. With nothing fixed.

    + Gameplay (It is more realistic than the Arcadey game - imo is a nice direction) + My Career Story (just a bonus-nothing special,    For someone that is new to the WWE game for the PS4. This would be a 5/10. And that's being quite generous. For old timer, it's 4/10. Nothing new. Just rehash the old game with new roster, change career mode and release it again. With nothing fixed.

    - Bugs, Bugs.. and new bugs. (For every bug they fix from previous game, they introduce a new one)
    - Awful Loading Time (Unless you have PS4 Pro... I cannot even remember how long I waited for some of these mode)
    - Attributes Ratings : Putting Roman at 95... just so we have to buy the Attribute editor, Why not be like your brother NBA 2K, where they actually hire someone to do realistic ratings!    … Expand

    I'm 42. When I was a kid I loved wrestling. I'm not a big fan of the WWE or wrestling games anymore.
    That said this gave had potential to interest me. With a free rental from RedBox, I created a character and wanted to get to bashing heads. Then I waited through over an hour of unhelpful "tutorials" that barely taught me anything and backstage wandering... I had to look up aYouTube video    I'm 42. When I was a kid I loved wrestling. I'm not a big fan of the WWE or wrestling games anymore.

It's not just one or two small glitches, entire matches - the Royal Rumble, elimination matches, so many things are unplayable because the matches never finish. Something happens and the wrestlers can't get up, or can't react, or don't go for a pin etc. etc. and match just never finishes. Backstage matches even worse, everything isI am sorry but the game is completely 100% unplayable.     Instead of improving year on year Wwe2k seems to go forward in some areas but backwards in others. The season pass wrestlers are way below par, for the price you would expect someone bigger than Elias would added. There are other decent wrestlers added but they are stand alone and its shocking they are not included in a poor season pass offered.     The only place WWE2k18 shines is in local multiplayer. I have had some epic matches with friends. But even epic matches have been ruined by crashing or wrestlers teleporting.    … Expand

    The AI of this game is absolutely atrocious! Majority of the game is loading screens, my career is a buggy mess, and most of the unlockables come in the form of lootboxes. This is by far the worst WWE game I've played in years

    How is it that we let these people make and sell us the same crappy game year after year. Not only do they price gouge you this game is so glitcy it puts ps1 games to shame. This is ridiculous and unacceptable its times for who ever is working on these games to go away from the game industry forever. If you can't tell i am really pissed off.

As soon as you take the game off easy and switch the difficulty to normal, it becomes nothing but the AI kicking your butt. Even putting their reversal slider limits down to nothing, they will still reverse 9 out of 10 times. The reversal system in this game is the worst part. Why even bother having a button prompt if it's useless? If it shows up on screen, and I push it, it should just work. The roster is also way behind the times (even when it came out). Kevin Owens was w/ Sami Zayn when this game came out, yet they have him w/ his "New Face of America" gimmick. The DLC includes so many John Cena reskins, it's disgusting. Why no Undisputed Era? Why no Woken Matt Hardy? By the time 2K19 comes out, they'll have the Miztourage as if it were a brand new stable. Save your money, this game sucks.… Expand

MyCareer does not give us control, the story is a rail and you would think they put money into paying wwe stars for voice overs but nope, only voiced are the old recycled commentary from 4 years ago.     by far worst game i've ever seen from ea, lags out constantly with both good internet and makes us in different lobbies when it lags so we cant play with each other worst game ever highly do not recommend this is causing u more pain so by buying this game it takes away more than it gives, worst game 0/10

    Worst wwe game I’ve ever played. It’s literally garbage, the models are garbage, the gameplay is garbage. The submissions and Pinfalls are garbage. This game is garbage. If you want a good wwe game go to svr because the newer ones suck.

    Except for the new updated graphics and hair mechanics, it's pretty bad. Loading is slow and its just nothing good. I'm writing this in the future time so this is after every patch. It's just a forgettable game and there are just better entries to play

    Great looking and robust to handle, 2K18 authentically replicates the full WWE experience - right down to the occasional, entirely senseless, unhappy ending. [Christmas 2017, p.82]

    While WWE 2K18 does hit enough right notes for a recommendation, it still leaves something to be desired. As much as I like the style of these newer games, I miss being able to be as nonsensical as the older ones would allow. All in all, it's a toss-up for me.
