Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot has a lot of potential and a lot of very good ideas, but it’s a very short experience and doesn’t have any replay value.

Although it's short and lacks replay value, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot is such an immersive and enjoyable experience that it's worth purchasing simply to pilot its 3 unique and powerful robots. Let's just hope Bethesda expands this gem into something more worthwhile.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot works like gangbusters. It makes you feel the impact and brutality of every dog fight, effectively 'as if you're truly there'. It's brief though, and won't win any awards in the graphics department.

A brief, but memorable experience is at the core of Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot. Downright stunning environments serve as a backdrop to exploring the streets of 80s infused France. Between the solid performance level and the fluid controls, this is Bethesda’s best excursion into virtual reality. Given how well the title succeeds at pretty much everything it sets out to do, we hope that this is step one to a fully fledged Wolfenstein VR title down the road.

The production values are impeccable and it runs perfectly on the PS4 Pro/PSVR — if there was more meat to it, I’d call Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot one of the most enjoyable VR cockpit games around, but with such a paucity of content, it doesn’t justify even a budget pricetag.

There is so much potential in Cyberpilot that it really feels like a wasted opportunity. It could be one of the best games in VR, but when things get interesting, it’s over.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot is too light on content to make it worth the price, and what it does well is overshadowed by clunky locomotion and a lack of attention to detail in both level design and VR implementation. Ultimately, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot feels like a tech demo more than a full length VR experience.

The four missions remain merely a small appetizer that has not convinced as an independent game and left me disappointed.

Wolfenstein Cyberpilot's formulaic combat and missions underwhelm, but the premise and the novelty are intriguing, offering a fresh slant on a dark vision.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot has some good ideas which would be great if the developers explored them more. The storyline kept things moving along nicely and the sections in between the main levels were pleasant enough, especially for a first time VR player. Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot could’ve been so much more, yet it’s short lifespan and lack of additional content will make it a play once and forget experience.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot is a missed opportunity, in that the game ends before it can really fulfill its real potential.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot comes with some nice ideas but it's way too short, way too easy and it can't fulfill its potential.

Occasionally interesting ideas and untapped potential don't make up for a woeful lack of content. It's short and it's shallow, but its biggest crime is that it's dull.

There's potential, but Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot ends before it can reach most of it.

A superb VR idea mercilessly crushed under the jackboot of mediocrity. Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot has neither the standout quality to be good, nor the memorable identity to be bad. [Issue#166, p.82]

More of "tech demo" than a valid release, Cyberpilot had all the potential to be a great VR addition to the franchise but fails miserably due to its ultra short duration.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot feels like something that should be free or included in a bundle for PSVR owners. It doesn’t feel like it warrants its price tag and it is linear and criminally short. Even hardcore fans hoping for more Nazi-killing action should probably avoid this one until it drops way down in price. There just isn’t enough here to warrant the price of admission.

Perhaps if Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot was an on-rails shooter, it would've turned out differently. Instead, we have a game that drops the ball in just about every possible way. There's absolutely no reason for anyone with a PS VR headset to touch Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot when there are so many other shooting games that are far better. At $19.99 it's difficult to recommend the game to anyone.

Wolfenstein Cyberpilot feels like a launch title for any VR unit.

Cyberpilot makes great use of VR and some of the series´ best vehicles. But it lasts less than 2 hours, and it is not replayable, and we missed some of the classic Wolfenstein dark sense of humor and easter eggs.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot is a two-hour tutorial for a game that doesn't exist. Despite its (many) failures, it has good ideas and seems promising, but we will never know if it's good because, when the game seems to start, it's game over.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot is a brief taste of what a different take on Wolfenstein in VR could be. Unfortunately, it never really gets out of first gear and lasts what feels like a blip of time.

In spite of some good ideas such as infiltration, Cyberpulot fails to be a complete gain, looking more like a two hours experience with a lazy scenario, a weak sense of challenge, and fighting scenes that lacks of intensity.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot has all of the right ingredients to be an exciting VR game focused on murdering tons of Nazis, but ends up feeling like it’s just too safe with far too little content. Mechanically it works well and there are some quality moments of fun, but just as the world starts to get interesting it’s all over.

Wolfenstein Cyberpilot really lacks of content, and offers boring fights that doesn't provide any good sensation. It should have been bundled with Youngblood, and not sold separately.

Wolfenstein Cyberpilot has some good ideas, but fails in its execution. It's nauseating if you play longer than 30 minutes. Luckily the game isn't very long you would say, but just when it becomes fun to play the game is already over.

While there’s definitely promise in the concept of Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, the shiny visuals don’t make up for the lack of content and subpar execution. It’s a decent showpiece for the PSVR, but at this point in the platform’s lifecycle something with more meat is the expectation.

There's no reason to jump into Cyberpilot if you're looking for another avenue to explore more of Wolfenstein's world. This straightforward shooter lacks the punch to make its action exhilarating and breaks up combat with even more repetitive and slower-paced interludes where you'll do the bare minimum with motion controls to achieve simple and mundane repair tasks. Beyond looking striking for a VR game in some places, there's nothing about Cyberpilot that warrants your time.

What’s not to love about smashing together virtual reality, mechs, and killing some Nazis? Unfortunately, the execution isn’t just lacking, it fundamentally removes many of the best elements of those things, undercutting the strength it could have were it a deeper experience.

Aside from some brief fun to be had with the three machines, Wolfenstein Cyberpilot is hugely disappointing. What could have been a perfect way of getting a different perspective on Wolfenstein’s world is actually a tedious action game with a severe lack of content and none of what makes the series great.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot really should not have been a standalone release; at the very least it should have been bundled in with the superior Wolfenstein: Youngblood. There are glimpses of potential here, but it’s lacking nearly everything that makes Wolfenstein fun. Gunning down Nazis in a virtual reality mech might sound like a lot of fun on paper, but the reality completely misses the mark.
  33. 35
Wolfenstein Cyberpilot will be remembered as a curiosity; a failed side project with cool mechanics and no gameplay. Released without the Wolfenstein name, this would be a slight, middle-of-the-road title with little to recommend it. But with the Wolfenstein name attached, Cyberpilot becomes a debacle. Wolfenstein fans should not play this game. Neither should anyone else.

The game’s first-person-shooter sequences aren’t just dull and familiar, but also clunky, given the touchy VR controls.

Another technical marvel for PlayStation VR that looks amazing and makes clever use of the tech – it’s just a shame the game is so incredibly short and so disappointingly dull.

Not sure why the critics and users are bashing it so much... Sure, it is linear and fairly short, so those arguments are a negative point, but the game also has a reduced price-tag (19 euros here in the European PS store).

The feeling you get from piloting the robots is very nice and immersive, graphics are top notch. So much for the limitations of a PS4, this is definitely proof that next-gen graphics are possible on PSVR. Even the in-between busy-work missions, preparing or repairing the robots are a nice addition IMO. Feels a lot like being back in the "Nebuchadnezzar" (think Matrix) before going out on the next mission. So for me this is a recommendation and a must-buy for anybody with a 3drudder. Just be aware that is is linear and short, but if those two things do not bother you, go ahead and get the game!

Leaving this game a 10 to counterbalance the Nazis voting this game down. It's short and linear, but worth 15$ (no more)
