Entrega um jogo completo, divertido e intrigante. Tudo ta no lugar certo, para por aí, ele falha em tornar-se algo mais. Não se destaca, não entrega algo memorável. Vale a pena jogar se tiver sobrando tempo.

this game is a gem in pool of poo.
amazing voiceactors and superior graphic desgin are pulled to oblivion by dumbfak ideas like "no saves" or "barely any healing" and dumb camera. This is example of briliant concept with dumb design decisions. Such a shame I really hope one day there will be massive update for players like myself, who dont really look for another Dark souls or Bindings of Isaac.

Nice graphics and fun to play for 4 hours and then you have beaten the game. Very short and it get's very boring. Also an update reset all my progress and now i have 2 farm the most the boring trophies again. Better play something else. Also bugged trophy for grinding 100 souls for nothing enjoy the grind

I do not like rogue like type games. The randomness approach for almost everything is something that I dislike, as I never feel that I am trylu developing my character, and then, you die and lose a lot of hours invested into your game, only to be thrown back at the beginning of the "run" to start over again.
However, when I saw several gameplay videos of West of Dead, something moved

However, when I saw several gameplay videos of West of Dead, something moved me... I was like, ok, this is a "Ghost Cowboy" in a hellish purgatory of death and rebirth... combat seemed nice, the cowboy can dash, take cover, shoot from the cover, he is required to light some torches to see enemies in this infinite darkness.... this could work!
West of Dead tells the story of undead Ghost cowboy Mason, who is eternally stuck in Purgatory, Wyoming until he can find the root of this evil stalemate.
The nature of rogues is embedded into West of Dead, but you have never played a rogue like game such as this... each chapter you complete, the game saves your progress up until that point, and the chapters are not that long. You collect new weapons, from revolvers, rifles, and shotguns; but not only that, due to to the nature of it rogueesque nature, these weapons can have elemental damages like ice, or ailment perks such as bleed... you move from room to room shooting the hell out of several demons, collect coins, and you get sins that you can invest at a witch to increase permamntent abilities that will stick with you even if you die; and when you indeed die, you will start from the beginning of the chapter, but at the saloon of Purgatory. Yes, you will lose termporary perks such as increased health, increased damage, or increased reload speed; but that's how rogues are supposed to be played.
To me, the essence of a magnificent idea is there, and it plays out fine. If you find yourself with a lot of issues with the gampelay, switch to a lower difficulty level, and get full aiming assistance. Honestly, the reviewes I've read of this game point out that the gameplay is broken, and it is not. This game is not easy, so cut yourself some slack and play in lower difficulty levels so you can master it.
This game is that good! I hope they develop a swquel, and I hope they can do it in a semi-open world environment, not a rogue like game... but even if they make the game a rogue like game, I know I will buy it, the character, the music, the audio, the visuals, and the whole vibe is amazing.
oh, and at last but not least, the music in this game is freaking awesome!
great game, do not miss it!

But losing it all still stings, not least since some runs stack the odds unfairly. You might wander into a room where two shooters are entirely shrouded by the inky shadows, where a wall obstructs your view of an advancing threat, or an enemy-stunning lantern stubbornly refuses to light. When the RNG is against you, too, West Of Dead feels someway south of a good time. [Issue#180, p.76]

West of Dead adds enough new elements to an overdone genre to keep things interesting and the visual design is truly stunning. If it had more to offer in terms of exploration and map size along with some more enemies to shoot, this would be even better.

The story is interesting enough that I do believe its telling could have been handled a bit better. I think that there should have been concession to story with end level saves and the ability to continue the story from the level you were on when you finished. This could have been turned on or off depending on how hard the player wanted to push themselves. Overall I’d still encourage people to get West of Dead. It would be one of the most enjoyable roguelike games I have played in a long time, and if those little niggly issues are ironed out then I think a lot of people are going to enjoy the challenge and story of this really cool game.
