Apr 6, 2016Unepic is one of the best Spanish games of recent years. It's not perfect, absolutely not, but the sense of humour and its RPG gameplay will catch you.

Apr 28, 2016UnEpic is a big Metroidvania game which offers tons of weapons, enemies and rooms. It easily entertains you for 15 hours, but meanwhile the jokes can become an overkill. Still, the game is absolutely worth your time and money.

Apr 28, 2016UnEpic makes a mockery of all the material that the author knows and loves deeply, if it is true that almost single-handedly he put together a huge and well structured game.

Jul 9, 2016Unepic is not a perfect game by any means. Its tongue-in-cheek premise isn't everybody's cup of tea, and it doesn't particularly break any new ground. Instead what we get is a competent, if slightly linear, Metroidvania-style RPG that knows how to pace itself to keep the player engaged.

Apr 12, 2016UnEpic is a title full of humour, detailed narration, superb voice casting and addictive gameplay. Overall, UnEpic really did keep my attention, which is something I’ve failed to find in relation to indie titles. I wanted to keep on playing which is always a great feeling for any enthusiastic gamer. Despite a few cons in terms in visuals and overall features, it is definitely forgiven and recognition is well deserved for the developer behind UnEpic.

Apr 5, 2016Unepic is an enjoyable retro style action RPG. It has not gotten the attention or acclaim of some more recent retro style 2D platformers such as Axiom Verge or Shovel Knight, but fans of that style of gameplay should give this one a look.

Apr 14, 2016In the end, whether or not you enjoy Unepic will depend on whether or not you enjoy reference humour, and if your enjoyment of the exploration outweighs your frustration with the mediocre combat. Depending on which platform you’re buying it, the game costs anywhere between $9 and $15, so if Unepic sounds like something you’d be interested in, you may want to give it a try. Otherwise, this is one quest you’re better off skipping.

Apr 15, 2016In the end, Unepic would probably be a better adventure game. This twenty hour or so unabashedly old school RPG is frequently broken up by conversations between characters and these interactions are amusing enough to make the often finicky platforming and combat sections worth persevering with.
