I like this game alot, very interesting gameplay, lots of operators. The biggest problem for this game are mouse players on console (xim4), but thats not Ubisoft fault.

Yet here we are, 5 years forward and we have a robust game with an awesome community, a competitive scene, lots and lots of content and progression and a lot of gaming events. To me what Ubisoft managed to do here is amazing, first of all they kept their promises to fix every issue with the game. They even created game modes for beginners in order to make it easier for new people to enjoy the game. The graphics for the game are great considering this is a PVP FPS game. The game runs at a solid 60 FPS and it doesn't have any aim assist. The game offers some of the most intense moments in gaming. Knowing you have to defend an objective for 30 more seconds and you are the only one alive and you hear walls exploding and all kind of devices going off makes you feel alive. The gameplay is pretty much this. There are two teams, one defending one attacking, each team gets 30 seconds to prepare, the defenders to reinforce walls and prepare traps and the attackers to locate the objective (2 bomb sites - coz thats the game mode that is relevant for the game) with drones and to hide drones for the game. Then the attacking team has 3-4 mins to either kill all 5 enemies or to diffuse one of the bombs. The defenders have to kill or enemies or to prevent attackers from diffusing any bomb. Both teams have to chose from over 40 unique operators each having different weapon set and a unique ability. You can rappel, lean left-right, friendly fire, break windows, doors, enter windows, rappel into skyline windows, destroy some walls, destroy some ceilings or floors or use drones (attackers) and fixed cameras (defenders). The game is very fun and complex and the community is also great. For me it is probably the best competitive FPS out there now. It still has some old bugs and since there are so many operators it has a very steep learning curve for new players. 9/10 Expand

The game is really good but when you are playing with your friends there the game really shines. It is, no doubt, one of the best coop games in this generation. It is intense and highly rewarding each round you win and the thrill of killing an enemy, few games give you that feeling of accomplishment. May be intimidating at first, but as you play you feel that you are getting better each game.

Playing this game is a nice fun. A lot of operators to unlock. A lot of different skills. Every operator has unique weapon/talent. Fair system of unlocking (not pay to win). Also single player (10 operations) are great fun for +10h.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. How is that even possible that someone hate this game?!

First of all I tell you something interesting about this game: Ubisoft are supporting this game for almost 2 years already and it’s going to continue for 8 or 10 more years!!! Yeah it’s real! This game is an epic one!
I tell you why they hate R6S...
1: they don’t have enough ability and talent to play (die over and over).
2: they don’t have good or serious teammates to play with.
3: they don’t understand that this shooting game is the most realistic and strategic game between all shooting games like battlefield and call of duty and ...

I tell you some of bad things about R6S that haters always say:
    1: broken servers
    2: terrible glitches
    3: many hackers
4: a few modes in game

But seriously if you don’t like R6S because of these thing, there’s wrong with you!!
Servers are better recently and ubisoft making them better season by season!

Ubisoft will fix glitches as soon as possible, they always did that!

Ubisoft will ban hackers (only for PC) and PlayStation network will ban hackers if you report their PSN ID
And about the last one, Personally I don’t have any problem with this one, corrent modes have enough fun and tension so we don’t need anything else!

Stop reading these reviews, just buy it!

After years of playing CS 1.6, CS:Source, and a bit of CS:GO, this game has filled the void of a tactical, teamwork-focused FPS on console for me. If you're like me and don't have many friends dedicated to PC gaming and all of them have consoles and enjoy shooters with the game pad instead of keyboard and mouse (sort of) then this game is perfect. Even after 3 years, it has a strong player base and constant updated content with new season, operators and maps. Albeit the new maps haven't been met with rave reviews but at least they are trying to keep things fresh, and they succeed in doing that at least. The new operators always change the meta of the game, sometimes for better, sometimes for worst, but again, it keeps it fresh after a new season starts.
There are a couple of negatives. Any sort of game changing bug, and there has been LOTS of these in 3 years, have been very slow to be fixed by the developers. There was once a 'black jesus' bug back in year 1 where your player model basically displayed a standing silhouette with its arms out giving your position away obviously.
Another negative is that as your reach the higher ranks on console, it is evident a lot of players are exploiting the use of keyboard on mouse using 3rd party devices, offering them an advantage over other players. The sad things is that Ubisoft haven't done anything in the 3 years to try and combat this and seem happy for it to happen.
The fact of the matter is that there is no shooter like this on consoles and Siege has thrived in this role. I will be playing it for a long while yet, at least whilst the developers are still supporting it, and with the strong player base that still contributes financially buying season passes, skins and alpha packs, I see this game going on long into the future, probably until the PS5.

I've been playing for roughly a year from when this was written and i have rare run ins with toxic players and such but they are very far and few between, its not that i just pay with casuals, im a Gold 3 which is pretty decent, nothing outstanding but above where you'll find only casual players, sliver and below. I wasn't playing when the game came out so i can't say how much of an improvement it is but either way its one of the best experiences i've ever had.

Gameplay wise, the controls aren't finicky and work intuitively if you've played any other shooter, the one difference is that you can lean by pressing L3 and R3 while aiming, the PC controls are better but a keyboard has 30+ buttons, a PS4 controller has about 10-12 if you include the sticks. The guns have unique recoil and with the new recoil changes you can fully master a weapon's pattern. Sound is very important so make sure to get headphones, they don't have to be expensive, i got mine for a tener. It heavily rewards team play and in my experience the toxicity has been on a steady decline, or just bring some friends with you, you can screw around all you want on casual, as a testament to the community, i've made some of my best friends on this game and people are mostly fine with teaching you if you ask for help. Destruction is one of the big selling points of the game for a good reason, creativity and stealth can be just as effective as being a great shooter. I am a mediocre shot but i can do well by sneaking into close quarters where recoil is easier to control (don't use an ACOG for close quarters) then i can kill easily, you can mislead an enemy on where you will come from by blowing up a wall then entering through a different flank quickly. No 2 matches are alike because everything can be destroyed partly so new sight lines always show up, map knowledge will help but you'll get that in time so don't worry. Bugs are occasional but rarely problematic, normally funny or just unimportant. The servers can be iffy but majority of the time it will work fine.

The graphics are 1080p and look fine, they aren't like the new COD and Battlefield graphics which are more realistic than real life but they look decent, the maps are looking better also, so in a few years expect to be fighting in fully destructible 4k environments. The blood looks normal, bloody, it won't get on your clothes or anything like that though. The music is good for building tension but i disable it so i can hear where the enemy is coming from easier, or hear the quiet things (you can call it 'sound whoring').

At the start you will die over and over and over, its a steep learning curve, but that's what makes it so rewarding when you play well, why i still play after a year even if my friends aren't on, it's like dark souls in that way. At the beginning every small victory is amazing because of how hard you've had to work to get it. If you go on a decent few siege forums and just ask for help to get better, there will be a decent few who will give you a hand.
Most review talking about server crashes were made back in year 1, that's now rarely ever a problem. My only complaint is that there isn't a fleshed out campaign to get people used to the game like other rainbow six games, there's only situations which will barely teach you anything, the AI plays nothing like real players.
Either way this is one of if not THE best first person shooter on the market, also, it's set to keep getting free dlc for at least 3 more years probably more and it won't get a new siege game every year or so like how COD does it

If anyone wanted a competitive game that was like CS:GO. I couldn't think of a better alternative. The game's skill gap is very large and is very refreshing compared to the variety of FPS games out.

Situations is a great way to introduce new players to the game. Terrorist Hunt is a great AI mode and very effective way to warm up your aim. The game's gunplay is amazing and it's nice

The game's gunplay is amazing and it's nice to try out the arsenal of guns with the game's large amount of maps and operators. Every operator feels unique because of their gadget. Although there are some that share a lot of similarities.

I love that the game gets updated regularly about every 3-4 months with new operators, maps, bug fixes, and new features. I also love that you can get new operators by earning them and that you can spend money to skip ahead, but it doesn't make you good or anything.

I love the destruction and how not every game will be the same and how one can develop multiple strategies for every objective for every map and for every operator.

After experiencing Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 in my younger years and thoroughly enjoying it, I was hoping to experience something similar with Siege, only to be left slack-jawed at just how disappointed it left me.

Siege's controls and gameplay felt foreign, and it gave me zero reason to maintain any significant level of interest. It is a functional game, but feels entirely devoid of life.

The lack of a singleplayer hurts this game, seeing as all other R6 games had decent ones.

Multiplayer: The main focus is multiplayer.
You can play 4 modes, of these are 2 completly useless. The only viables are CASUAL and RANKED. Multiplayer plays smooth, although litered with DDOSers (Console) and Hackers (PC).

Gameplay: No match is the same in R6S. Although that statement is true, it gets boring after awhile through the sheer toxicity and seriousness of games, even in CASUAL. Most of the time you get enemies which think they will be the next pro players, making this game not really fun. Toxic teammates, that kill you for every little thing dont help. You will get burned out fast.

Bugs and gliches take long to be fixed, mostly 3 months, some even returning after they got "patched" Also the devs seem to only listen to the pro players, not the playerbase.

Should you buy this game? If its on sale somewhere? Yes
    Otherwise no
