Skip this and fire up "Space Invaders" instead.

Puppy games is a studio notorious for having extremely unforgiving money systems in their games. Both of the Titan games are good examples. If you don't purchase upgrades ~just right~ you're screwed. Combine that with no saving between levels so you're forced to completely restart, and no idea what you're buying / fighting against until

It is a good retro game with great gameplay and nice retro visuals. Got if from PS plus and found it quite addicting. It definitely isn't for everyone. If you're looking for a modern game, this is not for you. But if you want to enjoy a good retro experience you may find this one quite pleasing.

hey look, a game that you can get on steam for $2 via trading.

i'm sick of indie ports on ps4.
these games aren't very good, and they have been available for a long time.
chances are this game would run on any laptop...

An excellent retro-shooter (with 3 way cross-buy between ps4/ps3 and vita), with strong influence from classics like Space Invaders, Galaxian, and a smidgeon of Asteroids. Far from "Excellent" or "Good"
So many problems I have with this game.
You have to practically milk your money to beat the bosses as you'll be so underpowered it's beyond stupid.
Gets kind of boring after awhile too.. stick with the classics like Asteroids.

One of the most addictive retro-shooter experiences I've played in a very long time. The levels are fun and challenging, and I keep finding myself coming back for just one more attempt to topple the next boss. That is my one complaint with Titan Attacks though, every boss fight past the first one feels cheap. The game starts to boil down to how much cash you can put towards your shield upgrades in a battle of attrition with the mother ship. Outside of that I find myself coming back to this game multiple times a week for some bite sized space shooter fun. Expand

Not really sure how this game got past the Q&A-department, because there is some very noticeable and game-breaking lag on the PS4-port. A Fun classic twin stick shooter. I really like how you can purchase upgrades to make getting threw level alot easier. Just a little too easy. But a fun enjoyable experience.

Titan Attacks is a fun little game by a British Indie developer that’s perfect for quick blasts on the go.

Titan Attacks is a fun little game by a British Indie developer that’s perfect for quick blasts on the go.

The gameplay will remind you of Space Invaders, you control a tank which can move left and right along the bottom of the screen and above you are attacking aliens who move left and right slowly progressing down the screen towards you, firing shots while they move.

The idea is simple; destroy them all by firing your tanks weapon before they destroy you. This simple idea leads to some addictive gameplay as you rack up points and earn money to buy upgrades and supplies. As you complete each stage without taking a hit you also earn a multiplier, which keeps increasing with each stage you clear until you take damage, which resets the multiplier.

Destroying the attacking aliens involves some precise timing as you need to ensure your bullet hits them as they move and you also need to keep an eye there bullets coming towards you so you can move out of the way.

During the levels ships which drop bonus points and supplies will fly across the top of the map and you need to prioritise shooting them so you can claim there rewards.

At the end of each stage you can spend the money you’ve earned on more shields, a more powerful gun or new weapons that give you the edge in the next battle.

The graphics are simple and colourful and the background changes as you progress through the stages. The soundtrack keeps you focused with its retro style beats.

There’s a leaderboard where you can compare your scores against the world and your friends to see how you stack up.

Overall this game is great fun and really addictive and for £7.99 you get the PS3, PS4 and PS Vita versions so there’s really no reason not to try it.

It's a basic game in design and premise with just enough there to keep things interesting, and while it's not even remotely going out on a ledge with new design philosophies, beautiful graphics, or a lengthy campaign, its hook resides in its quaintness. It's unapologetically old-school.

Titan Attacks is a fan service to space-invading brethren of old, but strip away the charm and flattery and you are left with an antiquated, short-lived experience that facilitates just a tinge of classic fun.

Almost as simple as a shooter can get, Puppygames’ space blaster owes its success to our inability to be satisfied by a personal best. The premise and genre make more sense on the Vita than the PS4 (though options are always nice to have), but Titan Attacks is charmingly simple and hugely playable on any format.
