Unfortunately the only thing that keeps this game from being an utter bore is the charming narrarator. You'll spend the first couple levels hurrying through feeling interested in the story but really its just a craving for entertainment. The story which has been called "beautiful" is actually quite forgettable. I found myself ahutting off the game only because i couldnt rush through another slog of 5 pieces fast enough.
The graphics are nice (for pixels) and the game feels solid (though jumping can feel a little late) but overall this game will only be remembered for its first level where the narrator says "Thomas Was Alone." Thats my favorite part.

Quirky indie title that strips the platforming genre down to its bare bones. It's not much to look at - the characters are literally a bunch of coloured squares and rectangles - but the puzzles are well thought out and the amusing narration that's like a cross between a children's book and a programmer's in-joke has a Black Mirror-esque vibe to it. The very old school vibe won't be toQuirky indie title that strips the platforming genre down to its bare bones. Thomas Was Alone was a top title when it originally released, and it remains so today.
