Fantastic game. Best I've ever played.
Some people complain absolut the combat. It may be the worst part of the game. I honestly think it was very good. Didn't bother me in the slightest.

The best game of my life. You immerse yourself in it, you see a lot of good and a lot of sad things in the game. I like non-linear games, and the witcher did just fine. I went through the game 3 times, and all 3 times it was very interesting to pass. I recommend to everyone

Quite simply one of the best games ever made. I only had a couple of glitches but due to the size of the sandboxes I can forgive them. A truly great story, lovely environments, great characters, and Geralt is, well, Solid Snake the high fantasy version and that can't be bad. Oh yes, Gwent! Great card mini game.

well it's sad to say that geralt's story has ended, the white wolf got a satisfying ending to his amazing trilogy.
starting with the combat i never understood the people who hated it, deep system with variety of options gives u the feeling of a real witcher .
quests is genre defining to be honest especially the side content this is game is full man and nothing is repeated to my surprise

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the best games of this generation. This game and Red Dead Redemption 2 are the best sandboxes we can find nowadays in the game industry. The main story of The Witcher 3 is one of the best stories that video game's companies ever made. Maybe at the beginning could be a little bit passive, I mean, there's a lot of dialogues and if you are a gamer that doesn't like large scenes or conversations, it might be tough. However, when you find Yennefer, the story goes totally awesome. Your own decisions can decide the main quest, the secondary missions are one of the best in the game industry and there are some moments in the main story that will make you feel very very happy, sad or even terrified. The world of The Witcher 3 is amazing. Every place you go, you always have something to do, and this is very enjoyable. The weather is the best one of all games until nowadays. The wind, the sound effects and the illumination is incredibly well done. The playability is true that in the first 20 minutes is awful. When you get used to it's still a problem but you can enjoy the game as every other game. The physics are well structured, and that's a good point, although if you fall from a cliff with your horse, you don't die, the horse disappears and you keep aiive. In conclusion, the quality of the game, its world, its characters, its stories and everything else is superb, although you will need a lot of free time to finish this masterpiece. I want to give this game 9,75 / 10, but I rounded and I think its colser to 10 than 9. If you like great games, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt must be one of yours. Expand

The biggest fantasy world in the games that I have ever seen. The story is amazing just like the side quests. AND of course characters. There are so many charismatic characters that makes play the game being only more interested after each dialog. For me that game opened a great series of books that I like a lot. Even after this many years, I think Witcher 3 - is a masterpiece.

Boring as **** It starts off really slow and when the world does open up you are stuck in an endless loop of fetch quests and some of the worst combat ever. The side quests which this game gets praised so much for are nothing special. They are all the same, requiring you to gather an item or kill some thing. I wonder why a game like Assassin's Creed 3 did not get praised as much as this even though it had meaningful, story-driven, well written side quests in 2012? Why didn't that game get similar critical acclaim? Its combat system and characters are also a million times better.

Another big problem I have with this game is the Witcher Senses mechanic (another way to say "Detective Mode"). This is basically same as the detective mode you find in Arkham games. But unlike those games where that mode is meaningful and helps locate enemies when you are surrounded by dozens of them and do not want to get spotted, the Witcher 3's Witcher senses serve no purpose. They are mainly used in those 'murder mystery' solving like scenarios where you walk around with the mode and everything is highlighted. You go up to the highlighted item or location and click a button and you do the same until the trail ends. I get no satisfaction out of this type of gameplay. I'm not solving any mystery. I'm just pushing buttons at the place where the game wants me to. Basically, I'm letting the game play itself.

Even its most highly praised quests are the same. You need to find Ciri, a girl who is like a daughter figure for Geralt so he just goes around asking for her and for a little piece of information they ask him to do a favour for him and this is where the bulk of the game's story is. You doing stuff for other people who tell you to go meet next person who may know where Ciri is and then you doing a favour for them, rinse and repeat. Yet this is being hailed as "great writing". If this is great writing and storytelling then I'm sorry but that only means that video games have an incredibly low standard when it comes to storytelling.

This game does nothing that hasn't been done before. Its main quests are nothing more than the countless fetch quests you find in a game like Skyrim.

One of the best games of the generation, the long and captivating history with a excellent gameplay. There is so much missions and side quests on this journey that I can't count. The witcher 3 fulfills your role of being the best game of 2015 year and, for me, the best game of all time

Currently on my third play through of this. It's quite simply the greatest RPG of the modern era, probably the greatest RPG since KOTOR (and I'm old enough to have played that when it came out). It's as close to flawless as a game can get, and I can't wait for Cyberpunk. Thank god for CD Project Red.

The Witcher 3's subject matter, its almost defiant doubling down on its treatment of women as titillating props for Geralt and the player, even as it tries to flesh out more female leads, is its most disappointing aspect. This constant presence weighs down what would otherwise be an excellent bit of closure for Geralt's video game saga — which isn't helped by the control issues that often detract from sequences meant to break up open-world monotony.
